Reviews for Agriturismo L'Olivara

Review 1:The location is a good ways uphill from the train station; there is a nearby bus that runs hourly until 6:30 that passes close by L'Olivara but we didn't know about it the first day. We took a taxi up that first time. The location on the hill is what gives the wonderful view!

Review 2:Antonella and Augustino were wonderful hosts, very welcoming. The room (well-appointed apartment, actually) was delightful with a lovely view, especially at night. On the eve of Epiphany, they hosted us and several other guests to a truly spectacular home cooked meal. I wish I knew Italian so I could have understood the lively conversation. Antonella and her husband speak English very well. They have two friendly dogs, including the young Cashew, who loves to explore and play. We were given a tasty and sumptuous breakfast each morning. I am a farmer, and enjoyed exploring the terraced plantings. Antonella dropped us off at the train station when it was time to leave. We had a delightful time.

Review 3:Towels and sheets were worn and should be replaced.

Review 4:Beautiful setting amongst olive trees. Close to Sorrento without being in the city. Spectacular views.

Review 5:There were neighbourhood dogs that barked all night, this was not in their control but it made for poor sleep. Friends were in one apartment and there were ants on the counter. We were there with 3 other couples and the breakfast was prepared once, if you came down later you ate what was cold. The towels were suppose to be white but on the gray side.

Review 6:The Hosts were very nice and friendly, we were able to have their housekeeper do a bit of laundry for a benefit to her. We had trouble finding it with our GPS and the owner came down the road to greet us and we were able to follow him back the last few blocks. The view from the upstairs room was beautiful. The room was clean. The dogs were extremely friendly and loved them, like home the dog is always happy to see you lol

Review 7:The trip to town was worth the effort but somewhat strenuous.

Review 8:The family that hosted us were most accommodating! They don't usually prepare an evening meal but prepared us a fabulous meal when we asked. The breakfasts were lavish and plentiful. The view from our room (request the room at the top of the stairs) breathtaking . We particularly loved the town Piano di Sorrento. Small, friendly, beautiful and not a lot of American tourists.

Review 9:Locatie moeilijk te vinden in het begin. Advice: ask the owners how to get there!!!

Review 10:Het uitzicht over Sorrento en de heerlijke rust. Appartement heel fijn met eigen tuin. En wat een gastvrijheid!! Such a beautiful place.

Review 11:The garden was lovely with a spectacular view over the bay of Naples. The room with the balcony was romantic and cosy with a nice bathroom and a great view over the hills and part of the bay. We felt very welcome as if included into the family of the owners who were always there to help. Breakfast was Italian like sweet but good and the dinners we had additionally were very tasty.

Review 12:problems with shower mosquitoes, but you get a device against it :)

Review 13:nice appartment with kitchen, 2 big beds, garden where you can sit and eat in summer, friendly owner who speaks english very well & can give you tips, friendly dogs & cat we felt at home :)

Review 14:access was a little difficult. Insects, would have been good to have some screens at the windows so that they could be left open. In the text it says the restaurant is open, what restaurant? we were not able to eat on site. Would be good to suggest that people in the apartment bought food before they arrived, this would have been helpful.

Review 15:The hosts, the view and the bakers along the road. We had a very enjoyable time

Review 16:Saying goodbye and the authorities who stopped us from kidnapping anotella

Review 17:Anotella and her family were amazing...they were so helpful. The view was just the best. She cooked us a meal as we arrived late at night and I was just so thankful. The homecooked pasta was to die for, the real italian meal I was looking for was found. The breakfasts are great, as is the local wine...did I mention the tomatoes or the olive oil or the figs????.Everyting is grown on the little garden farm. Its a little bit further up the hill so a taxi is needed to get there and back, so plan the day.But what a great place. Thankyou again guys

Review 18:kitchen facilities not great. Very remote so car is a good idea.

Review 19:View, position, hospitality, garden, food were absolutely perfect. Antonella went out of her way to make our stay perfect. She cooked us the most delicious meal on the first night when we had no food with us.She gave us regular lifts into town and to the supermarket as we had no car.

Review 20:Unfortunately it was just too hot to sleep comfortably without at least a fan, which wasn't provided. We were also bitten up by mosquitos due to there being no screens on the windows. Obviously this may not be a problem in cooler weather, but with it being August we got virtually no sleep...

Review 21:The location is quite beautiful and the hosts were kind and welcoming. A nice breakfast was provided for us in the morning. They gave us a good recommendation for a very good, reasonably priced pizzeria nearby for dinner when we arrived.

Review 22:Mosquitos Too hot

Review 23:Owners Breakfast Children bed

Review 24:Great view, friendly owners, pet-friendly. Outstanding breakfest. Really great place for relax!

Review 25:Very beautiful place and nice staff !

Review 26:Rather dificult to find

Review 27:Relaxed atmosphere Stunning view Friendly people

Review 28:Fantastic place, lovely people.

Review 29:At the beginning of our stay the cupboard of the kitchen and plates were a bit durty, probably caused by the previous tenants. However, after this was cleaned, it was ok.

Review 30:The nice location in between olive & lemon trees. Very nice host family. The women of the house gave us a lot of very good tips (hiking in the nearby mountains, boat trips, etc.). The 2 dogs of the family were very nice too :-).

Review 31:The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They cooked us a superb dinner with vegetables straight from the garden in back. I couldn't have felt more at home. The view of the sun setting over the lemon groves and Mediterranean Sea from our bedroom window was breathtaking. We would have loved to stay longer and hope to return in the future. Thank you! (We will let you know how the homemade Limoncello turns out!)

Review 32:Maybe Wi-Fi could be better to cover guest rooms and yard.

Review 33:Owners of this location are very friendly kind and helpful. Even when they struggle in English, they try to understand you. We've expected countryside relaxing and we've got all what we've wanted. Wonderful view on bay of Naples. Tip for those who want to stay there: it's obligatory to get with yourself wine, olive oil and limoncello produced on this farm. And you're need to be ready to drive narrow mountain roads and be ok with animals and insects wich live there since it's a countryside. :-)

Review 34:The furniture of the garden and a few things in the house are a bit 'old' and could be renewed. But no hard feelings, all the rest was just perfect!

Review 35:Very nice people, great view, nice garden, children friendly, excellent traveltips, nice food.

Review 36:Nothing not to like!

Review 37:The view of the bay of Sorrento from l'Olivara was stupendous fromany direction. I could have stayed hours in my room or outside in thegarden, taking in the real sights an old stone country house on theAmalfi coast with an olive orchard to boot. The place is a real live inhouse, and looks like it, no pretense. And then add in a most friendly, helpful and down to earth set of hosts who speak English and are willingto give you a ride when lost, and who can cook a delectable lunch ordinner if you just want to stay at the inn and eat al fresco watchingthe bay, pure relaxation! Of course, all the best sights of the Amalficoast are easily reachable from this B&B, and best of all, youdon't need a car (in fact, more of a hindrance sometimes, plenty ofbuses and trains to take you where you want).

Review 38:The blanket was a bit warm for our liking but thats easily solved!

Review 39:Everything was absolutely perfect.our 2 year old daughter loved the playground amongst the olive trees.we had a delihtful stay. The room and grounds had the most gorgeous view over sorrento, the sea and the mountains! The gardens are stunning and sooo relaxing.you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, yet you are so close to the city!

Review 40:I liked the people; warm, friendly, willing to help. I liked the view from the room, the beautiful location, the closeness to the city, the great cakes in the morning, the olive plantations surrounding the house, and the comfortable bed.

Review 41:Everything was to our satisfaction.

Review 42:Really nice owners. Very helpful. Really nice house and surroundings. Enjoyed it very much! Charming.

Review 43:Very good , Antonella was very helpful

Review 44:you should be careful when using navigation. it could show too narrow a road. in that case, you should find another route...

Review 45:good resting place...

Review 46:nice people fine food excellent tips for visiting places wonderful location and room
