Hotel Smari is located in the heart of the Kopavogur business area, a suburb of Reykjavik. Iceland's largest shopping center Smaralind is just 3 minutes away.

Hotel Smari is situated a 45 minute drive from Keflavik International Airport and a 10 minute drive from the center of Reykjavik. The local bus goes there in 15 minutes.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served between 7:30am and 10am and on Sundays the breakfast time is extended to 11am. The hotel bar is open every day until midnight and many restaurants and cafes are located within walking distance.

Review 1：A little farther removed from Reykjavik, and as such, you'll require auto transport to get to the city.

Review 3：When entering the room I first freaked out because the windows can not be opened. However, there are ventilation filters on top of the windows which were adequate during our stay (September). In summer this might be an issue. The breakfast was very good during weekdays but more modest in the weekend.

Review 4：EXCELLENT cleaning of the room. The BEST in Iceland. the ladies see EVERYTHING :-) Spacious room. Close to road with good connections. Walking distance to Smáralind Mall and other shops. Good parking.

Review 8：We took advantage of an Icelandic Air offer to break our journey to the US and used the hotel as a base for exploring the area. The hotel staff offered help and assistance in planning our itinerary and checked that the Geothermal Station was open for visitors during a particularly bad winter storm.

Review 9：The shampoo bottle in the shower was half used and open upon arrival which made me uncertain if the shower had been cleaned properly.

Review 54：When we first arrived, the sheets could not be slept on the first nightbecause the were nothing but bumps although they were clean. We had tosleep on top of the comforter. They did change the sheets for us thenext day. The tv is very old, could get very few channels and they werenot in English. The room was very hot and there was no control over thetemperature. Windows were permanent closed so could not open. The lobbyclosed down so unavailable to relax in.

Review 57：I liked this hotel quite a bit and was surprised by how nice our room was. The location is not in Reykjavik but is very good if you've got a car. It's less than a ten minute drive to central Reykjavik and conveniently located to get to other sights. There is also a good shopping centre five minutes' walk or a two minutes' drive from the hotel. I also read that many people complained about old TVs. In our room, there was a new flat screen TV.
