Reviews for Hotel Continental

Review 1:The weather in November is awful

Review 2:The Location is ideal for the airport ( a cheap bus ride away), the railway station (across the road) and the local shops and town centre (a short stroll)

Review 3:Noisy, outside and inside. No facial tissues. Bar was closed at odd times--Saturday night?? Overall, not as comfortable as other same star hotels we stayed in on this trip. Nice staff.

Review 4:Location for walking and shopping is good. Close to station too. Adequate storage for a small room.

Review 5:A slight problem when I arrived, necessitating me to change the room. But it was dealt with efficiently and promptly.

Review 6:Superior comfort at a reasonable price. Great breakfast.

Review 7:Bathroom only had a handshower and no attachment to the wall so you could stand under it' The bedside lights weren't anything like light enough for reading overpriced for a 4star hotel We had better facilities in our 2 star hotel in Trieste

Review 8:Location, nice entrance hall, pleasant bar and breakfast room

Review 9:Fantastic location for exploring Treviso, a great start to our day with a full breakfast, and friendly helpful service at the front desk. It was a great way to end our 23 day holiday in Northern Italy.

Review 10:nothing to really complain about

Review 11:This hotel is right across from the main train station in Treviso, and makes for an excellent overnight stop while traveling in Italy.

Review 12:The staff were very friendly and accommodating, answered any questions we had and kept or bags in storage, breakfast was lovely and good location for treviso train station

Review 13:We arrived quite late (11.30pm) and very tired. The man on reception was very welcoming, helpful and efficient - just what we needed. The bar was still open so we were able to relax for a while after our journey before we went to bed. The room was simply furnished but large and clean and very comfortable. The next morning we strolled around Treviso before collecting our bags and heading to the train station just a couple of minutes walk away

Review 14:No coffee maker in room!

Review 15:Excellent location if u are traveling on the train or bus. Lovely city! And easy to explore Venice With short train ride! Staff were wonderful! Old world cjharm

Review 16:The breakfast has no varieties but it was not bad or low quality ..

Review 17:Excellent location near the train and bus stations , walking distance to the center The staff is helpful Room and bathroom are clean Wifi is good now , i had no problems with the connection during my stay

Review 18:Breakfast, while adequate, could be improved, given the high standards observed elsewhere in this property.

Review 19:Lovely spacious comfortable room. Very close to transport links (bus & train). Clean, comfortable bed, fridge, jacuzzi bath, late check out on request.

Review 20:This is the second time that I have been to this hotel and will go again if I happen to visit Treviso again which I hope to do sometime, so there is not much that I do not like. If I am compelled to mention something that I did not like I would merely mention that there was a mosquito or two at night but nothing serious that could not be resolved by getting a mosquito repellant in the rooms.

Review 21:Excellent location. Helpful and friendly staff. Very clean. Decent breakfast.

Review 22:The train station is across the street. Traveling to Venice is just three train stops away - about 30 minutes. The train ride was only €3,60 each way. It was perfect!

Review 23:The hotel is ok but nothing great, no shampoo in the bathroom, not even when you ask the reception. A bit strange for a 4 star hotel ...

Review 24:Good location close to the train station and the city center. Perfect stay if you want to visit Venice as well (30 mins train).

Review 25:There is nothing not to like at the Continental in Treviso.

Review 26:Excellent location, close walk to old city, shops and restaurants. Wonderful and plentiful breakfast. Clean room, good wifi connection. Most friendly and helpful staff. Classic Italian decor, beautiful bar.

Review 27:Feel less safe than hotels in the old town, room was bit old, AC is will smell(didn't clean for long time), and WIFI is very unstable.

Review 28:It is near the train station, fair basic room stuff, friendly reception.

Review 29:Price for a night

Review 30:Great location, 19 minutes to Venice on train. Right near the train station. If I was visiting Venice I'd stay here. Great breakfast

Review 31:Breakfast: good quality but buffet was not replenished enough, I have never experienced this type of rationing before. WiFi was a complete disaster, extremely slow to connect and it kept crashing every few minutes. The air-conditioning in the room was ineffective and the room never cooled enough to be comfortable. I would not stay here again.

Review 32:Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Quiet room. Close to station. Nice decor in foyer and dining room.

Review 33:The location is excellent - near the train station and also very close to the airport bus stop. Treviso itself is a lovely Italian town and from here it is very easy to travel by train to Venice, Padua, Vicenza and so on.

Review 34:In room wifi had weak signal in most of the room requiring me to stand by the door to access BBC Radio 4, vital when I travel! (Counsel of perfection).

Review 35:Location close to City centry but no ZTL problems; helpful staff; easy parking; adequate breakfast

Review 36:the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us and make our stay pleasant. The location was perfect for us: a short walk from the train station and also very close to everything in the center of town. We would gladly stay here again.

Review 37:Wifi..... from our floor didn't work much but who cares..... you go on holiday to see places not to browse the internet .

Review 38:Hotel continental is well situated near train station and its central. Few walking distance to bus stop, restaurants and centre. Our room was on the 5 th floor and was very big in fact we had 3 big windows ( even in the bathroom ) modern room and good ac service. Staff helpful and nice and rich breakfast. I recommend much this hotel.

Review 39:Staff at front desk not welcoming. We had booked a twin room. Had to show my confirmation as were to be given a double room. Even when we passed thdesk staff they never said hello or ask if you had a nice day.

Review 40:The hotel was lovely. We had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was comfortable.

Review 41:Sometimes wifi did not work in the room, room too small, shower not isolated, the attitude of one of the receptionists.

Review 42:Ideal placement, breakfast, kindness of one of the recetionists

Review 43:A good quality hotel for a reasonable price, very near the rail and bus stations, and handy for exploring Treviso itself. Would have no problem booking this hotel again or recommending it to anyone flying into Treviso Airport

Review 44:No hot food for breakfast. Older décor, needs renovation.

Review 45:Nice room, good location near the train station and 50m away from the main bus terminus (well hidden in buildings), few minutes walk from the city centre. Helpful staff, especially the lady waiting in the breakfast room who immediately ordered cappuccinos for us remembering our request from the previous day.

Review 46:No complaints.

Review 47:Reliable understated service; modernised without losing good older features (eg quality furniture). Usefully close to Treviso FS station for access to and from places in Veneto. .

Review 48:Price is too expensive. They dont do anything to gain that money. Terrible breakfast , bad wifi at your floor. You feel he really doesnt like you someone from the reception.

Review 49:It was close to train station and city center.

Review 50:Absolutely nothing

Review 51:We asked for an upstairs room with a view, & although they considered the view not great, they gave us a room which to us was charming. roof tops & a view of a small canal. Good breakfast, great choice, & served with a smile. Close to station & the town.

Review 52:Nothing

Review 53:Big room size and comfortable. Very good location - 2 minutes from the main train station and10 min from the city center. Good Wifi, good breakfast.

Review 54:Nothing much. For the price I paid, it's a good service I got.

Review 55:It's right near the Treviso train station. Not hard to find area. The room is small, but clean and great air conditioning. Bathroom is clean as well. Breakfast is decent. WiFi is great!

Review 56:The weekend we booked their was a music festival outside our bedroom window which been a music lover usually I don't have a problem but the Friday night of our arrival the music was deafening , when we asked the staff at reception about the noise there was a shrug of the shoulders , it's not our problem was the reply . i know its a city centre hotel as I've stayed before but I think we should have been made aware and it did go on all weekend finishing Sunday night then there was a matter of it all been taken apart until the early hours of Monday morning which was more disrupting than the actuall music , people shouting and throwing scaffolding about

Review 57:Location of hotel very good

Review 58:Wi-fi only available in reception.

Review 59:The location is ideally placed for the train and bus stations. The breakfast was plentiful and varied from cereal to fresh fruit, ham and lots more besides.

Review 60:The WiFi was not working on our floor and when it came time to check out the EFTPOS wasn't working and I had to run to the bank, withdraw money and pay in cash.

Review 61:There was a bath!!

Review 62:No AC working, staff was ok, there was a bar but may have been there for show as no one was willing to help us get some drinks.

Review 63:Room Size, location to train station, close to a lot of places to eat. Across the street from bus station. Very clean hotel on inside

Review 64:We stayed in a double room with a jacuzzi tub. The room and bathroom were very spacious, staff were friendly and helped us get a taxi and provided great information to us, the breakfast was pretty good - nice selection of the usual fare. The decor was beautiful early 20th century.

Review 65:Air conditioning was a must for a good night's sleep. They are in the process of upgrading, but haven't reached the 5th floor rooms yet. Street noise is too loud for us to have the window open. We were lucky there was one alternative room left.

Review 66:Despite arriving at 23:00 (from the airport), English-speaking staff gave us a very friendly greeting. Our room on the 5th floor lacked air-conditioning, but staff were able to move us to a twin-bed room lower down. Treviso's old town is a short walk from the hotel, as is the station. It's a good choice for those flying to/from Treviso Airport who fancy spending a few hours in an Italian city that isn't Venice.

Review 67:I don't like two single beds pushed together of different heights to make a double bed.

Review 68:Great breakfast, pleasant staff, Excellent location opposite railway station for rail traveller.

Review 69:Tired and old decor, dehumidifier in the room connected to a piece of hardwood in the window frame and another piece of hardwood in the other window which restricted a view of the outside which happened to be a car park!! Customer service could be a lot better from the receptionists;they need to learn how to smile when greeting you and not say "I suppose so" when asking if we could stay a few hours(30 euros for 4 hours) extra before our flight home.Disappointed and wont stay here again!!

Review 70:Location of the hotel;breakfast was ok.

Review 71:Very convenient location near train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Old style but charming and characterful. Very clean and good free wifi

Review 72:Travelled with my friend and were given a twin room as requested.Room quite large and nice bathroom with bath and shower. The next day we had a leak in the bathroom which we reported. They were unable to fix this, and so moved us to another room which was inferior in every way.Very small, a large air conditioning unit which seemed to dominate the room.Very small bathroom with only a shower, the head of which was dirty. My friend pulled her bedside table forward to plug in her phone only to find a large area of plaster off the wall. We were very disappointed with this second room.

Review 73:Very near the station and staff all helpful

Review 74:The breakfast was not 4-star hotel quality. Some days there was no fruit, which is poor. Friends were on higher floors and had trouble with wifi connections - sometimes had to come down to the reception to get a connection.

Review 75:Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. I was on first floor and wifi worked very well. Room was very comfortable - although I wish they'd update their hairdryers.

Review 76:Nothing to complain about.

Review 77:A five minute walk to the station and just around the corner from the historical centre of Treviso. Excellent breakfast spread and most helpful staff.

Review 78:I will be glad when they finish the building works on the highest floors as this does cause lots of dust on the stairways but the staff are always most apologetic. I can't really find fault with this lovely grand old hotel in a beautiful historic town.

Review 79:I like the fact that the staff remember me as I go back each year (usually in the Spring). I love the breakfast with delicious croissants, toasting machine is available (the old fashioned type) and lovely cold hams and cheeses. They always give me a nice room on an upper level away from any street noise and finally, the location is ideal - near the centre and the station. Love it.

Review 80:A little costly

Review 81:Atmosphere and elegance of hotel. Staff help at reception and at breakfast. Easy access to Treviso and station (eg Venice) Easy access from airport

Review 82:Good positioning and helpful staff make this a good point for exploring Treviso. Great view from bedroom. Train and bus on the doorstep for Venice and surrounds

Review 83:I dont understand why it is 4stars hotel, I think it should be 3stars. The window was not in a good condition so we couldnt open it, the water from bath tap was going down so so so slowly because i think the drain was obstructed and it was really uncomfortable. The breakfast was dissapointed. 4stars hotel breakfast, dissapointed with serving and not really much of foods to eat. The closing time was 11am but they started clearing up from 20mins before closing time and couldn't eat more then 5mins before closing what a surprise telling us to eat quickly. I would rather go another 4stars hotel then here.

Review 84:I vbooked a single room and found teh bed was up against a wall making it feel very claustophobic. The mattress was hard. A flashing light from the air conditioner bothered me at night. There were no black out curtains so one either had to have shut shutters and no fresh air or open ones and too much light.

Review 85:I liked the location sicne I could go on foot from teh train station. It would be a great base to explore othr towns in the region. It is also near a number of bus stops that made going round Treviso easy- I used this since I had a inflammation. But it would be handy for elderly visitors. It is also very close to the historical centre on foot and just by the river. My room was very clean and very quiet. The breakfast was good adn it was served from 7-11 which would accommodate all patterns fo sleep. The staff arranged for a taxi to the airport.

Review 86:WiFi was slow.

Review 87:Great location near the train station and historic city center. Helpful staff Ample breakfast. Attractive room and lobby/bar area.

Review 88:Availability of breakfast 7am-11am brilliant didn't have to rush very relaxing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Although a little dated it was very clean and little touches in bathroom were welcome eg: slippers toothbrushes and paste, razor.

Review 89:Location - 2mins from Railway Station and 15/20mins from town center. Free WIFI - very important in this day and age. Room - good size and comfortable room with heating/cooling, safe and window that opens. Staff - always helpful and caring.

Review 90:My room was in the roof space - very nicely furnished but no window. About 1am in the morning there was some noise from the plumbing - annoying whistling sound. I could also smell some cigarette smoke. I do not know whether this was due to the shared roof space i.e arriving from another room or a residue.

Review 91:Central location and nicely fursished rooms.

Review 92:this is a 4 star hotel for the year 1970. Old funiture , terrible bathroom (sink was at the level of the knees , everithing was dated). Heat did not work in the room

Review 93:Good Breakfast, Friendly personal

Review 94:Hand held shower with no curtain. Bathroom dated.

Review 95:Receptionist/staff very helpful. Great Breakfast. Great location. Bar area set out well with an excellent barman.

Review 96:The bed, hard as a rock. And breakfast was a little boring.

Review 97:I liked everything with the exception of the breakfast (a little boring) and the bed, hard as a rock. The staff was really nice and the room was cute.

Review 98:Everything about this hotel is just right, location, comfort, staff. That is why I've been coming back year on year for longer than I care to remember. and fully intend to keep doing so....

Review 99:Only thing i could complain about is that rooms were noisy as hotel hotel echoed, you could hear doors and people talking coming in late.. But other than that it was lovely hotel.

Review 100:In the centre close to everything..next to bus station and train station too..used the hotel shuttle taxi brilliant service saved time looking for taxi at airport... Lovely breakfast each morning

Review 101:the sometimes questionable attitude of barman.

Review 102:the comfort of the room.the excellent choice of breakfast.reasonable bar prices.high standard of reception staff.

Review 103:Ideal location near the train station and historic town centre. Beautiful 'ambiente' and interior renovation in original 40's style. Rooms are traditionally funished, comfortable bed and clean rooms/bathrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. I would choose this hotel again, if staying in Treviso.

Review 104:Hotel deserve maximum 3 stars. Furniture is really used. Clothes cabinett really smelly. Room and bathroom are really small, was even not possible to open bathroom door 90°. No storage possibilities for bathroom accesories in the bathroom, only one small shelf big enough for comb, toothbrush and toothpaste. No equipment in room, no plating iron, shoeshine kit or something else. For minibar and bathroom only cheap single use plastic cups. Moskitos in room due to missing moskito nets on the windows. Stayed there 11 nights, and even with booking on company credit card they asked for payment of half the invoice after 5 days. Poorest breakfast i ever saw in an italian hotel.

Review 105:ONLY the location

Review 106:Internet connection seems to be not existing..thats only minus

Review 107:We travelled from venice to catch the flight with ryanair departing from Treviso airport - hotel located right next to train station, close to all pubs and restaurants in small town, staff helpfull and friendly, great bathroom btw:) all around happy out

Review 108:Pillows....

Review 109:Location was excellent,Treviso nice little town some good restaurants and shops Bar staff nice, breakfast good, staff in the morning excellent .

Review 110:Bedrooms with floral wallpaper and heavy wooden furniture remind me of the room granny died in decades ago. WiFi but dead slow. Mosquitoes! Bath not shower! Plumbing noise from adjacent bathroom.

Review 111:Reasonable location on outskirts of town centre, but only 5 minutes' walk to everything. Scrupulously clean.

Review 112:Five minutes walk from train station and from airport bus stop. Very close to Treviso town centre. Great hotel for an overnight stay, especially if you have an early morning flight.

Review 113:Breakfast could be a bit more varied (eg eggs should be definitely part of it) since it seems not to be equivalent to a 4-starred hotel, eco fiendly behavior (1. no potential to recycle within the room through a separate indicated bin, 2. no chance to state whether the used towels shall be re-used or not to save cleaning them if so judged by the tenant staying more than one consequtive nights in the same room).

Review 114:Location (<5m walking to historical center), next to bus station (<50m) and train station (walking distance), free WiFi, fair basic breakfast*, spacy elevator to carry luggage. In general, a perfect hotel to discover Treviso (and even Venice, since it is quite close and more affordable to stay there!).

Review 115:Would have liked tea/coffee facility in bedroom. Would have liked a roof terrace/garden for a chance to regroup before going out again. But really, these are only minor quibbles.

Review 116:All staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Cannot say anything bad about the service. Hotel has character - not bland minimalist hotel rooms - a bit more atmospheric and homely. Location is exceptional for airport, train, bus and city center..

Review 117:The rooms looked a bit dated and the beds a bit small.

Review 118:Good location, on the edge of the old town and near the train station. Staff was great and very friendly. Good breakfast selection.

Review 119:Location, cleanliness, friendly & helpful staff, breakfast. As I said to the personnel I already regret it of not staying long in Treviso! City has enough to offer!

Review 120:There was no cooked options for breakfast

Review 121:We arrived late at night by train and were delighted to have just a 2minute walk to our hotel! The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the centre of treviso and an excellant location to travel to Venice.

Review 122:Stayed on 2 different nights to be close to the airport at the beginning and end of our holiday to Venice. First room was fine but on second stay we were given a dormitory style room on 5th floor which we suspect was little used as it was a dark, musty room, full of pigeon droppings on window ledge and we were bitten by mosquitoes during the night.

Review 123:Location

Review 124:The bed was a bit too hard!

Review 125:The location so near the station was extremely useful as was the economy for our group of three to get a taxi to the airport. The desk staff were courteous and responsive.

Review 126:Bad internet connection in the room, better access in the lobby. Not so cosy room.

Review 127:Good location. Close to the city center and very close to the train station. Breakfast alright (it was close to continental breakfast).

Review 128:Stayed on 2 different nights in 2 very different rooms. First time, had fairly comfortable normal twin room but on second stay we were given a "tired" larger, 3 bed, narrow dormitory style room which we suspect is little used - window ledges laden with pigeon droppings and we were bitten by mosquitoes during the night.

Review 129:Location, general cleanliness and good continental breakfast

Review 130:Wifi connection had lots of breakdowns in my room (though it was working fine in the hall)

Review 131:hotel close to the train station, and close to the city centre; nice room, great breakfast

Review 132:no negatives

Review 133:We arrived in a thunderstorm and the porter was extremely helpful with a brolly and came to help us find a parking place - a great start to our 2 night stay. The breakfast buffet was good, the bed was comfortable and the location close to the train station (for Venice) and the airport bus made this an excellent choice of hotel. We were able to leave our luggage in store after we checked out and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Fine Print

Parking costs vary according to car size.
