Reviews for Villaggio Costa Alta
Review 1:Room felt like we had been sent to prison. Not enough beds in room even though booked for four.
Review 2:Amazing view out back over gorge. Pool quite nice and bar cheap. Close to sorrento
Review 3:The rooms were tiny and dark with barely enough space to turn around. There were bed bugs and ants, after a nap everyone had huge red bumps from being bitten all over. There were loud music at night which made it hard to sleep. There was also a mandatory fee almost 30 euros extra for the pool and van which we didn't use and wasn't included in booking.com costs.
Review 4:The location was wonderful overlooking the sea and cliff.
Review 5:You need take the train or car to go to Sorrento. There is a shuttle departing from very near to the property but only at 8:30 and 9:30.
Review 6:The place is lovely, with much greenery and swimming pool. The veranda outside the chalet makes the stay there very pleasant and the view is splendid.
Review 7:The staff especially the young guy was very nice and helpful. Rooms are nice with all facilities. There are shuttle bus to the port and main city directly in front of the hostel
Review 8:The village was located in a fantastic position for exploring southern Italy, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. We hired a car and there is secure private parking onsite. It took us just 30 minutes to drive to the ruins of Pompeii, 10 minutes to Sorrento, and 20 minutes to Positano, a beautiful town on the Amalfi coast. Staff were friendly and attentive, the accommodation was clean and we had the most beautiful view from our terrace out across to the Bay of Naples. There is a stunning 25 metre swimming pool onsite, perfect for morning swims. The town itself, Piano di Sorrento, is quiet but has plenty of local facilities such as a deli, grocery store and butchers shop. And the train station is just 10 minutes walk from the accommodation where trains can be caught every 30 minutes to Naples or Sorrento, and a one-way ticket costs just 1 Euro 50 cents.
Review 9:Location location location ! The view from our room was FANTASTIC! I want to live there for ever. Staff were brilliant. Swimming pool was free, weather fantastic. The park is close to the two beaches, and supermarket, restaurants etc and short walk to the centre of town. The rooms we had were average, but the seating outside the door made up for it with a fantastic view and nice quiet ambiance with just the sound of birds and rustling of lizards through the grass. Very pleasant place to stay - sorry we didnt book a longer stay. Will definitely be returning
Review 10:You have to wear stupid clear trash bags on your head when you swim in the pool. Idiots. The owner (old man / boss) was the worse to help any emergency situation.
Review 11:Near the train to pompeii and herculaneum and napoli. Front desk lady was nice and helpful.
Review 12:The staff could have been more helpful with timing and options of transportation to nearby attractions like Capri and Positano. We loved looking at the pool which was mostly what we did since it was only open from 9:00-19:00, hours when we were out visiting other sights. There is no reason a place that highly advertises their pool should close it so early in the evening. It's also important to note that this is not in the town of Sorrento and there are few restaurant options in Piano di Sorrento. Getting to Sorrento requires a 15 minute walk to the train station then two stops on the train.
Review 13:They did have free parking for our rental car.
Review 14:Distance to train station is a long walk! More signage would be a help.
Review 15:Swimming pool - with visiting seagulls!- nice restaurant and reasonable selection. Lovely garden at the entrance.
Review 16:Na
Review 17:Good size accommodation.Pleasant surroundings
Review 18:Nothing!

Review 22:Pool was ok albeit it v cold
Review 23:Not a lot really was very very basic and not clean with ants in the rooms!
Review 24:Our chalet had a garden with lovely view of a gorge, ruined house and the sea.
Review 25:A little bit far from Sorrento city center. 35 minutes walk in a street without pedestrian route! Dangerous.
Review 26:Very Nice Atmosphere Beautiful Cottages
Review 27:No facilties to pay by card
Review 28:The pool, garden and tjat we had an old olivetree growing up in a hole st our terrace
Review 29:The air conditioning does not work at all. The wifi must be paid for. You need to go to the pool with a swimming cap
Review 30:No sun beds at pool, only deckchairs. Self catering but equipment lacking.
Review 31:Relaxing, good views
Review 32:The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The site had lovely gardens and location. Would stay agai but maybe in a bigger chalet.
Review 33:Services very good , the personal very very nice ! Just book and visit ! Fam Holmstedt
Review 34:Everything. Breakfast was a bread bun with peach jam. Hundreds of very noisy students, no attractions nearby in the evening, pool was empty and waiters were more interested in being popular with the students.
Review 35:Nothing really as the website description was very misleading.
Review 36:The place has very cute cottages through a maze of gardens. It's very quiet and relaxing. We made ourselves a nice pasta and sat on our patio and enjoyed a great evening. The family that runs it is very nice and helpful. The man is pretty much fluent in German and also English.
Review 37:Beds were very uncomfortable with springs sticking into you. Sheets must have been washed in starch and were so scratchy. Customer service was terrible, we arrived after 2pm but had to wait around an hour and a half to check in because the chalet wasn't ready. The noise was terrible. For the whole trip they put us, a young couple without children at the end if a row that was continually filled with very noisy and always German school groups. Don't go here thinking you can relax sat outside with a glass of wine at night. Instead you'll be listening to incredibly loud teens as they ruin your relaxation.
Review 38:Piano itself is a great town, not far from Sorrento but I loved Piano for its quieter, more laid back and less touristy nature. The pool was great but you can't use it without swimming caps which is just plain odd.
Review 39:- noisy neighbours (mostly Italians) - but you can expect that - mattresses were very uncomfortable (but were replaced right away after reporting to the reception) - remember to bing your own swimming cap to the swimming pool (or they will charge you 3Euros for one of their own) - we saw one rat jumping on the cabin roof
Review 40:- swimming pool is very nice - very good location (close to the shops and train station) - not in the city centre but close - also not far from the beach - very helpfull personel - air condition - private, closed, monitored and free parking - very nice place in overall
Review 41:We had quite noisy neighbours, but I guess this is the risk you takewhen you choose to spend a couple of days in a trailer. The poolrequired to buy swimming caps for 3 Euro each and refused to let us swimwithout the caps although the day before there were plenty of peopleswimming without the caps..
Review 42:Location is very nice - near Sorrento center, which is a couple of trainstops away or 5 minute ride by car (also Amalfi coast). Boats fromSorrento go to Capri very often. We lived in a trailer - they are shadedby trees so it does not get too hot during the day.
Review 43:The acoustics in the park were poor and sound from the other chalets travelled too easily. The walk into town was hazardous as the streets are narrow with hardly any paths and the drivers are unpredictable.
Review 44:The swimming pool was lovely and the wonderful weather. The holiday park was maintained with pride. It was a good base for travelling around the area by bus and train.
Review 45:I chose the location baring in mind I would have a car... but parking in Italy is a nightmare and increases costs.
Review 46:So quiet, dedicatedly taken care, lovely flowers and smells all around... cliff onto the sea for spectacular sunsets If you want to avoid noise, crowds and get some relax its a fantastic place.
Review 47:No kettle in the room but I learnt my lesson from last time &took my own.
Review 48:The staff are very friendly & go out of their way to help you. Thechalets / bungalows are comfortable & have aircon / heating. The bungalow I was in this time looked onto the garden & had a goodseaview from the patio. Location wise, it is perfect for the independenttraveller. The rail station is 5 minutes walk & the harbour 10 mins. There is a supermarket close by.It is well worth sampling the traditional Italian food in the restaurant.
Review 49:Nice place, helpfull staff, very good pool
Review 50:Located far from the train station and the rooms are tiny.
Review 51:Great pool, nice stuff, cheap. Really enjoyed there.
Review 52:pictures show bungalow superior cat.that s no good!
Review 53:clean and inexpensive for location like that
Review 54:It was great location and great views
