Reviews for Cascina Baràc
Review 1:The location was wonderful, the property itself, immaculate, and the staff was excellent, so helpful with dinner reservations, and winery visits. We couldn't have asked for more.
Review 2:The place is very charming and embedded in a beautiful surrounding. The staff is very friendly and helpful with reservations for dinner. The property has it's own winery offering some nice glasses to taste.
Review 3:We made a last minute booking, and found this absolute gem a few kilometres outside "down-town" Alba! We asked for recommendations for eating places locally, and they gave us list with 6 or 7 names - pointed out which ones weren't Michelin Starred (not too impressed with those) and suggested a small place close to the centre of Alba. Breakfast was small, but adequate. We'll definitely return!!
Review 4:They don't serve dinner at the location, it would be easier if they had a list of local restaurants as an alternative especially driving up and down unfamiliar roads in the dark .
Review 5:Beautiful view, the location was remote and intimate. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 6:Booking . Com didn't send us an updated rate for our final booking rate for 2 persons in room. On my cell phone it said we owed 375 euro for 3 nights, but we had to pay 25euro extra a night for my husband. Not the hotel's fault.
Review 7:Setting is spectacular ! Need a car to stay at property! Property is a working vineyard!
Review 8:great location and very friendly staff. Breakfast was the best of the week for us. The staff recommended a restaurant for dinner that was literally the best dinner we have eaten and only 3km away. Loved our visit.
Review 9:Set among the rolling hills of a vineyard, the hotel blends naturally into it's setting and oozes with relaxation. The staff is friendly and helpful and made us regret having booked so few days. The accommodations were fantastic - perfect for a romantic getaway, writing a novel, serving as a base to explore local cuisine and wine or for a family of three or more.
Review 10:It's in an absolutely gorgeous setting, in the middle of vineyards, surrounded by rolling hills. The breakfast is superb, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Review 11:The wifi was very spotty.
Review 12:The breakfast was wonderful and the views are simply gorgeous. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable. Overall, a quiet and relaxing property.
Review 13:They have gorgeous views, it is very relaxing and welcoming. They had lots of information regarding restaurants and other places to visit in the area. The staff was very helpful and courteous. By the time you leave you already want to come back.
Review 14:simply too expensive for the small room and limited facilities.
Review 15:Nice place with great view; ideal for reading a book outside in the well maintained garden.
Review 16:Looking out our window, the view was stunning. The manager, or owner, was very nice and accommodating, The room, though a tad small, was neat and cozy.
Review 17:This place has charm of an authentic Italian villa with lots of endearing original features. It is located in a beautiful, quiet area and surrounded by vineyards offering breathtaking views. Owners and staff are attentive but discreet offering quality non intrusive service. If you want to find a heavenly retreat to rest from stress and hustle of busy life this is the right place. Villa is located within few minutes by car from town Alba which has plenty of good shops (including Missoni factory store), restaurants and cafés (Italian coffee is amazing!) Can’t praise Cascina Barac high enough. We’d like to go back.
Review 18:airco was not totally working well
Review 19:so peaceful and quiet, totally relaxing. Beautiful environment in the midst of vineyards etc - very friendly people, helpful. All in all : Italy at its best !
Review 20:You have to be quite short to shower comfortably in the shower in the apartment level room. This may have only been the case in our room, though, because of where it was situated in the property.
Review 21:The location is so scenic. Perfect for a wine country get away. The staff recommended amazing restaurants and even reserved us the best table! The breakfast was a delicious dream.
Review 22:Beautiful location to discover with friends. We loved the beautiful country scenery and the winery that is also on the same land owned by the relatives have us an amazing tour.
Review 23:If you want standardized Agruturismo the place is fine, nothing special though. Wi-Fi didn't work most of the time.
Review 24:The location is just perfect near Barolo and Alba (most vineries within 30 to 45 minutes reach). Staff is super friendly and breakfast excellent. Michelin restaurant nearby.
Review 25:It was a bit too expensive for the level. It is a nice place but quite basic. They don't have a restaurant but the breakfast is OK.
Review 26:We stayed in this wonderful little hotel during the truffle season in November. The staff were very friendly and very good at finding the best restaurants for us. I would highly recommend this place as a base to explore the region.
Review 27:My wife and I chose this place to end our stay in Italy for our honeymoon. We chose well. This was an oasis of calm and beauty and only a 5-10 minute drive to Alba and Trieso. The staff was accomodating and friendly, helping us do everything from make resevations to finding a dentist in Alba. Our room/apartment was absolutely beautiful and completely silent and exactly what we wanted. This place would be great for anyone ho simply wants to enjoy the beauty of Piedmont from the vines and not from a hotel in Alba.
Review 28:Everything was OK, we were just surprised to find out that the restaurant was closed (we explicitly chose this place in order to be able to eat where we were staying so to be able to enjoy the wine without worrying about driving). This was probably signposted on their website but not on booking.com and we were notified about the restaurant being closed too late in the process. Also the breakfast was nice but from such a place we would have expected more locally produced stuffs.
Review 29:Very nice location, beautiful garden with view on the vineyards where you can relax and read a book. We would definitely stay there again.
Review 30:1. Minor - Wi-Fi was a little bit slow.
Review 31:1. Dream location in quiet beautiful vineyards near famous Barolo, Barbaresco, and Alba. 2. Clean rooms. 3. Excellent breakfast. 4. Excellent attentive staff.
Review 32:The fridge makes weird noises in the night and the hotel is not easy to find without a GPS.
Review 33:Location, in the mountain, quiet with beautiful scenery. We have experienced the most beautiful sunset in the mountain area so far.
Review 34:The only disadvantage is that they are not allowed to serve dinner in the hotel.
Review 35:The Cascina Baràc is simply amazing. Delicious Breakfast, amazing view over the vines and the stunning nature of Piemont, very kind and helpful staff, clean, cute and a very high standard of room (even WIFI) We will definitely return :)

Review 67:Very good hotel! Friendly staff and clean rooms (bathroom is cleaned every day), delicious breakfast, nice view over the winejards. We highly recomend this hotel!
Review 68:No coverage of the free wifi in our particular room, but it was available in the comfortable lobby / dining area.
Review 69:A warm & inviting welcome with a complimentary glass of wine on arrival. I am gluten free and I was very well catered for at breakfast, and the breakfast is diverse and abundant. Beautiful area, wonderful views. And the staff organised a visit to the vineyard adjacent to the property which was excellent.
Review 70:it's better to relocate car parking from the side looking to Treiso - otherwise view from the window is not so perfect as it can be
Review 71:This is one of the new agroturizmo hotels. Location is good - 360 degrees around only vineyards and hills. About 10 min drive to Alba centre. In Treiso - small village near the hotel there are one Michelin restaurant and at least one just a good restaurant. Breakfast is good, sleep comfort is excellent.
Review 72:Room in attic had only one window & was dark.
