Reviews for Hotel La Rondinella

Review 1:Traffic noise from the main road when you sit on the balcony or sleep with open windows ( because it was so hot, without aircon). That we got a balcony with side lake view offered at first even when we had reserved a room with balcony with lake view: just because we had our dog with us (because there is not a complete barrier between the balconies that you share on the same floor). Industrial juice and industrial (powder) coffee machine for breakfast.

Review 2:The breakfast/ dining terrace with lake view. We could have breakfast even after breakfast time. Our hospitable balcony neighbours - thanks for the welcome drink guys!

Review 3:not a bad experience but an advice : the shower should have its own soap dispenser; extended Wi-Fi range required

Review 4:panorama view, cleanliness, efficient stuff and food all very good

Review 5:This hotel doesn't pretend to be 5*. It is sensibly priced but it did all of the basics very well. It was bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the one night we ate dinner there it too was very good. And the view from the terrace and our balcony was wonderful.

Review 6:The only downside is that wifi is only available in public areas (I was in one of the furthest rooms, it's possible that in some rooms there's a signal but don't count on it)

Review 7:The views are beautiful. The hotel is a short distance from the town centre perched up above the lake. You can walk to the centre in 5-10 mins, though you need to get down some steps to the lake first. It's not difficult but if you have kids in pushchairs or mobility problems then maybe it's not for you. You can also walk along the main road, it's only a few minutes but VERY busy. The hotel itself is lovely. Staff are helpul and friendly, rooms are comfortable. There's a dining room and terrace for breakfast and evening meal - the menu is good and no more expensive than in the town. Well worth eating here even if you're not sleeping here. If you're coming by public transport from Verbania, there's a bus stop (request only) right outside the hotel. If you miss it you have only a short walk back from the town.

Review 8:Hotel was situated on busy road with no pavements, above village. There were buses and footpath to village on other side of road, but some guests might find this a challenge. Guests with cars might also find the steep drive off the road a little difficult.

Review 9:Traditional villa, converted into hotel without disturbing character of the building. The owner/manager Stefano was simply lovely, helpful, friendly and cooperative when some hoteliers would have been difficult Views were lovely from rooms and terrace Ideal for youngish, active people

Review 10:Nothing really - it was everything we hoped for and more.

Review 11:We stayed in the cheaper rooms - in a stunning old building. For us it was perfect and very memorable and unique place to stay. Our room had huge windows with stunning views over the lake and old murals on the walls and ceiling. The more expensive modern rooms looked really comfortable, but for us the quirky nature was a lot more memorable and enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and breakfast fantastic.

Review 12:- Very steep parking might pose a problem for those lest accustomed to hill maneuvers

Review 13:- Proximity to beach and lake - Hotel Staff - Restaurant - Cleaning Staff quick and did a great job

Review 14:Expensive Poor breakfast

Review 15:Beautiful view

Review 16:Poor wifi only.

Review 17:Location, great lake view, family atmosphere, very good breakfast, free parking. Great value for money.

Review 18:Too many steps!

Review 19:Very attentive staff and excellent food!

Review 20:Charmig hotel with exelent view over the lake. Beautiful high ceilings and friendly staff.

Review 21:The location is great, staff very nice and good breakfast on the terrace (or dinning room) with a wonderful panoramic view upon the whole lake and mountains. It is also a family runned restaurant there. Nice Menu.

Review 22:Great views. Easy parking. We had booked rooms with balcony and views and that is exactly what we got. Breath taking and we couldn't stop smiling as we were shown the rooms. Clean and comfortable. Good restaurant with the same view over the lake. True what others said about the walk in to town. For the able bodied is a nice walk along the front after steep climb down but would be a problem for the less able. Staff were great. Left my iPhone behind and cleaner handed it in. Had to drive back 2 hours to get it but there it was. I was ever so popular. :-)

Review 23:No air conditioning difficult car parking very difficult walk to town either along the busy main road with no footpath or down some very steep and difficult steps

Review 24:views of lake were wonderful breakfast good clean and tidy

Review 25:Hotel photos on website do not give true impression of the annexe where we stayed. Balconies are joined and very public.

Review 26:Wonderful views of the lake / breakfast outside on the terrace / after a tricky crossing of the road there's a lovely path down to the lake and walk into town.

Review 27:What a wonderful hotel! We had a fantastic view from our hotel, we had a balcony, superb food and friendly helpful staff. What more could you want? We shall be back.

Review 28:Beautiful landscape around and fantastoc view at Lago Moggiore from the balcony. Very quiet and idyllic place. Friendly and helpful personnel. Fairly good continental breakfast.

Review 29:If you want a room with the view on Lago Maggiore, be warned that thereis very busy road just above the lake and 20 meters below windows. Itwas not a problem for us, but it might be for you if you are verysensitive to the noise. The hotel is ~1 km away from the city center. If you want to get there by foot, you first have to walk on the car road without a pavement - not a pleasant experience, and it might even be dangerous.

Review 30:The hotel seems to be a family business, and the family running it seemsto live on the ground floor of the main building, with hotels roomslocated above. We had a very nice room with a balcony and a wonderfulview on Lago Maggiore. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The person from the staff we were interacting with was very friendly and helpful, he spoke Italian, German and English (and we did not try other languages). There is a bus stop just in front of the Hotel.

Review 31:Short walk along road with no pavement to reach the town.

Review 32:Beatiful historic building, great views, friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

Review 33:The initial greeting was a bit off hand. The food was mediocre. Thin bedroom walls.

Review 34:The situation overlooking Lake Maggiore was lovely.
