Reviews for Al Lunario
Review 1:In a silent corner of the road , there is a B&B. We had booked 2 dobb. rooms and the one on top was far the best. We stayed only one night and was OK about the place. The owner was very helpfull and kind.
Review 2:There was nothing I didn't like.
Review 3:I loved the decoration of the room, which was truly spledid. Also, the colours were beautiful as were the stylish curtains and various items of the furniture. The hostess was very friendly and served a great breakfast. We'll definitely come again.
Review 4:Beautifully appointed large room Quiet Excellently located Very helpful and pleasant owner
Review 5:Unfortunately, some vital services listed as fully available were not - WiFi signal was very weak, and on the second night disappeared completely around 23:00, right when I needed to write back home, after a day or sightseeing and a dinner. Using the old trick, I climbed the stairs to the owner's apartment door with my Android phone, and sure enough, WiFi was perfect there. Also, on arrival the proprietor informs you that hot water is available only 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the evening. You choose the hours. But still I wish that would be mentioned on the hotel page as it is an inconvenience. The worst for me was the street noise in the morning - the placidly looking street becomes busy with morning deliveries, and the idle motor running right under your window at 7:00 am wakes up for good. I specifically inquired the proprietor months in advance if a room was quiet, and she assured me it was. But it turned out not to be. I expressed disappointment with all these and asked for a discount. She gave me 10% back. However, if I knew of all these discomforts, I would rather stay at the next door Somaschi Hotel or somewhere in Le Langhe where there are plenty of quaint hotels. My impression was that the proprietor was inexperienced and unaware of the basic needs of a solo international traveler, far from home. These hidden penny-pinching was rather annoying, as it cuts into your comforts; the proprietor should give a realistic description of her services. This was an addition to other misrepresented B&Bs in my trip, and after this experience I canceled all remaining B&Bs and rebooked myself in hotels to avoid all this haggling and hassle with greedy proprietors. A disappointment.
Review 6:I stayed two nights in early September in the room on the first floor facing the road. The building is pleasant, inside beautifully decorated. The room is similar - very big, with high ceiling, nicely decorated in an old style which I like. There was a minibar/little fridge and a coffemaker. The bed was large and comfortable, with embroidered linen. The bathroom was very clean and shining, with many towels and a bath robe. At first, I liked everything much. The bearkfast was adequate. Parking was free right in front of the building, which was good for luggage load/unload. The proprietor was extremely polite and courteous. I wish the services were on that level. The town Cherasco is very pleasant, the B&B is convenient to visit Regione delle Langhe with its splendid castles and vinyards.

Review 8:The proximity to the old city of Cherasco was great. The building washistoric and made us feel part of this historic village.
