Reviews for Auberge Shulamit

Review 1:Access for handicapped persons will be a problem due to the stairs leading to the entrance.

Review 2:On a hillside in the old town of Rosh Pina, in the North of Israël this hotel looks out over the Hula valley and the Golan hills. It has existed for a long time. On 9 October 1952 peace talks between Israël and Syria were held in this hotel. The hotel is now owned by Mois and Mimi, two very friendly and open people from Greek Orthodox descent. We had room 2 which has a really marvellous view across the valley. We were surprised by the pleasant reception and the excellent kitchen. The restaurant is has a varied menu, excellent wines and good service. Breakfast is a treat. The room is comfortable, has a good bed, ample storage, a good bathroom and a very nice balcony. The hotel was very clean, really spotless and the room was cleaned the bed made up every morning. Wifi was excellent and didn't require logging in. Rosh Pina is an interesting historic settlement with many boutiques and galleries. It is conveniently located for visiting the north of Israël and the Golan. We will certainly come back here when visiting the north of the country.

Review 3:A friend and I stayed here so we could be closer to sites in northern Israel and the Golan for a couple of days. We found a beautiful gem -- a spacious room, updated bath, welcoming and helpful owners and staff, and of course fabulous food! It's true that there are a lot of steps leading from the parking area to the hotel, and then upward to guest rooms, and some of them are pretty steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but the view is so worth it. How lovely it is to have breakfast in the glass-enclosed dining area and look out over the amazing landscape of Upper Galilee -- I would stay here again in a heart-beat.

Review 4:This a real boutique hotel with awesome customer service. On booking I was a bit concern due to reviews which mentions noise, but was happy to find that it wasn't an issue at all ,we even went to sleep with balcony door open. Highly recommended.

Review 5:We had two rooms. One for family of 4.One for grandma and grandpa. Both were lovely. Hosts were delightful. Breakfast was amazing. We will stay there again!

Review 6:The friendliness of the staff, the food, the view from our room over the Golan, the location in a quaint village from the early 1900s. We had one evening meal in addition to the daily amazing breakfast, having four appetizers instead of main courses, and the food was outstanding.

Review 7:I was ok with going up a lot of stairs to my room but it could be a problem for some people.

Review 8:I liked the facility, breakfast, view, cleanliness, the owner and location.

Review 9:The shower didn't work so well. The water dispersed in many directions (creating a huge puddle on the floor) but did not make its may onto me. There are many steps to climb, which may not be easy for some people, especially with a suitcase.

Review 10:The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The view is beautiful. The ambience is nice.

Review 11:We enjoyed a super large room with excellent bed & fine continental bath. Breakfast was lovely - traditional Israeli with a generous selection of salads and spreads and a selection of egg dishes cooked to order. The Auberge's dinner service includes delicious soups, house smoked meats and fresh local fish dishes. Don't miss the lamb rib chops.

Review 12:The number of steps to get from the driveway to our room, well over 50, was quite a lot. In our early 60's, we were able to handle it fine, especially since an inn worker magically transported our luggage to our room. The only real downside was that breakfast did not begin until 8:00 or later, and menu service in lieu of a buffet also slowed us down in getting an early start for touring, which is critical with the early sunsets and closings of late December (22-23 for us).

Review 13:The room was beautifully furnished and appointed, creating a most romantic setting. It was also quite spacious and very comfortable, from the bed, the bath and more. The dining setting was also quite lovely, with beautiful views, and romantic. The food was also very good. And since this was the site of the Israel-Syria armistices of 1948-49, and afterwards, the historical richness of this site added to the magic of being there.

Review 14:Very well maintained property; spacious room; great attention to detail; accommodating and warm staff; terrific location; family friendly (kids under 2 stay free, cribs provided!)

Review 15:Exceptional food - a culinary delight - both Dinner and breakfast Beautiful view. Room #2 spacious very comfortable firm bed and soft pillows. Large balcony and vast view

Review 16:A very homey little hotel with a great view across the Jordan Valley and towards the Golan Heights. Beautiful room with nice bathroom and use of the hot tub outside on the porch. Superb breakfast in the stylish restaurant. It's only a 10 min drive from beautiful town of Rosh Pinna to the Sea of Galilae. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting this area.

Review 17:We stayed at Auberge Shulamit for one night, 2 days before our wedding at Amuka. It was really great! The staff, and Moiz in particular was really helpful and kind, the delicious breakfast in the balcony was a great kick off for the day and the room was nice and comfortable with a great jacuzzi. I'm originally from the near by city of Safed, but the stay there make me feel like i'm in Tuscany.

Review 18:We went to Ramat a Golam, when we returned, 4pm room was not made , bathroom not clean. We went to the reception and asked what happened , the owner said the knocked 3 times and no one answered. Of course we weren't there. It was 4 o'clock and the owner said that unfortunately the cleaning people were gone !!!!

Review 41:Everything about the hotel is first class, from the way we were greeted (a cool beverage) to the fine dining in their gourmet restaurant. You pay a little more, but it is worth it. The breakfast was the best we've had in a long time. Great location to get away and explore the region.

Review 42:We had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at The Auberge Shulamit just last week and hope to return. The property is situated on a high hill offering picturesque views of the Hula Valley and is a short walk to the jam of village - Rosh Pina. The rooms are clean and comfortable with modern amenities. You are made to feel welcome by the gracious owner Mwais, who was very helpful and kind. The breakfast included with the room is absolutely wonderful, plentiful and prepared freshly for each guest. Served at a nice covered patio buy a pleasant accommodating staff; Anna was great. As if all this wasn't enough, the inn has one of the best restaurants we had the pleasure of eating. It is 10 out of 10 on all levels.

Review 43:There were so many steps that we did not bring our luggage up to the room. We did find out that someone would have brought it up for us.

Review 44:The room was lovely. The view from the property was outstanding. We had a small balcony that had a sweeping view. Breakfast was served rather than buffet style. Everyone was friendly.

Review 46:The hotel is near the roas therefore a bit noisy in the morning.

Review 47:The rooms are simple but comfortable and nicely arranged. The facilities in the room are good and comfortable. The staff are all very nice handfull and cooperative!

Review 50:Had trouble finding it but that is our fault, of course.

Review 51:Beautiful old inn, really well taken care of in a historic Israeli vacation. On a hill with good views and clean air. Breakfast included was wonderful.

Review 52:some road noise at night late due to location.

Review 53:I liked the attitude of the staff, the clean period style room, beautiful view, excellent food, parking availability( rare in this city), comfortable large double bed, and mainly the service.

Review 60:The only con, are the mattresses, thin and not as comfortable as I like, but everything else is so terrific, frankly, it just didn't matter.

Review 61:The owner is a delight, making sure everything is taken care of. The food is GREAT! We had our best dinner during our visit to Israel. Everything was fresh and delicious. The bath products are lovely and the robes are a plus. Finally, the views are outstanding. Be sure and enjoy a glass of wine or lemonade as the sun goes down, simply beautiful.
