Review 1：Absolutely no complaints. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Review 2：Hotel Vega was wonderful overall. Marco, Mohammed and Natalie worked so hard to make our stay perfect, plus had a good sense of humor! Our lake view room was hard to beat, and breakfast was fresh, with eggs made to order. Marco also arranged for transport from Verona and back, and served a full breakfast early when we had to leave before the usual breakfast hour. The five-course dinners were fantastic (for 10 Euros each) that we ended up dining there for three of the four nights. They also gave good ideas for things to do. Thank you, Marco!

Review 3：Although we booked at Hotel Vega, our booking was passed on to the Hotel San Marco just down the road. San Marco is a nice hotel but if I had booked it direct through Bookings.com it would have been cheaper for the same room.

Review 5：Fantasticly clean. staff were very helpful and approachable. The location is perfect with a quiet decking area overlapping the lake. Would strongly recommend booking a table for dinner, food was superb.

Review 6：Overpriced between May-Sept. Bed was too hard, aircon was noisy and was on timer so was totally turned off at 9am and you have no control over it as you don't get a remote. Aircon also didn't cool room properly some nights so had to open balcony door.

Review 14：My wife and I liked everything about this hotel which we chose for our honeymoon. The location just outside the main centre of Malcesine is close enough for a short 2 minute walk to the local bars and restaurants yet at the same time just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be quiet. The hotel backs directly onto Lake Garda and the views across the lake from the terrace, garden and restaurant are stunning. All of the staff at Hotel Vega are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Review 15：The hotel décor feels dated but it is new furniture, maybe it is just not my taste. This could be a fabulous boutique hotel but the furniture and fittings are not high quality enough. It is spotless though and others might like the style.

Review 16：The hotel has the best of both worlds - situated right in the centre of Malcesine and on the lake front. The staff were fantastic. Welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Review 18：I have walked past the Hotel Vega many times walking into Malcesine from other hotel further out. What a joy just to step out of the doors and be right there in the centre . It is stylish , modern and very clean and run and owned by Marco. Great terrace over the lake and the meal we had was excellent . I want to go back !

Review 19：Not really a bad experience but we would have liked coffe and tea making facilities in the room. Be careful walking out as the pavements and streets are cobbled.

Review 20：The hotel is located in the centre of Malcesine making it ideal for the ferry and all the bars and restauarants are minutes away. We were at a wedding at the castle so only a a short walk up the hill. The hotel and the staff were very good and helpful. The view from the breakfast room was stunning across the lake.

Review 28：As a frequent visitor to malcesine I have stayed in many hotels and this is by far the best , a bit pricey but excellent ,if you factor in the breakfast which is extremely good and even offers table service a great view and a good selection of food ,then you are paying no more than a cheaper alternative .top class staff and they don't take the mickey with alcohol prices on the terrace either .

Review 32：Sadly for us although the whole area was much calmer and less busy thanin the prime season we were disappointed that many of the restaurantsand bars were closed which was surprising given that it is half term athome. As for the hotel the choice and quantity of evening meal food waslimited but then it was only Euros 10 per head!

All other incidentals accruing during the stay such as Wifi, car parking and meals etc were payable in cash only. They were totally inflexible on this and they took all our remaining cash and left us with just 10 euros to last the day until our evening flight. A very very unsatisfactory ending to an otherwise good experience. Also, the Wifi was a bit hit and miss in our top floor room!

However I would perhaps say to bear in mind that the advertised hot tub can not be described as 'hot', or even luke warm...rendering it unusable, which is a shame. Apparently this is the temperature at which it remains and can not be increased. We booked a suite specifically so that we could make use of the 'hot' tub so were a little disappointed to be honest.

It seems as though the hotel has recently been refurbished as everything appeared brand new and spotless. Review 43：We just loved this hotel. It was so clean and in very good condition. The view from the restaurant is stunning! I could seat and watch the mountains in hours if they just let me. Breakfast and dinner was very good! Hotel is located in a centre of Malcesine and at the same time its few meters from the lake. We can definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 45：Food, Staff, Management but mostly the great location directly at Lake Garda. Our room was lakefront where we enjoyed the boats and small cruising ships passing by, the ducks and swans playing in the water, and the church bells ringing near by.

The dinners - aside from the fabulous view from the dining room - were hands down the best dinners we had during our entire stay in Italy. Our room had an amazing view of Lake Garda and was very comfortable. The location was perfect - easy to get to all the shops and activities of Malcesine, but still very quiet. I would absolutely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to get back to Lake Garda.

Review 92：Everything. The Hotel Vega's location right on Lake Garda is special. The old town is interesting. Hotel Vega is in contrast: extremely modern. The dining room is all glass, Lake with great food. Excellent breakfast and all round fantastic value. The staff are exceptional, Natali on front desk, Marius in the restaurant and Marco the host with the most. In a 3 week jaunt around France and Italy this was our favourite.

Review 102：Massively overpriced I believe we had one of their best rooms available yet were treated as if they were doing us a favour by letting us stay there. Extremely rude waiting staff. One told me to put my rubbish in the little bin that was provided on the table (we didn't even realise that was what it was) rather than leaving our used butter wrapers and jam pots on a side plate. The Germans, however, were given no such instruction and left their wrappers as they pleased. We had to pay for WiFi. We were attending a weedding and approximately 50 people had booked accomadation in the Malcesine area and ours was the most expensive and came with the lowest, bedroom aside, standard of service and facilities. My son and daughter in law came to the hotel with my grandaughter and they were all but ordered off the premises and my wife was told that guests, even just to our room were not permitted. Awful value for money.
