Review 1：I had a room with the vent of a restaurant air conditioning unit outside the window. This was really loud, but at first I didn't notice as I had just got off the plane. At 10pm it stopped and was mercifully silent. Then, at 5am it started up again like an aeroplane engine! Horrible.

Review 2：There was nothing particular that we did not like. The room service was good but can be improved in respect of quicker response.

Review 6：The reception staff were incompetent and argumentative, particularly the woman who was extremely arrogant and is a detriment to this hotel. Our stay was spoilt due to this reception woman. There were also continuous attempts to charge us extra. The shower recess did not drain properly. TV remote didn't work. No hotel information in the room. No proper map of the city available. Rooms were dimmly lit and smelt musty. The restaurant also smelt of mould.

Review 8：We had many issues which made our stay at Hotel Trivandrum totally horrible: 1. Very less toiletries provided. 2. Beds provided in room are totally dis comfortable. Beds as well as mattresses remained rolling throughout night making every apprehension of being fallen down on floor and couldn't sleep well. 3.Very poor service in the restaurant.We remained waited for half hour or more for just 2-3 roties and by the time roties were served,dishes became cold. We didn't liked the way, the restaurant is being managed although food quality was good. 4.Very dirty curtains provided in rooms.

Review 9：The hotel has a long history of existence at a prime location near Govt. Secretariat. 1.food quality was Good. 2.One Receptionist named Sreejith was a nice boy who always greeted us with good smile and helped us every time.

Review 19：I like all the classy feel and look of the place. The drapes, for example, in our room were something I looked a great deal at. The front desk staff, also, were warm and inviting after a bumpy start.

Review 20：No tea/ coffee making facilities in room. On this visit I was in room 202 which was on the second floor, there are no lifts. I was only advised of Wi-Fi password for reception area. At a later visit, I found out other networks were available throughout hotel. This may be due to poor English speaking reception staff.

Review 21：Mainly the location. 350 INR from Trivandrum airport (prepaid at airport kiosk). Air con good. In room 202 - very quiet away from road. Near auto rickshaw / taxi rank. Reasonable, but not the best, currency exchange rates. Restaurant provides good Indian food but English breakfast is available - cornflakes / toast with butter/jam and fried eggs.

Review 102：Some (only a few though) staffs are not well-trained. The preparation for breakfast was quite late (not ready even past 7:30). There was one occasion when I missed an important meeting, when the staff failed to call me in my room that a visitor had come, by falsly saing that I was out (at least they should have checked my key). My room had no window, so those who choose the lowest price option should be careful. Its brilliant location can sometimes become an disadvantage in this area. I had to switch the hotel when a siege by the opposition party against the state government occured, involving thousands of people and stopping almost all the surrounding traffic and shops.

Review 103：Not a posh luxury hotel, but I could feel its long history and status through the interiors and the staffs, who seemed to take great pride in their work. Especially nice was the reception, room-cleaning and the manager of the restaurant. The restaurant provides good food, and it was bustling not only with the guests but with local people. Being located right next to the Kerala state government secretariat, it has great access to many parts of the city.
