Reviews for Villa Quaranta Wine Hotel & SPA

Review 1:Spa comes at extra cost of €16 p.p. per day. Restrictive opening times of facilities (just ten hours a day, spa and swimming pool close half seven).

Review 2:Excellent breakfast!

Review 3:Chekout is a little bit earlier than you can expect - 10 am.

Review 4:The price is good, the room is great for 4*, the breakfast is included in the not very high price even during the highly croweded exhibition in Verona. Free parking and good WiFi without any sessions expirations.

Review 5:Our room was in the old part of the building, and it was dirty, dark, used...needed a reconstruction very very much ! The spa is very small and dissapointing, the garden is nice.

Review 6:The hats in the pool were excessive rule abiding for an activity which essentially should be fun. There was a couple heavily petting in the pool which around children is surely more insulting than the need to wear a swim hat!

Review 7:The old villa with restaurant & courtyard were nice. It lacked atmosphere In The new building and felt like it had the potential to be amazing but somehow didn't flow together.

Review 8:The staff attitude and the promptness in service, one of the two rooms the TV was partially working and it never been repaired. a bit overpriced. Overall a comfortable Hotel with god facilities

Review 9:I like very much the Villa it self and How they renovate it. Good Breakfast, good swimming pool and great wine selection, restaurant fair.

Review 10:The staff needs more training (the breakfast staff are the best). Laundry closes on weekends??! if you need to iron something you cannot on a weekend.. if you ask for a ironer, they do not provide it.. I had to iron my stuff in the lobby! Food: Be aware, you can starve at the hotel.. as the room service and restaurants open only at specific times and since there is nothing around and rare public transport, you can really starve... The hairdresser: I had a wedding, I call the reception, they confirm my appointment at 2.. I go, the ladies do not speak a word of English and obviously messed up the appointments.. they ask me to wait.. I wait an hour.. to finally tell me they cannot, I had to make a fuss.. I mean it all comes down to service and people especially that it is a resort in the middle of nowhere and far from the center.. they need to ensure their customers are comfortable and basic service is accessible... you wont be comfortable.. except if you are well prepared..

Review 11:the hotel itself is nice. The rooms are cute and charming. The spa , the gym and the pools. The whole facility is nice But!

Review 12:The air conditioner barely cooled off the room. It would be nice if they would let the temperature get below 22 degrees Celsius.

Review 13:The facilities were amazing and clean. The resort was beautiful and the staff mostly friendly.

Review 14:The staff is formal and very correct. Sometimes they could be a bit more welcoming.

Review 15:This is a first-rate hotel with every amenity. I always stop here because of the fitness center and sauna along with the comfortable rooms.

Review 16:location is a little bit far away from the city. and there is no public tranport way. Only taxi or self-driving.

Review 17:The room is big enough and very clear. Valuable for the price. The staff are friendly.

Review 18:There was no help at arrival (in the rain) with my luggage.

Review 19:This hotel excellent facilities: comfortable rooms, spacious bathrooms, superb restaurant, excellent wine bar, and an amazing spa. Mattress was of excellent quality. Thermal pools were gorgeous and well-designed.

Review 20:We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous stay at Villa Quaranta Park hotel in August, loved our rooms and thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting and feast put on by the hotel during our stay. The selection of indoor pools and the outdoor pool was all very relaxing and the ample breakfasts each morning set each day off to a very good start. Great to have free wi-fi access in the room and a selection of English chanels available on the TV. Many thanks again for our lovely stay.

Review 21:This spa hotel is in a quiet area, not far from the tourist towns of Lake Garda Nearby we found a big supermarket and the local restaurants in the area were good . Made us want to come back again

Review 22:The smell of cigar in a no smoking room If you don't want to eat at the restaurant there was a long walk to other possibilities along a highly traficated road The menu at the bar was poor

Review 23:The restaurant

Review 24:We loved everything

Review 25:.Beautiful hotel, provides much more than a 4 star hotel, surrounded by acres of beautiful garden. a great pool, and professional gym. The hotel staff are so nice and professional.Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent even though it was filled with guests

Review 26:Nothing!

Review 27:Great hospitality and unbelievable restaurant.

Review 28:room felt like a cheap motel

Review 29:The pool was a great surprize

Review 30:Pretentious

Review 31:Value for money deal on booking.com but would not have been happy if I'd paid the hotels going rate

Review 32:Great place to relax after the driving in Italy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the Wine Tasting. Rooms were very comfortable.

Review 33:Wi-fi - working yet need to enter a code all the time

Review 34:Every thing was prefect and the free wine tasting is a nice cheery

Review 35:Terrible WiFi!

Review 36:Very helpful staff, excellent restaurant in the park, nice spa, great breakfast facility, fantastic two level family rooms in old part.

Review 37:Excelnt Staf Spa and pool Big rooms Resturant Wine tasting

Review 38:The wine tasting, service and food was great. We loved the amenities that Villa Quaranta offers. Very nice place to visit.

Review 39:New buildings were Bit "cold". To less gardening in this area.

Review 40:Wonderful anbiente, nice surroundings. Peculiar Restaurant. To Short for just One Night

Review 41:The blanket was not clean and it had holes. The carpet was not cleaneither. At breakfast even though they had apparently a good espressomachine the cappuccino tasted like american coffee. The fruit juiceswere neither fresh nor drinkable - pure chemistry.

Review 42:There was no air-conditioning. Room temperature was 24,3 and even with open window it could not get lower. They offered another room, but it was not any better. (It is important to add that they offered me free lunch next day for the incovenience.) If you arrive on Sunday evening it is unlikely you can enjoy the spa as on Monday they open at noon.)

Review 43:The spa is really great.

Review 44:Everyone can enter the pool it's shared not only for the guests of the hotel. But it's big and not too mutch people visiting.

Review 45:Their Spa is great!!!! great!!!! great!!!! great!!!! The small wine testing the hotel gives for free is cute.

Review 46:Finding the hotel! The road really needs better signage to accurately find the entrance. Swimming lessons in the pool - perhaps better notification of these times so as to not conflict with guest relaxation times. Also there were too many people allowed into the spa area at one time - there should be a maximum limit.

Review 47:The general atmosphere was very welcoming and tranquil. It made a great hideaway retreat, the spa facilities were lovely and there was plenty of space to relax both within and beyond the room. Spa bath was great!

Review 48:The a/c does not work that good in the room. The staff was a littlesnippy when we asked about things to do as if we were bothering them.

Review 49:The spa facilities were top notch! Breakfast was very good and thegrounds were very well taken care of. Beautiful hotel and a great stay.

Review 50:Had a very nice meal. They had a very good house wine but wish I had asked if I could try their Amarone wine by the glass. It's way out of my price range but wouls have sprung for one glass just to try it.

Review 51:Had to pay for wi-fi and towels for the pool. Kind a a bummer when u pay more for hotel stay.

Review 52:Beautiful resort. Very high quality on everything. Rooms large and very comfortable. Wellness center was awesome. Pools and whirlpools great. Beautiful furnishings.

Review 53:Children swimming classes in the socalled spa-area. Not very romantic! We were not able to get the treatments that we chose the hotel for because the spa was very much understaffed. A bit funny that the recommended wine from the hotels friendship vineyard, tommasi, was priced at € 69 at the restaurant - the same wine was priced € 29 at the actual vineyard next door... Wifi, but not free wifi - com'on!!

Review 54:Good food and local wine.

Review 55:(1) Some of the desk staff not as friendly as others (2) Why should we pay a EUR16 per person surcharge for the Spa, when we stayed in the most expensive accomodation? (3) All TV channels in Italian (not even a BBC world news channel) (4) Nothing in the room that told us what number to call for reception, or housekeeping, etc (5) The front desk said they would show us to the room, but only led us to the ground floor elevator! (6) No dedicated concierge desk/service to advise on trips, restaurants, etc.

Review 56:The size of suite and the bathroom, plus the swimming pool complex

Review 57:Minor issue--AC was already turned off for the season and our roomhappened to be alongside the semi-busy road. Opening the window meant alittle road noise. Otherwise, not a single negative thing to say! Mostrooms are not along this side.

Review 58:This is a large property--perfect for conferences and weddings. Forour family (kids, parents, grandparents) there was something foreveryone. Kids were allowed to use four pools (must have bathing cap, though, which are on sale at spa reception). There is a separate adult-only therme with sauna, etc. Grown ups loved dinner at the hotel restaurant--excellent quality entrees and wine from the region (vapolicella, ripasso, amarone). The staff was gracious, adjusting our roomselection to accommodate our large party. Downtown Verona is a 15minute drive. Vineyards are within 5 -15 minutes depending on whichvalley you want to see.

Review 59:Luxury with good spa and relaxations included in price! wonderful place to have good relax, staff frendly, exelent restaurant but also price is not cheep.

Review 60:No option for a simple evening meal/snack - the 'Cantina' was not open

Review 61:Beautiful pool Fabulous restaurant Outstanding room Very helpful staff super massage Great breakfast

Review 62:Not very child friendly, mostly elderly couples who constantly raised their eyebrows if there was a hint of noise from the children in the pool. They also make you wear swimming caps...The staff at and around the poolarea was not very friendly, and we did not feel welcome in the snack bar. I realise that we are guests in Italy, but they need to learn some basic english, as that would be the only way of communicating. But to be fair , the staff at the reception desk spoke good english.

Review 63:Nice sorroundings, cool room and property. Very romantic! You will need a car if you are staying here.

Review 64:The restaurant had a very limited menu - the same for lunch and dinner, and was not inspiring - it did not match the hotel facilities. Breakfast offered an extensive choice but the quality was not there.

Review 65:We loved the outdoor swimming pool - huge and very clean. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and very spacious. The staff were extremely helpful. Across the road is an excellent restaurant - fantastic beef, homemade bread, and an array of outstanding homemade desserts.

Review 66:Dirty, shower is very bad, carpet smells bad after wet climatisiatıon islow smallest window , ı have ever seen.I have never stay this kind of hotel all over worlsd, I sayed more than 200 hotels ( india, china , brasil, grece etc ) I stayed marco polo hotel in xiamen. it2s number one.

Review 67:Very close our job

Review 68:The cost of the restaurant is bit high for the service given.

Review 69:Information about Spa and they could show where the location of spa is, and other faccilities

Review 70:Convenient location for travelling in the Verona area and stylish new hotel incorporated into old villa. Good parking. Good restaurant.

Review 71:Bad breakfest

Review 72:Sport facilities only opening 09:00 and shared with non-guests

Review 73:Restaurant - sport facilities

Review 74:Only one comment. The room was missing a shoe horn

Review 75:Design

Review 76:Check out time is too early (10 am) but they give you an additional hour.

Review 77:Excellent & I will go back.

Review 78:Expensive in-house restaurant, and lack of infrastructure in the vicinity.

Review 79:A very nice place for rest. Good spa and sporting facilities, nice area.

Review 80:having to buy & wear a bathing cap.
