Review 1：Bathroom was a bit smelly ... Maybe some pipes not working as they should?

Review 2：Clean, spacious, nice location. Perfect for our break during a road trip. Receptionist at check in is incredibly nice and makes you feel very welcome.

Review 7：The internet connection is a real horror, 1 Mbit download and 0,1 Mbit upload speed is not what to expect in 2015 in a four star hotel in Europe. The breakfast is the sweety Italian style, but it's quite boring, so do not expect changes in the choices.

Review 12：Great location. We booked the top floor room with terrace. Well worth the extra cost. 50 m2 with sofas, sofas and sun beds. Breakfast generous to be italian. Spotless pool area!

Review 13：So nice hotel to stay at! If you go to Bolsena - stay here! Quite and comfortable place to spend holidays for all the family. The receptionist Martina is very kind and helpful.

Review 16：Could not use the air conditioner, it was exceptionally loud. Sounded like a bucket of bolts rattling. Breakfast was very poor if you like salty instead of sweet. Some items lacking (salty) such as cheeses, deli meats 45 min before closing time. A ton of sweet items though.

Review 20：The hotel is in a very nice location next to the Lake and there are some good restaurants and downtown within easy walking distance. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful.

Review 21：The restuarant is not on site but over the road in a sister hotel. It seems a shame that the hotel doesn't man JTS bar fulltime and open up the lovely ground floor terrace. I am sure it would be really busy as it is a wonderful spot to enjoy a summer evening, a glass of prosecco and to people watc.h

Review 22：This was our 4th visit so that says a lot. We live most of the year in Italy but look forward to the hospitality of the Hotel Royal every couple of months. It is a gem. A hotel with that old-fashioned elegance that seems lost in modern hotels these days. The setting is perfect and we always book room 309 with its large private terrace overlooking the lake and marina. The staff couldn't do more for us. We shall be back again very shortly.

Review 26：Lake Bolsena is a little gem that many haven't heard of. Not your typical tourist attraction but a very quaint little town, making it quiet and peaceful. The hotel was very clean with friendly staff, secure parking and a beautiful pool area.

Review 60：There was a lot of noise in the hotel - at night, there were gurgling sounds coming from the plumbing system, telephones ringing and in the morning loud music coming from the street. Also for breakfast there wasn't a great deal of variety, especially if you want to eat healthily.

Review 70：The hotel was right on the shore of Lake Bolsena. The hotel was very nicely decorated and clean. The pool area was gorgeous. The pool was surrounded by hydrangea plants in full bloom with wonderful statues interspersed among the plants. The area was beautiful and well maintained. The hotel has free parking and actually wi-fi networks were abundant so there was no charge for usage. The city and restaurants were all in walking distance and it was an oasis of calm and beauty.

Review 71：The Royal is a great hotel to stay, right on the shore of Lago di Bolsena and centrally located in the beautiful town of Bolsena. The rooms and the surroundings are beautifully decorated, in an art deco style. There is a free Internet point, which facilitates much one's stay. There are many good restaurants and cafes within reach of the hotel. The small park in front of it is superb. The staff is excellent. I would definitely re-visit.
