Review 1：Booked room with a balcony and upon arrival was told we could only have the standard room. Not good with a small baby.

Review 5：That it was mainly full of local Sicilians! That makes this place special. Castellamare del golfo is just 15 minutes away and is a real tourist trap and if you are into that you can always make a trip there. But do stay here at Alcomo Marina where the Hotel La Batiggia is located. Lovely staff, very helpful and the restaurant is superb! Lovely beach!!
Review 6：Wifi didn't work for 5 days than fixed and had a good reception in the last 2 days. Bathroom is little worn out. Walls are rather thin and evenings can be noisy depends on the event in or around.
Review 7：The location is superb, right on the beach (with private beach). Rooms/beds are comfortable and clean, yet simple. Nice dinner with and excellent view. Everything is clean and neat. Rooms with a sea-view is a real joy. Sea is wonderful with miles of sandy beach.

Review 34：The service, food and location good - but the hotel it self – the worst 4*star we ever experienced! This is robbery with regard to the price we have paid for the rooms!!! The hotel is very shabby, with small rooms poorly furnished and not very clean. The location of the hotel was on the beach, which is only plus or *star. But beside that the location of the hotel was in the middle of nowhere. Who have given this hotel a 4*stars status!!! It is not acceptable to give this hotel high status only because of the beach location. It is to cheat people!!!
Review 35：Private functions in the restaurant were very noisy and went on til early in the morning. Very hard to sleep with all the noise and commotion. Also the outdoor smoking area right below our room so the ocean breeze blew the smoke into our room constantly .

Review 40：The location of the hotel directly on the beautiful coastal line is really unique. Try to get a room with seaview and from the balcony you will be overwhelmed by the pristine beauty. The staff are very helpful and the receptionists are excellent . Special mention should be made for Mariangela who should be considered for the post of responsible minister of tourism for Sicily !!

Review 47：The restaurant food was mediocre. Ordering a small fresh fish, I certainly didn't expect the fish on a plate (with lemon) would cost me 25 euros. All in all, the restaurant was the weakest of the many experienced during our two weeks in Sicily. Missed breakfast, so no comment, except that the early morning espresso was fantastic.
Review 48：The location is great in relation to Palermo airport; an easy half hour drive. The room was ample and the balconies were large with superb open sea views. The hotel is right on the beach, and the latter is clean and expansive. The reception was efficient and in fact, the only hotel staff to start our transaction with a "welcome" greeting (ten previous locations on the island).
Review 49：Breakfast was basic and items were not replenished once gone- I.e hardbolied eggs (not provided every day) when these were finished we weretold there were no more. Fruit juice was instant and not fresh, coffeewas from a vending machine. Ham was good but generally breakfast itemswere poor quality and very limited choice. Breakfast room needsbrighting up, waiter service at other meal times was slow and thewaiters were not very customer orientated. There was free WiFi butsignal was poor and often not existent. Sky tv was not available asadvertised, when we enquired we were told that the hotel was currentlychanging providers.

Review 55：I did not like the quality of the toiletries in the bathroom. The towelsin the bathroom looked a little old. I thought a introduction bookletwith the resturant menu, info about the local area, the tv channellistings etc would have been helpful inside the bedroom.

The food in theresturant was superb.The best meal we had our entire holiday. Thelocation of the hotel was stunning, right on the beach, just 10 minutesdrive to alcamo centre for shopping. The parking was directly outsidethe hotel, very easy. The mini bar was stocked, a rarity on our trip.The Sky tv worked in the bedroom.
