Review 1：very non courteous staff at the front office specially the duty manager called Durgesh... Durgesh was very rude and was not at all accomodative or flexible in any regards... i dont think ill ever go to rio or recommend it to any one ever...

Review 3：This is at best a 4 star not a 5 star hotel. Location -not that near beach or town. Staff stand around behind reception table talking rather than attending to clients.Lacks attention to fine detail from cleaning dust off door frames etc. Internet has to be renewed every 90 minutes-real pain.

Review 5：They ripped us off with a hidden cost for the Gala Dinner on NYE ($150/person), although it was for Indian Families and Children, I did not want to attend the event, neither my friends. I had other arrangements to party with travelers from all over the world in Goa. House keeping, you need to tell them you need MORE than 1 Toilet Paper roll. Had to ask for tissues even after the room was cleaned and noticing its empty. Very slow in everything in general.

Review 6：Bad service. Bad staff. Our bathroom had no exhaust and it had its drainage connected to other rooms so it was always stinky. On continues request for changing our room or fixing the problem there was still no response.

Review 8：The room wasnt as it looked in the picture. The "comfort" room outside needs refurbed. Our friends who shared a double room in the main building paid less and had a much superior room.

Review 17：Key card issues. We had to get a new key card everytime we stepped out. Flushing issues. Had to call housekeeping multiple times. We got 2 rooms 3 hours after we arrived. However they were hesitant to give us late checkout for even 1 hour. No compensation by the hotel. Experience was poor because we paid a lot of money and did not get good service.

Review 19：Horrible housekeeping. House keeping staff had to be nudged 2 to 3 times to get the work done. If you ever ask for more than 1 thing at a time, you never get them all together. Basic facilities like toiletries and things which are listed on the website that come with the room were not available and were provided after asking multiple times. This was the case every single day of our 5 day stay.

Review 24：This was my third visit to this resort. The overall ambience and courtesy of the staff makes you come back again and again. The breakfast is just awesome. Swimming pool is clean and large. They have also come up with a new phase which has excellent architecture. Durgesh , the relationship manager is an awesome guy !!

Review 25：My wife got really sick and there was no medical assistance and only paid taxi to take to nearest hospital. Definitely don't deserve to be 5 star hotel.

Review 35：Our booking for two double rooms was mishandled from the day one. Hotel should have been more open in telling us that the rooms were situated at different location than the main hotel. Not only that, the rooms that were offered to us were not ready for occupancy when we moved in, and we had to request hotel to change rooms to the main hotel. Swimming pool closed too early, by 8 PM, and if you are visiting other locations during the day, just cannot find time to have a relaxing swim in the evening. There is potential for adding more food options and variety, specially by the poolside. Property is highly priced and can hardly justify five star rating, since it is off the course, facilities are not up to international standards, and too far away from good beaches in Goa.

Review 41：The resort is amazing, great facilities and very nice; friendly staff. The location is good, very close to Baga beach. The food options are great as well as the room itself. Plenty of drinks options around.

Review 42：Check - in was awful. At midnight (after working all day before travelling for several hours) the front of house could not find our booking made that day for 3 rooms. They reluctantly allowed us to stay for the 2 nights we booked after a 45 minute discussion - just what you need after an hour in a taxi from the airport. We were repeatedly hounded by guest relations & the assistant manager from the moment we woke up on Saturday morning as they couldn't work out what rate to charge. The assistant manager was so rude and ought to be fired as he had no grasp of how to speak to a paying guest & demanded we remained on the premises until we resolved their missing booking problem - despite having a security deposit & our belongings onsite. An apology was received for their booking error when finally resolved & an empty gesture of 50% discount on an extended stay knowing we had return flights booked.

Said it was a 'security issue' ?? - Quality of bath gel, soap etc was poor. Needs improvement. - Shower water and tub water temperature did not get warmer beyond a point. Disappointing. - Overall, I think to pay INR 9000 per night for such a property is way too much. It is worth around 6-7K at best.

Review 50：Service was excellent and nothing was too much. We often stayed up and the cafe accommodated are drinks without difficulty. One of our group had an accident and The staff helped & got us to A&E without hesitation. The hotel was clean and the rooms big, the pool bar made amazing cocktails. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Review 56：Had been in resort Rio from 28 th to 30 th November! Fantastic place. Fantastic rooms. Excellent service. Nice breakfast! Only the location from the main road is a cause of concern. Returning late night from clubs was bit frightening as the resort in half kilometer from the main road, and the road leading to the resort has a deserted look. But over all 10 on 10 for resort Rio.

Review 57：Was looking for a quiet and relaxing few days away but didn't find it here. I know most hotels/resorts host functions however in function rooms. Rio doesnt have them so functions take over the lobby and pool area and are very intrusive to other guests. I had the displeasure of a wedding event which took over the place. The guys working in the pool area constantly taking down and setting up was annoying. The entertainment at the pòol was so loud i had a hard time watching TV in the room much less the kids being able to sleep. Was happy to come home! The drive to the beach was 10 not 5 minutes and was not walkable as hoped.

Review 60：Front desk staff needs some training though - they first gave us a room with hotel varandah view!! (Courtesy: person who checked us in at front desk - manoj I guess) and that too when I had paid for deluxe room - had to fight to get the room with some view - the 2nd person at the reception was courteous enough to show around and was able to sell us the upgrade for a nominal price. Not sure if that's how they do it with everybody to sell upgrade. Suggestion: ask to show the room before swiping your card - else you will be in trouble when your wife slides open the balcony doors! A retarded (lobby only) wifi and lack of biz center was surprise. Spa was overpriced.

Review 61：Beautiful hotel - clean and well organised. Breakfast is kingsize here - great options and restaurant staff is very courteous and well managed. Pool and lobby is well maintained.

Review 62：We were not told that the cost we booked the Hotel in doesn't include Taxes. So when we reached they quoted us amount of Rs-4000/- extra as taxes. After few arguments we agreed to pay it but asked if we can have a pool view room for which the reception staff denied and didnt co-operate in any way. Also the Food menu, the Spa and other in hotel services are very expensive for the quality we get. You can get really cheap services (of same sort) at 1/3 the price. So for the Reception Staff i would give 1/5 Stars and for the In hotel services i would give 3/5 Stars.
