Reviews for Al Fogher
Review 1:very comfortable hotel/room. The staff had went by with my instructions to provide me with my request for 3 single beds in a double room. The receptionist were very helpfull and I am looking forward to go again in this hotel. Very close to central Treviso and the breakfast was included in the room rate. Excellent full breakfast.
Review 2:friendly staff who really made the stay enjoyable breakfast was very good even opened the bar for us late at night very impressed for what we paid
Review 3:The only problem in the hotel is that the wifi signal is very very poor, in the common areas but even more on the rooms.
Review 4:Really liked this hotel. Staff were very friendly with everything. Breakfast had a big variety of food, and the resultant of the hotel is good if you want to have dinner in. It is close to the center by walk, and there is a bus station in front also, as well as a hyper market. Hotel had bikes for the guests to use to go to the old town, and Treviso is a very beautiful place to have a bike ride.
Review 5:Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Will definitely stay here again! Also very close to airports. 15€ taxi ride and staff called them for us to pick up. Looking forward to staying here again!
Review 6:The staff were very friendly the room was very clean and the breakfast was the best so far of any hotel I stayed in in Italy.Close to bus station close to a good shop on other side of street This hotel I will give a rating of 9 out of ten
Review 7:Stayed for 4 nights as I was in Treviso for a rugby game. Hotel is a little out of the main town but was easy enough to walk or grab a bus. Hotel was clean, room was basic but ideal for what I needed it for. Breakfast was sufficient and a good start to the day.
Review 8:Nothing to not like. Everything was fine for us.
Review 9:Comfortable, clean, and good value.hotel - perfect to rest before travelling on to Venice. Bus stop just outside for easy train journey on. Would use this hotel again.
Review 10:Bathroom Towels need to be renewed. Beds are not the most comfortable. An additional pillow would be good.
Review 11:Free Wifi. Free Bike Hire into Treviso is great. Great access to Highway. Clean and Breakfast is good. Nice Friendly Staff.
Review 12:Low wifi signal. Cold in the room Too pricy restaurant
Review 13:Easy to get to train station to get to Venice and to the airport. Most staff very helpful Nice breakfast, reach Tried their specialty Tiramisu
Review 14:Cost of taxis - arrived with a lot on meter already'
Review 15:Position - came for the rugby - in easy walking distance as was the old town. Not far from airport. Very helpful and polite staff.
Review 16:Only negatives are that the street noise outside might be a little too loud (it was a Saturday night though) and you can hear people in the neighboring rooms and hallway a bit. For me it was OK as I was getting up early anyway.
Review 17:- easy to get to - secure garage for my motorcycle - 700 meter walk to old town area - decent breakfast - nice friendly staff - clean and nice hotel
Review 18:Carla and Cristina in care of the front desk were very friendly and helpful as was the rest of the staff.. We'll gladly stay in the same hotel again. Thank you we really enjoyed our short visit there. We made ourselves a promise to comeback to Treviso.
Review 19:disappointing that hotel's restaurant was not open on a Saturday evening. also though Wi-Fi was free reception was both poor and very slow. no coffee/tea making facility in room, had to ask.
Review 20:the location, price and staff.
Review 21:Initially not too easy to find my way around the hotel
Review 22:Excellent buffet breakfast
Review 23:The accommodation was amazing with everything you needed available. the position and outlook was simply stunning as were the local walks and people.
Review 24:value service breakfast all first class
Review 25:Nothing really
Review 26:the location, but we do enjoy a walk 10 to 15 min into town centre.Buses also stop just by euro 1.30 to town
Review 27:We were only there for one night and it was good for us.
Review 28:Everything
Review 29:Staff really put themselves out for us. We were only there for one night and really appreciated the care they took.
Review 30:friendly
Review 31:hospitality.
Review 32:The staff was great. The nigh staff and also the morning staff did more than you would aspect.
Review 33:All good
Review 34:Good clean best breakfast in Europe
Review 35:Personal don't speak english, thin walls, not working conditioner
Review 36:Having to get a taxi to reach town Centre
Review 37:Location and comfortable bed
Review 38:Bed, furniture and smell of the room.
Review 39:Near airport Near city centre
Review 40:The rooms of the ground floor have a odd smell, as did the breakfast area.
Review 41:The price was great.
Review 42:Room near elevator - bad sleeping.
Review 43:Clean,hotel has all things for comfort, but in small way! Important - near airport!
Review 44:Good not fault the hotel, very friendly staff and knowledgable
Review 45:Everything great
Review 46:We had to ventilate the room for a few hours to get rid of the initial awful smell.
Review 47:Friendly staff.
Review 48:Nothing
Review 49:Very close to central Treviso and to Treviso airport - also has petrol station next to it.
Review 50:Absolutely first class breakfast. Close to Treviso airport if you arrive late at night. Short taxi ride to hotel. Then a bus ride to Treviso station the next morning to catch train into Venice.
Review 51:Not an attractive position on a main road
Review 52:Close to Treviso Airport. Petrol Station next door convenient for filling hire car. Large Supermarket across road.
Review 53:The hotel is in a good location for an overnight stay at the airport. We stayed there on our first night for our trip to Venice because we had a late arrival at the airport. It is within walking distances of the old town, which is worth a look. To Venice, it is only a 2:50€ train ride. The hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable for sleeping. The breakfast was also good. It is a very good value for the money.
Review 54:The hotel was located a bit outside the city center and there was not much to do in the neighborhood. The wifi needed some power,
Review 55:The room was nice and quiet, and I had a great balcony. The food was okay in their restaurant, the wifi worked so-so - it didn't work in the restaurant, parking was just outside and free.
Review 56:We would have liked the Wi-Fi to actually work in our room, the only place we could get a decent signal was in the foyer or outside our room in the corridor.
Review 57:The Hotel was ideally situated for us to get to the rugby ground and not too far to walk into Treviso. The staff were friendly and approachable considering our limited Italian.
Review 58:Very good hotel, especially considering it is a 3-star. Pleasantly surprised by the good choice of breakfast menu, and the spacious twin room. Extremely helpful front desk staff who went out of their way to give us advice on where to go etc. Highly recommended.
Review 59:Map of Treviso from reception was a small photocopy and a larger more informative edition would have helped
Review 60:Splendid Breakfast Buffet Pleasant walk to centre of Treviso
Review 61:V small room (economy single) next to lift shaft, so noise from that. Aircon didn't work so had to open window, which meant (a) very noisy as hotel on busy intersection, and (b) local mosquitoes came to call.
Review 62:Room with all facilities, and ok for one night. Not far from city centre (on way to/from airport)
Review 63:Gas station just next to the hotel. Quite far from anything (as for Treviso). Single room was tiny.
Review 64:Friendly staff, nice restaurant, large double rooms, wifi, bus stops and supermarket just in front of the hotel.
Review 65:a very clean and modern small hotel on the edge of town. Easy walk to the centre. The staff were helpful and the breakfast had plenty of choice. Very good value.
Review 66:There was nothing, in our short stay, that we didnt like.
Review 67:Our stay in Treviso was unfortunately only very short but we were stunned by the wonderful architecture and scenery, especially the area by the river.
Review 68:Shower, when used, water goes out on the whole floor - maybe longer shower curtain needed
Review 69:The Hotel was found to be very convenient as it was only about 15 minutes away by car from the airport and 20 minutes walking to Treviso centre. It was also close to train station which can take you to Venice. Reception staff very helpful especially the one who has been working there for only 3 days but he was very friendly and helpful with our questions.
Review 70:There was nothing we didn't like.
Review 71:The staff was amazing. I had a medical problem and the hotel manager and his wife found me a good doctor that would see me right away. The manager then drove me to the doctor and served as an interpreter. He insisted it was his pleasure to serve the needs of his guests. We also enjoyed the hotel food and the city which was a 10 minute walk to the center of old town. I highly recommend this hotel.
Review 72:A hotel full of friendly and really helpful people who welcome you at any time of a day with a smile on their face. One of the cleanest hotels I have ever been, located next to the big supermarket and not to far from the city centre.
Review 73:15 euro from airport to hotel in Taxi 10 euro from the hotel toTreviso train station 13 euro with luggage cheaper options availableon Public Transport
Review 74:Great location from Treviso Airport We loved are stay at Al Fogher wearrived late evening the staff was very welcoming and help out with anyrequest we made they all spoke really good English at the reception. Ourroom was clean and comfortable the continental breakfast was fantasticincluded in price and the Wifi was good also included in price of roomwould recommend to anyone
Review 75:the location is not the best if you want to visit the city and you don't have your own transportation.
Review 76:the room was very comfortable, the bathroom cleaned and with soft nice towels and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold food and lovely apricot croissants.
Review 77:Felt a bit shabby.
Review 78:Within 800m of the town and convenient for the airport (but taxischarge a flat rate of 15 Euros to the airport from anywhere incentral Treviso).
Review 79:Nothing as such, I just didn't find anything to dislike. Simply great
Review 80:Just next to shopping centre Pan Panorma. Professional staff members...!!! Overall excellent.
Review 81:The receptionist that was on call when we left did not speak English and it was a pain to get the invoice made right.
Review 82:The receptionist that welcomed us was very nice and helpful. We arrived late as the restaurant was closing but she talked to the staff and they served us nonetheless.
Review 83:My only gripe was that we had to ask for tea/coffee making equipment, there was no charge for this, so why is it not in the room as standard? And it would be nice to have proper cups not polystyrene.
Review 84:It was perfect for our needs, good location.
Review 85:The only outdoor seating area appears to be right at the front next to a petrol station so not great on ambience! Also there is no bar/cafe -only the breakfasting area. The restaurant under the hotel is independent so you can't charge meals there to your room account, but the food was excellent.
Review 86:For our purposes the location was very good - you can walk into the centre of Treviso in around 20 minutes, or catch the bus from just around the corner which takes only about 5 minutes. There is also a bus stop across the road where you can catch the bus to the airport - takes about 15 minutes or so. Breakfast buffet was good and the staff very helpful.
Review 87:A part of breakfast was puted 10 minutes after 7.That made us lo loose part of meal because he has plane to cach.
Review 88:Location near aeroport, great rooms, nice personel, good wifi.
Review 89:It is not very close to the old-town. You need at least 20-25 minutes by walk.
Review 90:The rooms were amazing and very comfortable. It was huge with a very big bathroom. The breakfast was very nice too.
Review 91:Me and my son stayed one night in the hotel, as Treviso was a transit airport for our trip. Hotel was quite good, close to both, city centre and the airport, rooms were clean and comfortable, hotel staff was helpful, wireless Internet was decent.
Review 92:Lovely helpful staff. Modern, clean, close enough to walk to City Centre. Does free bike hire. Good range of food at breakfast. Had pc we could use to print airline tickets.
Review 93:It's a bit outside town maybe 20, 25 mins walk.
Review 94:This is a fairly basic hotel on a busy road but we booked it because it was near to the airport and we had an early flight. It was fine for one night but I wouldn't say longer. The staff were lovely especially the girl working on the evening of Aug 5 (didn't get her name) . She went out of her way to help us when we had problems with petrol station next door. Breakfast was the usual fruit ,pastries ,eggs meats ect .
Review 95:The location is just ok for visiting the city - and we would probably have used a taxi if they had not lent us bikes. Breakfast was just passable really, lots of tinned fruit and processed meats, but did the job. Treviso is ok, but I would not recommend it for more than one night, especially with Venice so close.
Review 96:The hotel was very comfortable for a one-night stop for Treviso airport, which is where I think it is aimed. An unexpected bonus was that they lent us bikes (no charge) which made it easy to have a look around Treviso and get something to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and I thought it was good value. Treviso seems to have one central square (Piazza Independenza, I think) which is lively and pleasant, and we did not come across much else - surprisingly few restaurants and bars. The location is fairly convenient for the airport - 10 minutes on a bus that comes every 20 minutes.
Review 97:Hotel is not within easy walking distance of town. There are buses andhotel bikes. For the Wi-Fi, needed to obtain a new user name andpassword from reception for each computer and each time you connected- tedious.
Review 98:Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed at the bw Al Fogher to take partin the Pinarello bike marathon in July. The hotel is bike-friendlyallowing guests to keep their bikes safe in the rooms. The hotel alsohas city bikes available to use free of charge to ride into town (5-10minutes). Free Wi-Fi available.
Review 99:It is not bw level hotel. Poor breakfast and when we come at thebeginning nothing was prepared, we had to wait. Airport is 2,7 km farbut they have no normal solution to get there, we paid for taxi 30 euroround trip, it is not ok. We don't reccomend to take this hotel
Review 100:Location
Review 101:The room was air conditioned, but the temperature was inconsistant, itwould be a little warm when we went to bed and then cold by the middleof the night. I had to get out of bed and grab an additional blanket tomake it comfortable. The staff was nice enough, but slow to respond. The facilities are acceptable, but certainly nothing special. It was along walk to the train station and the town was kind of fun, butnothing special.
Review 102:I prefer rooms without carpet.
Review 103:the service received from the hotel staff and the easiness they gave us to manage my booking. The location is really good between the airport and the city center.
Review 104:It is not a pretty hotel. externally it looks like a big concrete block and internally the rooms have too much grey paint
Review 105:pleasant, helpful staff. Clean room and comfy beds. Breakfast very good. Treviso is lovely and the train to Venice is cheap and efficient
Review 106:the only complaint is that our rooms smelled of cigarettes although we booked no smoking rooms.
Review 107:good hotel with nice and helpful staff. good breakfast.
Review 108:Be updated with written informations in English, French and German. Beupdated with nearby eating places.
Review 109:The friendly staff, location near airport and good connection by busesto city the breakfast buffet
Review 110:no issues
Review 111:friendly helpful staff nothing too much bother. ideal location for airport, rugby stadium and city centre good bus routes in front of hotel and nice walk to all also.
Review 112:The Hotel is situated right next door to a petrol station so the outlook from our bedroom was not good as we overlooked the pumps and the forecourt. The shower in our room didn't work properly and the shower head had to be changed. We had to ask for a kettle as one was not provided in the room. The bacon wasn't cooked properly and the hot breakfast option was very limited. The Hotel was a good twenty minute walk to the station and fifteen minutes to the Old Town. Treviso old town was very quiet at night and the Restuarant choices were very limited.
Review 113:The room was a good size.
Review 114:I was aware from previous reviews that the Restaurant was unlikely to be open during our stay, but i was dissappointed that there was no bar area to relax in the evening. The only area to have a drink was the reception area and it was without atmosphere.
Review 115:Very comfortable, very clean, good breakfast, staff very helpful and cooperative, close to the airport and train station. Venice is only 30 minutes by train from Treviso.
Review 116:Having spent only just night there I did not mind, but the views are not that nice, a large crossroad and a filling station.
Review 117:the hotel would benefit from a renovation, decor is '80s-'90s, however it is impeccably maintained and all is functional. Bathroom was not cramped and has a window.
Review 118:Happy with accomodation walking distance of treviso town hotel stafffriendly and helpful lost my key to my case and one of the staff openedit for me clean rooms good breakfast plenty to eat would stay at alFogher on another trip to treviso
Review 119:During our stay we had 2 days of serious problems with the water - i.e. we didn't have any!! Both times the staff were able to resolve the situation within 1-2 hours but I do believe that this hotel does have a problem with its water supply. The hotel restaurant and bar were not open during our stay, which considering we were on a Rugby Tour was not good! - I think this should have been made clear prior to us booking.
Review 120:Close enough to the city and the Rugby ground, staff very friendly, breakfast very good.
Review 121:Tiny bathroom and shower cubicle. No water on Saturday morning due to aproblem at the hotel, although this was fixed very quickly. No drinkmaking facilities in the room.
Review 122:Very clean and quiet
Review 123:The hotel was very ugly outside and the situation (next to a petrol station and on the ring road) less than ideal. It was noisy if a window was opened. The furniture in the bedrooms was really basic and very unattractive. The lighting in the rooms was harsh. It is definitely a budget option hotel.
Review 124:The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our purposes (attending a rugby match) and the cafeteria spotless with excellent breakfast facilities. In addition, the bed was very comfortable and although very utilitarian, we had access to a balcony (with great views over Treviso) which we hadn't had at a much more expensive hotel in Venice. The centre of town was an pleasant 15 minute walk away. Thought the price paid for the room and breakfast fair for the facilities.
