Review 1：Definitely not 4 star. No bellman, weak Internet, coffe kettle provided but no tea or coffee, glassware appears to have come from various yard sales nothing matched. No A/C. VERY NOISY. No toiletries provided. This is a 3 star at best.

Review 6：The amazing view from our room. The hotel was very pleasant, nice swimming pool, love the iron & ironing board out side the room, there is one on each floor. So you don't have to worrie about your cloth creasing in your case.

Review 9：Hotel was beautiful!!! We stayed here for a friends wedding in the castle!! Hotel is well located as its on the lake as small 10 minute walk to the centre!! Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help us with our stay! Breakfast was also lovely with either fresh omelettes or crepes being made for you! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and hopefully will return in the future!

Review 17：Hotel occupies a beautiful location with a wonderful view of the lake and old Malcesine. Quiet with no road traffic noise and a short, easy - and very pretty - walk to the town centre. Room was clean, bed was firm and comfy, shower was powerful. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with plenty of choice. The made to order egg and bacon was delicious.

Review 20：This hotel advertises itself as having A/C but it wasn't working, when we complained we were told that the A/C would only be switched on at the end of the month. The room was stuffy when we closed the balcony door at night, being on the 3rd floor, heat rises and with an outside temp of 17 we were uncomfortable. our week finished on the 20th of the month and on the last night for some strange reason they decided to switch on the a/c. However we had no contol over the temperature as the control in the room had been overriden by the hotel so that guests cant turn it on or off. the same evening the a light on the balcony suddenly appeared, up until then we had to sit in the dark but once again no control over wether it was on or off. My only other gripe was that the evening meal seemed to be a fixed 4 course, cheap enough, but as we only eat a single course, we did not eat there. all in all not cheap, but perhaps you were paying for the position

Review 22：This hotel is great however be warned they tell you the air con is temporarily broken. Reading more reviews on our return I've come to the conclusion they won't turn on the air conditioning until absolutely necessary. We were there at the beginning of May and the temperature gauge in the room was 26 degrees in the evening. Too hot to sleep, we couldn't keep the balcony door open over night as the staff suggested, as we were on the ground floor and anyone could of have access. I'm really disappointed by this as the hotel is nice otherwise.

Jug and twocups in room but no tea bags coffee milk or teaspoons. Shower very smallbut bathroom ok. Staff only moderately helpful. We asked for recommendedrestaurants and got a glib useless response. If we had at least beenadvised there were restaurants on the water right nearby the hotel wemay have gone there. We weren't advised of anywhere to go to eatthat at least could have given us some guidance. We had to leave earlyin the morning before kitchen opened to get our plane and no offer ofany food or departure package or anything was forthcoming. No refundeven as we couldn't and didn't have breakfast. Other hotels havepreviously offered and provided something to go with they prepared thenight before when kitchen open. It's those small details that a goodfour star hotel would provide. Our room was lifeless and staying theremore than one night would have been horrendous it looked out at the poolfull of noisy kids. No one on desk all night so if you leave earlybeware dont leave anything in your room it's gone forever. If youbook here clearly stipulate you want a water view other wise goelsewhere.

The complimentary bottle of wine when we left was much appreciated but alas, hand luggage only meant that we couldn't accept :( Buffet breakfast was adequate with special pancakes cooked to order on the second morning. Owner helpful to lend me a foreign adapter as mine had broken. Wi-fi was strong and free and there was a guest lap top in reception should you wish to use it.
