Reviews for Bellevue San Lorenzo
Review 1:The wifi in our room didn't work which was disappointing. And, although this was to be expected, the outdoor pool was not heated making it unusable in October.
Review 2:The woman who worked the desk the night we checked in and the morning we checked out was very nice and helpful. The room was also very nice and comfortable and our views of the mountains and Lake Garda were gorgeous in the morning.
Review 3:Outstanding view of Lake Garda. Restaurant is comfortable, excellent food and service. Art installations on green rolling lawns to wander around. Relaxing and close to the water.
Review 4:No bad experience but felt the evening meal menus could do with a little modernising.
Review 5:Beautiful hotel in a prime location on Lake Garda. Lovely room with fabulous lake views. Excellent pool facilities - plenty of space. Very helpful staff.
Review 6:The restaurant and bar staff were very unfriendly and service was slow. However reception staff were better, and the staff member who worked at the pool was superb. No room service and mini bar only stocked with water. The steps down to the promenade is a bit of a chore especially on the return trip.
Review 7:The room was lovely, very comfortable large room with a great view. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, the pool area and service at the pool was superb.
Review 8:traffic noise, traffic jams every day, Germans and their towels at the pool, empty minibar (only water), no table and no sofa in junior suite, only one shampoo for a week
Review 9:nice and wonderful view, kindness, beautiful premises
Review 10:The daily lack of enough deck chairs in the garden for all guests was disappointing (the garden is big enough to cater for these) as the best part of this hotel is the fact that it has great private gardens with magnificent lake views and a swimming pool - perfect for relaxation... if you can find a deck chair.
Review 11:The airconditioned room. The lake view. The eternity pool. Excellent staff.
Review 12:Asked about high temperature in room and whether the A/C could be checked. Could not get lower than 24. Reception staff and owner continued to explain that the system worked and we should wait for temperature to drop. It did not, and was not solved. Otherwise a fantastic place.
Review 13:The room was very hot as the aircon was regulated and not on for long enough to cool it down for the night. It was 39 degrees when we were there and the aircon could only be set to 6 degrees below the outside temperature so it was very hard to sleep in the stuffy room.
Review 14:The location was fantastic and the pool gorgeous. The girls on Reception were so helpful and very nice, and there was a good choice of food at breakfast. The view from our room was unbeatable too!
Review 15:A walk to town centre down steep steps or along the road
Review 16:The location of the hotel provides the most stunning of views whether it is awakening in the morning or last thing at night or from the infinity pool
Review 17:We didn't like having to leave.
Review 18:From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the lovely send off on departure this was the perfect break. Set in a beautiful location this fabulous hotel offered all we needed for a perfect break. The room was spacious with a terrace overlooking the lake and across to Malcesine. Breakfast was ample with plenty of choice. We had booked seven nights B&B but after sampling dinner a couple of times switched to half board and weren't disappointed. The staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely want their guests to enjoy their stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean, even the grounds are attended daily; the attention to detail is evident everywhere. Thank-you so much for one of our best holidays ever.
Review 19:Eggs and bacon in the morning were not hot enough
Review 20:Breathtaking lake view from our terrace!! Fantastic room, excellently cleaned each day with fresh towels provide. Very friendly helpful staff from all levels. Wonderful surroundings with the latke one side and the mountains behind. Fantastic five course dinner and no pressure to book a table so relaxed to leave until lasted in the day to choose if reservation required. Relaxed beyond belief and being a maturer couple, it was nice that there were no children there. It was a wonderful hotel but not small children friendly as too many places they could easily hurt themselves . Brilliant! Fabulous! Wonderful!
Review 21:I had looked forward to a spa treatment but they only had a very limited range of specialist treatments. I would have liked a facial and massage
Review 22:Beautiful location, stylish & elegant hotel
Review 23:Parking is a bit of a squeeze but we always had a place to park.no room service for food but it was not required. Tea / coffee making facilities not available in rooms but mini bar was well full with bottled water only.
Review 24:Warm and welcoming staff. Extremely helpfull and friendly receptionists Valentine and Lara, who were able to arrange bookings for day trips to an olive grove and a very memorable day at villa calicantus vineyard and exclusive wine tasting.they were able to organise a beautiful birthday cake and afternoon tea for my husband and family at short notice.we had wonderful views of lake Garda and the town of malicesine from our balcony .overlooking immaculate gardens and pool.waiters and barstaff were well presented friendly and very abliging. Lovely patio area to relax and either have capacinos in the morning or afternoon/evening drinks cocktails . The bar/patio area was the place where most guest gathered to relax in the evening .Breakfasts were served from 7 till 10. Excellent continental buffet choice . Evening restaurant served a beautiful local cuisine food .the hotel was well situated for a 20 minute stroll along the lake shore to malcsine to many other choice restaurants and gelaterias where you could sit and watch life go by as the custom is in many meditarean countries. As a parting gift the manager of the hotel gave us a Calendar and brouchure of the hotel and melcesine .he wished us well and a safe journey home . All in all a magical place. Multo beni.
Review 25:The first room we were given was too small for the price we were paying, so we asked to change. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a second room that was much larger and with a terrace.
Review 26:Excellent view, spacious and well kept grounds, friendly and helpful staff, high-quality cuisine. Ideally located - 20 to 25 minute walk to Malcesine (note: busy road to cross and with 90 or so uneven steps - take a torch if coming back after dark)
Review 27:Beautiful hotel with a fantastic view of lake Garda. Staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke good English and made us feel very welcome. Pool was lovely and refreshing and spa facilities were very pleasant.
Review 28:Absolutely nothing.
Review 29:Wonderful, friendly, smiling staff with a quick, efficient solution to any request. We had a newly furbished junior suite which was spacious, stylish and extremely comfortable with a superb view over the lake. The food was excellent and the gardens beautiful. Loved the lakeside walk into town.
Review 30:Better use could have been made of the junior suite we had ie a seating area, to distinguish itself from a standard bedroom. Although the mattress and pillows was very comfortable, the bedding arrangement could have been more so. The positives far outweigh any slight gripes and we would fully recommend this hotel.
Review 31:Beautiful setting which was made the most of by the hotel grounds and facilities. The staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Very quiet and peaceful. Fantastic food!!!
Review 32:Evening meal food a bit posh for us No prices anywhere for the bar so you don't know what bill you're racking up!
Review 33:Lovely views of the lake and mountains Nice grounds around the hotel Very friendly and helpful staff Fantastic breskfast
Review 34:Perfect location, with a 25 minute gentle stroll into town along the lake path. We got down to the lake via the 100 steps which were just across the road from the hotel. They were ok going down but a little harder coming back up , but our legs got used to it after a couple of days. You just have to be very careful crossing the road. We found the hotel staff very helpful and very professional and the place was immaculate. Breakfast was as expected and the evening meals were lovely although some nights we choose to eat at the restaurant at the bottom of the steps which was also good and value for money. Overall a fantastic hotel with no negatives
Review 35:The Breakfast was just Ok, I thought that there was a limited amount of choice. Good Fruit Juice.
Review 36:Good Room in the Red House with an amazing view of the Lake and fantastic terrace/balcony area. Staff were very helpful and good drinks choices at the bar which stayed open until a reasonable hour. We would definitely stay here again.
Review 37:No air conditioning working in our room most of the stay despite several visits by maintenance. Owner said the unit on the wall to operate it was 'too complicated' Seemed easy to me, but just was not switched on until the last day when temperature approached 30c. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, I know rare in Italy but this is a 4 star hotel at 220eu a night. No mini bar drinks except water. Waiting staff in morning (breakfast) would not allow us to sit outside early as they do not lay the tables on the terrace till 9:30. I said we didn't mind not being laid up just show us where the cutlery is, but they insisted we ate inside. Breakfast a little disappointing for a 4 star hotel in the area, stayed at others in Malcesine and they had more selection. Also they ran out of many things if you came down after 10am (breakfast is served till 10:30)
Review 38:Great Views, attentive staff and a really nice pool and wellness area.
Review 39:The first room we were allocated no. 313 was shocking, I have stayed in better motels. Supposed lake view was interrupted by a construction site and there were people on sun beds right outside the window. The 99 steps to be negotiated to get to lakeside walk.
Review 40:The views The young staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly.
Review 41:Wi-Fi was terrible at times.
Review 42:Location was amazing and staff were very efficient. Beautiful gardens.
Review 43:Very good hotel in a prime location....our bedroom had the most fantastic terrace with views over the lake
Review 44:Slow wifi
Review 45:Staff was very friendly, great breakfast, clean rooms. Beautiful decorated hotel, ver stylish.
Review 46:weak WiFI
Review 47:The feeling of being in paradize
Review 48:The excellent service, friendly staff, delicious food and the views over Lake Garda and the mountains from the beautiful gardens and infinity pool
Review 49:We went in July and it was a bit expensive
Review 50:The view from the pool We were lucky to have a room with 2 balconies
Review 51:Poor lunchtime choice
Review 52:The setting of the hotel and views
Review 53:Very little
Review 54:The most amazing hotel that we have ever stayed at. A bit pricey, but we will certainly be back.
Review 55:We had to leave.
Review 56:Everything!! The pool, the excellent breakfast, the stunning views, the helpful staff. Everything was perfect
Review 57:Lovely location with wonderful views. Pool was lovely. Staff very efficient and friendly
Review 58:Everything
Review 59:Amazing hotel, amazing people, view, stuff everything was perfect Thank you
Review 60:Nothing, all superb.
Review 61:The rooms, the staff, the views.
Review 62:The walkway steps down to the promenade on the lake are a little tough and not well maintained - imagine this is not managed by the hotel as it's a public walkway but I think most guests would use this would be great to get
Review 63:Adored our stay ! Such a beautiful hotel - amazing location, great value and delicious food in the evenings! Staff were super also. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!!
Review 64:Reserving a superior room with balcony and lake view and being given a ground floor, no balcony, garden corner back view because we are told regular return guests get priority and want their specific room. It's nice unless you are not a regular guests. Not extra friendly and it's more an hotel for over 50s from what I saw.
Review 65:It's a beautiful hotel, goegeous settings but not recommended during pick times or holidays. In fairness we checked out earlier due to no possible way to change room ( see negative part of review) but we got charged only the rate of the none view room I suppose and not the rate we were suppose to which is fair considering we didn't get room superior with view. They were fair I give them that but that's the only positive.
Review 66:Location and views are superb. The hotel is beautiful. Staff very friendly and professional. Always helpful and the barman Massimo made superb cocktails. Would certainly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.
Review 67:The room was very small and dated. No tea and coffee making facilities. No room service or anywhere one could buy snacks or anything to eat unless it was when the restaurant was open.
Review 68:The views and location were superb. Within walking distance of lots of shops ,bars and restaurants . The staff were very friendly and they seemed to all take a pride in what they did. The pool was an infinity pool and the grounds and sun bed equipment were all maintained to a High standard
Review 69:OK for us, but for some the 100+ steps down to the lakeside promenade could be difficult and this is the only way to walk into Malcesine
Review 70:We loved the position, with a beautiful view over the lake. Friendly atmosphere. Excellent food. Set in gardens. Ideal for a relaxing break.
Review 71:The walk down to Malcesine was unexpected and in bad weather neither the road route nor the steps down to lake Garda were very safe! A regular shuttle down to Malcesine would be very beneficial for those who do not drive on holiday!
Review 72:The gardens were absolutely stunning and the balcony view was a real treat! We were treated very well, even once we had checked out- in fact that is the sign of a very good hotel!
Review 73:My only slight reservation was over a gentleman, who I think was the hotel owner. He was often at reception and he was not as friendly as I would expect and therefore there was always a relief when one of the other staff members was there.
Review 74:Hotel Bellevue San Lorenzo is a beatutiful hotel in a breathtaking location. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was nearly always sunbeds available & apart from a few days guests did not researve sunbeds and not occupy them. The hotel sent out a memo asking guests not to reserve sunbeds.
Review 75:Having to pay an extra 7 euros each to use the Spa facilities!
Review 76:Views were amazing! Design and style of the hotel buildings, interiordecoration was good. Facilities were good and gardens/ pool etc werebeautiful. Breakfast- there was a good selection, although eggs andbacon were limited in terms of availability. Hotel staff were veryhelpful and attentive. This should definitely be on anyone's list if thinking of staying in Lake Garda (North)!
Review 77:Would have expected that for a 4* hotel it would of had tea makingfacilities in the bedroom.
Review 78:Lovely quiet location but still within walking distance of the town.Excellent views from all areas of the hotel with a nice relaxedatmosphere.
