Reviews for Ca' Gemma
Review 1:everything, i like the room with wood ceiling and floor, its tidiness and spotless clean. the owners are very warm and friendly We stayed for just one day to visit Treviso, a very small but cute city. the location in my opinion is also convenient to visit venice, not in city center so very quiet and no traffic. plus free Parking is available on site. If you like country side and would like to have time for relax, this is your place
Review 2:N/a
Review 3:Excellent room en suite, very high spec. Lovely, friendly, helpful family. Great breakfast and secure car parking. Close to frequent bus into town
Review 4:The owners were very nice and helpful., nothing was too much trouble even to the point of running us into town, showing the best bars and even booked us into a restaurant. Fantastic Hosts.
Review 5:It was located quite a distance out of the town this was not made clear on the information provided. We didn't have a car and the bus service whilst efficient and cheap was only once an hour
Review 6:The family who run this hotel are friendly and extremely helpful The hotel was located in beautiful grounds and furnished to a high standard.
Review 7:The ceiling height in our room sloped and even though we were careful we hit our heads a couple of times.
Review 8:Great country atmosphere, very peaceful and quiet, nicely furnished. Everyday the room was cleaned and we had fresh towels. It was easy to get to once we worked out the bus timetable.
Review 9:Very clean, felt as cozy as home and comfortable. Large and spacious bathroom. Owners and staff we're very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect.
Review 10:The only area for improvement is a very, very weak Wi-Fi signal, which additionally to its weakness comes and goes.
Review 11:Charming, restored guest house, wich spacious, clean rooms and free car park in front of the building. The hosts serve nice breakfast with Italian coffee of a choice.
Review 12:A bit tricky to find on a slightly out of date GPS. And a bit out of town but a very charming location nonetheless.
Review 13:Superbly finished property. Quality rooms with oak flooring. The most comfortable bed ever.
Review 14:The guest across from our room, talked and shouted on his phone in the hall outside our room, probably to get better reception to late in the night disrupting everybidy
Review 15:The location, the room size, he value and the friendliness of the owners , especially Mauro's mother and father
Review 16:I liked everything!
Review 17:Very nicely kept property - clean and modern. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Location is quiet, but close to city center. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money.
Review 18:The location was too far from Treviso downtown (not walking distance).
Review 19:For the dog, we got an apartment with a large balcony. The apartment was also really well furnished and had a modern and stylish look. The hosts were friendly and helpful.
Review 20:Very friendly and welcoming family, amazing facilities. We stayed in a room with our own bathroom and were very impressed. It is by far the cleanest room I have ever stayed in, we felt like home as it was a very relaxing place and considered about staying extra nights just because it was so great. Stayed there when visited Venice along with Treviso and if you have a car (which we did) it is a great choice. We will be visiting again soon!!!
Review 21:I know it is my fault for not reading the small print, but when we arrived 45 minutes after check-in closed (1800), our room had been re-alocated and the room we got was not the one I had booked and paid for. In all other hotels we have stayed at, if there is a deadline for booking in it was reflected in an e-mail from the hotel prior to the stay.
Review 22:Once we got over the scolding for checking in late, the atmosphere was friendly and helpful.
Review 23:Loved the overall feel of the villa, and everything was very clean and updated. They were also very very affordable, and one of the nicer places I have stayed at as well
Review 24:This was the most incredible place to stay with the most hospitable staff! The property was quaint and absolutely beautiful. The owners were so accommodating and welcoming. I would stay here time and time again!
Review 25:Wooden floor and so a lot of noice by the neighbours on the upper floor.
Review 26:Warm welcome by the hosts. Very good tips to visit Venice. Very good recommandations on local restaurants in Treviso
Review 27:There was nothing I didn't like, it was a little bit our from city maybe but there was a very good bus service which went exactly on time every time and it was also easy to get a taxi.
Review 28:We both liked everything about our stay, beautiful accommodation, would definitely highly recommend.
Review 29:Could do with a kettle/coffee/tea making facilities in the room
Review 30:It saved us about £300 on venice central prices for the hotel plus we saved around £150 pp on cheaper Ryan air flights. The £500 total saving went towards our bar bill on the cruise. Easy & cheap travel to the port, too. Just allow yourself time. Beautiful, clean, secure, modern b&b in its own grounds & v friendly owners. Definitely coming again next year & bringing more friends. Superb.
Review 31:Our hosts were warm, engaging and very patient with our attempts to converse in their language. Their renovated family home was beautifully done and gave us the experience of staying in an (updated) Italian villa.
Review 32:There were no air conditioning units directly in the bedroom. It did have large windows to open, or you could keep your door open if traveling with other family members. There was a a/c unit in the hall.
Review 33:Friendly, helpful, updated accommodations.
Review 34:Poor wi-fi, kept loosing signal but, it is typical for the area and no reflection on the accommodation. Also typical for over here, no tea/ coffee making facilities, shame really.
Review 35:All new accommodation since 2013 and feels it. Lovely comfortable bed, posh, modern fittings.
Review 36:Lovely house , beautifully designed, the room is very clean and well maintained, large bathroom and very clean , free WI-FI, free parking, the owner is very nice and helpful , also the staff ,closed to Venice, closed to bus station, good breakfast. Better standards than many 4*hotels. Thank you !
Review 37:Wifi connectivity could be better.
Review 38:The owner and staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms are beautifully designed and well maintained. A good place for couples and families who want peace and quiet, also groups of friends looking to spend much of their hotel time together. Easy access to the highway to Venice, Udine, Belluno and Milan; in short an ideal base camp for people with cars.
Review 39:- The room was dark - Last bus to reach the house is round 8pm otherwise one will have to get a taxi about €18 one way. - Poor wifi in the evenings
Review 40:- Breakfast room is nicely designed - Free parking facility - Very quiet location - Helpful staff - Bus station nearby - Easy to reach airport
Review 41:A wonderful room where you can rest away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The architectural design impressed us and the location is very convenient.Bus N7 from the train station get off at the terminal.Great!!!! hosts and breakfast!!!
Review 42:You are sharing a floor so having to go down the hall to the bathroom can be a bit embarrassing. Book the room with the en suite bathroom -- it's much nicer at the same price. The family running the place is very pleasant, but they don't speak much English at all (or Spanish, or French), so don't expect many travel tips!
Review 43:The house and grounds are lovely.
Review 44:Lovely comfortable rooms, large beautiful bathrooms. Wonderful breakfast. The owner was very helpful and kind. A very uncaring guest had left a dog in the room next to us, then drove away, leaving the dog to bark, the owner immediately took care of the situation. We highly recommend staying here. Excellent value.
Review 45:wi-fi a bit unreliable, difficult to find: there are many "Cal di Breda" streets nearby and in some maps the street's called "Strada Cal di Breda" instead of "Via Cal di Breda" so we had to check many street before we could finally find it
Review 46:Everything excellent: the house, the surroundings, the room, etc. Helpful staff who also provided us with some useful advice and maps without asking them.
Review 47:Nothing
Review 48:Beautiful property, very tastefully decorated and in a lovely place. Lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. The hosts were lovely people, wish we could have stayed longer and explored the area more. Very convenient for Treviso airport.
Review 49:This is a really special B&B - lovely serene location with a great view, comfortable room with beams and ambiance, friendly hosts, and fantastic breakfast served in a beautiful setting overlooking their beautiful property. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Review 50:Should have checked the train times earlier- got to the station (thanks to my trusted TomTom) got parked at the station then walked to the main entrance to find we had just missed the train and the next was not for 2 hours. Plan B - took the car which was no problem actually.
Review 51:So close to Treviso which is a beatiful place to visit and wander round. Lovely sights to see and restrauants all within walking distance. Train links to Venice.
Review 52:Nothing.
Review 53:We were made so welcome during our stay, at this beautifully styled and furnished B&B. Our host and his family could not of been helpful. A little out of town but well served with public transport and great for the airport. We hope to stay there again and explore more of the area.
Review 54:The window"s outer shutters could not be opened due to the screen placement
Review 55:Short drive from Marco Polo airport. Great spot for 1st night in Italy and heading north the next day.Friendly hosts were helpful and patient. We spoke little Italian and they little English. Spotless and modern amenities but still charming. Comfy bed. Quiet yet easy access to A27.
Review 56:Although they are extremely friendly, the staff/owners don't speak english, so communication with foreigners is a bit hard.
Review 57:Beautiful room, close to airport/Treviso (f you're by car). Friendly staff.
Review 58:I have got the only room with the bathroom not included, but next to the door there was one just for my room. Breakfast, although good, could be improved, but this is not criticizable at all.
Review 59:If you want to find a place where to relax and sleeping deeply, Ca' Gemma is the right place. The location is close to huge park for good and relaxing walks. Management is kind and ready to support you. The rooms are wide and well renovated. The price is also good, considering people are looking short prices with the best quality possible.
Review 60:For the short time we were there I can't complain about anything
Review 61:Everything was good. Clean and very comfortable bed. Very friendly dog. Was there only a short time.
Review 62:Nothing to fault.
Review 63:A stylish modern residence in the quiet outskirts of Treviso, easily accessible by car or the No 7 bus. The host are very helpful and have a great knowledge of the area. With the great breakfast you will be set-up for the day ahead. Incredible value!
Review 64:HOUSE: As you enter the property, you pass an ornated luxuruous cast-iron gate. The house looks big and has several nice arches. Our first impression: top! ROOM: Our bed- and bathroom was spatious, and - most importantly - very clean. The common spaces are absolutely gorgeous! You immediately realize that the owner family has put all its energy and love to create a pleasant and cozy place. BREAKFAST: Coffee, croissants with several sorts of fillings, cheese, ham, yoghurt with all sorts of flavours, cereals and fresh fruits! - We got everything to start the day with a big smile. ATMOSPHERE: We felt absolutely warmly welcomed! The owner, without being pushy, is doing everything to make your stay special. The atmosphere is family-like, warm-hearted. We love this place and will surely return!
Review 65:Excellent service, to the extent we were even given a lift into Treviso and taken on a guided tour around the city. The accommodation was very good with spacious rooms, clean and tidy, comfortable bed, far better standard than most hotels. We will highly recommend this place!
Review 66:This is one of the best places I stayed in while I was in Italy. Such a lovely place with a lovely family who give the place a fab personal touch. Would definitely recommend it.
Review 67:The family who run the bed and breakfast were lovely and very considerate - travelling on bike, they were helpful with providing me with a safe place to store my bike as well as kindly allowing me to make dinner in their kitchen. The next day, they minded my things whilst I went down the street to use the laundrette which was very nice. All in all it was a good experience and suited my needs perfectly.
Review 68:Great and beautiful place to stay if you have a car. The place is 5 km away from the centre of Treviso. Mauro is a great host and all his recommendations on places to eat and things to do around were excellent.
Review 69:Our room in the upper level did bit have AC. Not much of a deal since the weather was nice.
Review 70:The staff is really nice and welcoming; they did everything they could to accommodate us in the best manner. The house is brand new or recently renovated with very good taste. Feels like family; feels like home!
Review 71:It was clean , nice looking place. Owners showed us around city of Treviso.
