Reviews for Quest Albury
Review 1:I booked the hotel as a female traveler solo for work. I booked it based on the fact that you had in house meals and an equipped gym. The tred mill was not working and there was no cooling at all, and your resturant was closed due to refurb and there was no mention of that anywhere when I was booking... Very disappointed
Review 2:The guy at the front desk was very helpful
Review 3:Hotel did not receive the correct bedding configuration description and other details I had entered into booking.com. Wifi was 500mb limit for stay for whole family. Also spa and massage facility was a separate store with no advantage if you were a hotel guest or not. By this logic every nearby hotel could claim a massage and spa facility.
Review 4:Convienient location. Modern appliances.
Review 5:Stinky drain smell outside main doors and every now and then got it coming up through our bathroom drain . And curtains needed replacing or at least the hooks and clips that were meant to be holding curtains to rack. A clothes drying rack would of been handy .
Review 6:The fact that we got upgraded on arrival . Walking distance to all clubs, shops , restaurants . .
Review 7:Cooking appliances are whack. The fridge didn't work. Air con remotes didn't have batteries. Alarm clock didn't work. No pool. No spa. Gym is so so.
Review 8:Space and Location
Review 9:Hotel resturant charge back facility offered by the hotel does not make it clear that a 10% additional fee will be charged to your account. Add this to the fact of paying by any credit card incurred a fee. All this information is only made availale in VERY SMALL PRINT if you can find it. Buyer beware!!!!
Review 10:Good value for money with Booking.com discount!
Review 11:Room stank of Indian cooking. Rubbish bin not emptied & bin needs replacing. Smelly rubbish in under building parking area. Bathroom exhaust fan not working. Restuarant closed in peak holiday period.
Review 12:Friendly Staff
Review 13:No cleanup done on days stayed (25-26 dec), even when requested to change sheets was told by cleanup staff who were there on duty that they couldn't do it as they were not allowed to do so.
Review 14:Clean Apartment, great location easy access to main Albury attractions
Review 15:Only thing that would have been useful was if there was an indication on the website that the restaurant was not open during the Christmas and New year period. Part of the reason for booking this accommodation was that there was a restaurant available.
Review 16:Lovely large rooms, comfortable beds and good showers. Quick booking in given the number of customers staying at Quest Albury. Cleaning staff very helpful whilst under pressure during this busy time of the year. Would stay there again.
Review 17:Wifi could be a bit better, it disconnected me every 5 mins, but given it's free, no complains
Review 18:Very cheap price, convenient location, friendly staff
Review 19:The bathrooms were dated compared to the exterior of the building, the rooms and hallways smelt musty. We paid $270 for a 2 bedroom room and I have stayed in much nicer places for less, so I think it's overpriced for what you get.
Review 20:Staff were friendly, location was good
Review 21:There was a very huge blood stain in our doona cover (not really sure how the room attendant missed it as it was in the very top most center of the sheet). Toaster was not working and very little amenities. Hard to get hold of reception to ask for their assistance to amend these issues, had to call many times.
Review 22:Location and rooms are spacious.
Review 23:Booking wasn't what I had booked Which was ment to be a 2 bed apartment with balcony for 5 adults !!! We got NO balcony and 2 bed appartment with only 2 king beds no room for the 5 th person to sleep staff not that helpful to get a room change and waiting time was beyond the normal time and then all we got was a portable bed for a 6 foot 3 guy to sleep on !!! I was not happy and had to be at a function in an hour so no time to spare and I didn't argue with the receptionist who clearly wasn't overly helpful or did he even seem to apologise for the mistake
Review 24:It was in albury not far from the function we had to go to
Review 25:The reception staff were efficient and friendly and the housekeeping staff also were helpful, polite and friendly. Early check in was surprisingly available. The room and facilities were very comfortable and clean.
Review 26:Our room was closest to the street. Even with windows closed we had constant ding, ding of the traffic lights timer. Also much early morning traffic noise - too loud.
Review 27:The location was good, the staff friendly and helpful.
Review 28:I think that when they are full they need some more car parking facilities but such a small downfall.
Review 29:Due to me staying a full week my room was upgraded to a one room studio - very nice. There was no undue noise in the building. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the room very comfortable.
Review 30:Price is ideal- not the most expensive, nor the cheapest. You get value for money. It is walking distance to main street. Room was small, yet clean and tidy.
Review 31:The fact that I had a noise complaint at 8.50pm for being on speaker phone, as I work for myself and was still working. I was in a King Suite, I still cant believe it. If the walls are that thin, I"d never be able to work.
Review 32:The facilities were great and comfortable travel this way every 6 -8 wks first time I stayed. Not again
Review 33:Noise level of other guests. They were VERY noisy and I was woken about 4 times throughout the night. Also, there should be some tissues in the room. the exit from the property is difficult to maneuverer
Review 34:Location. good room size comfortable bed.
Review 35:Only one mug in the room. Surely an oversight.
Review 36:The ability to change the date of our booking after we were forced to cancel our trip. It was a no refund booking through Booking.com
Review 37:Poor customer service. Booked for wedding party and despite requesting a roller bed in booking, nothing was supplied and one of my bridesmaids spent night on the hard couch. When discussing this with staff they were very unhelpful & unapologetic.
Review 38:Basic cleaning was ok, but found ?substance on dining room chair. Rusty cheap old rubbish bin in bathroom, (of all things) let in down. Not having a TV in the bedroom.
Review 39:The size of the apartment, would be easy to be here for a week. Car parking.
Review 40:We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. Very disappointed to find there was no restaurant open Sunday for breakfast, no room servicing, no clean towels offered. If we are paying the same price. A hotel should offer all services 7 days a week. The tea and coffee you supply is terrible.
Review 41:Great location. Onsite parking.
Review 42:The floors were not as clean as could be and a perhaps some club chairs to sit on rather than the bed.
Review 43:Convenient, u/c parking, tourism orientated important and too often ignored by acconadation providers
Review 44:Staff were very straight and serious, maybe a smile to welcome their guest id against there policy. corridors on our floor had rubbish dump near elevators when we checked in and still there when we checked out. No breakfast available when we were there either.
Review 45:Clean and modern hotel room, good location close to a lot of thing. Room was quiet and bed was comfy.
Review 46:Our balcony room on top floor and motel allows smokers,we were unable to sit on balcony or leave balcony door or windows open as downstairs were chainsmokers all the smoke drifted in room asked to change NO
Review 47:Comfy bed soft plush towels clean crockery and cutlery easy parking fairly close to town centre
Review 48:sent me a letter 2 days before we came, but wrote wrong name to call me "Miss", although I clearly register in Booking that I am "Mr." I reply the email, but looks they don't change. the night I check in, the lady in lobby still print the check-in bill with the name "Miss". And they don't prepare the kid bed before I check in, although I reserved 3 people live in.
Review 49:good facility. free car parking.
Review 50:Car parking is limited, not enough spaces for the units. Found it very hard to find the way out of park. Way out gate was locked after hours. Had to dangerously back out along the one way road into oncoming traffic. Our dryer didn't work and had to trap up and down to laundry for 2 hours to get washing done. The dryer was the reason we booked here and that was NOT the way to spend the night after hours travelling.
Review 51:Comfortable beds, modern and spacious.
Review 52:Upon arrival I presented my Booking.com confirmation only to be told my reservation had not been received or recorded. After inspecting my booking confirmation I was told a room would be ready in 30 minutes. One hour later I was given my room key but to my surprise after opening my door found another guest in the room.Reporting this to the front desk I was told they didnt know how this happened and could I now come back in another 30 mins. This inconvenience or incompetence leads me to say I will never again use this hotel
Review 53:location.tarrif
Review 54:check in staff gave me the keys to somebody else's room. Bad mistake, I walked in on another couple watching tv
Review 55:Very comfortable bed, very nice, clean and modern facilities
Review 56:A 4 day stay required more comfortable seats as was in other suites we stayed in at the other end of the building a few years earlier, told "Josh" at the desk the tiles were extremely slippery around the shower when wet, told him I fell but was ok, to record for risk management purposes, he asked if I wished to complain, I did not, just as a broker insuring hospitality was warning you that the tiles when wet were hazardous, could have been bad for an elderly person, I just had a giggle at time ( enough padding ), don't think he wrote anything down because I was not complaining ?
Review 57:Locality, clean
Review 58:Front desk could know a little more of the facilities around Albury and what facilities the Quest offers, when asked if there were any food delivery services the answer I got was "I don't know I don't eat take away"
Review 59:Large room
Review 60:Nothing to do with Quest. Upon leaving car park through an adjoining car park which was being setup with market stalls. Had to ask a man to move his car so we could exit, he was very put out by my request and quiet rude.
Review 61:Nice clean and very comfortable. Good deal on booking.com.
Review 62:Restaurant charges 10% on meals without telling you and doesn't appear on reciet but pops up on final statement. Could legally get money back if I wanted as I have reciets to prove everything, but couldn't be bothered. Staff couldn't either. Won't be staying at any Quest properties in future. Sink drain half blocked.
Review 63:Don't have to stay here again.
Review 64:There was no spa facilities (sauna. Steam room etc)
Review 65:The staff were lovely & very helpful. Situated in a perfect location close to the heart of the town.
Review 66:No breakfast included for the price we paid during our 2 night stay was pretty disappointing and the car parking facilities are what I would call sub standard at best!
Review 67:Rooms were good and comfortable and staff were friendly.
Review 68:Nothing dramatic but we went to our room on first floor with a few things. Get to door, card didnt work to get in. Had to go back down and get a new one. Doesnt work if you put the card near mobile phones apparently.
Review 69:Place was nice and clean and simple. Pretty quiet. Comfortable. Worth the money. Had everything we needed.
Review 70:2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms with a living area in the middle, we had privacy, luxury and it was comfortable! We asked for an early check in and a late check out and we got it!
Review 71:We could not read books or newspapers with the worst lighting of any accommodation we have ever stayed in. The water pressure in the shower was pitiful. Conserving energy costs obviously the priority - not customer experience.
Review 72:The location.
Review 73:First room TV did not work, changed rooms. Second room, woken at 3am by next door, can hear much noise through the adjoining door. King bed - Comfortable but can feel the join.
Review 74:Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms and building is clean and modern.
Review 75:Pay for WiFi No bath No food and beverage outlets that were open. Room was above entrance so heard people coming in and out.
Review 76:Staff. Frendly. Close to shops Easy parking
Review 77:We booked this hotel for one night as we drove from Sydney to Victoria. It was lovely. Very clean, great location, so handy to everything that we have booked again for our return journey home later this week. Would recommend this hotel to travellers.
Review 78:A little understaffed - we had to wait to check in while the manager was away from the desk helping someone else. Also the fold out bed wasn't made up as requested.
Review 79:Great location, comfortable beds and very new apartments. Would definitely stay again.
Review 80:The modern art work in room 311B does not fit the rest of the room. It fights the calming décor of the room. And there was a weird smell near the lifts I think vomit was on the carpet in the morning I had to point it out to the cleaners. I also disliked the magnetised shower door. Can clearly hear people in the hallway you need better sound insulation.
Review 81:The furnishings and colouring was lovely.
Review 82:The shower was terrible - difficult to get the shampoo out of your hair because of the water saving fitting. Lots of hallway noise. Room service limited. Not near other restaurants. Car park not secure.
Review 83:It was warm.
Review 84:The balcony faced a double storey car park. It was very busy on the Sunday morning with a car boot market. Very noisy. Although I would not include this comment in our overall rating. We love the Quest; next time we will just ask not for a balcony on that side.
Review 85:We stay at the Quest whenever we visit Albury due to the location and friendly staff. It was a lovely surprise to be up graded to an executive apartment with a balcony on this visit. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you for your hospitality.
Review 86:We had a problem with the door to our apartment as it did not shut properly. Also the Safe in the Room did not work. We were told that they could not do anything to fix the problems until Monday and as they were fully booked out we could not be shifted to another room.
Review 87:Not given extra pillows and room service made us feel it was such a nuisance. Also long weekend, they don't ever do rooms on Sunday but didn't do on Saturday either (public holiday), 2 days is not acceptable for a serviced apartment. Cooking facilities very basic and small, laundrette downstairs but not commercial dryer (very slow)
Review 88:Very nice courteous reception staff, very obliging.
Review 89:Nothing not to like. Would stay there again.
Review 90:One-bed apartment clean, spacious and well-appointed Comfortable mattress Quiet Restaurants nearby Good overall value
Review 91:Check in was acceptable, check out the lady was rude and it was quite obvious she was just not happy to be working on a Saturday morning.
Review 92:Location is great. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Review 93:the view of the air-conditioning units on the roof right outside our window and their noise. If they were further back a screen could be positioned in front and plants placed in containers to improve the view .Car park was full but we didn't know we could use the other area.
Review 94:room was modern , clean and had everything we needed except a coffee machine.
Review 95:Hotel was extremely noisy, I could hear the people in the ajoining rooms clearly. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable as was the lounge.
Review 96:Staff were excellent, went out of thier way to assist.
Review 97:3 trips back to desk to get key to enter room.ill husband waiting to lie down. Long walk along corridor and each time the male at the desk implied it was my fault. Not enough disabled parking. Enter to and from car park difficult
Review 98:The was a coffee plunger but no ground coffee?? The milk portion provided was TINY! No biscuits?? Only 2 towels in the bathroom- no spares.
Review 99:The room was well equipped with a full sized fridge, kitchen, washing machine etc which was awesome and the room size was really generous with plenty of space
Review 100:We had issues with booking. It was significantly cheaper on booking.com than speaking to the manager for reservations for our friends wedding. Also no one was at the front desk when we arrived. between parking the car and getting to our room was around half an hour. The hotel was busy and they were understaffed
Review 101:Clean quiet comfortable apartment
Review 102:Found a bit expensive with no breakfast available , ran out of milk and tea .! . Asked to pay account by efposs . Office charged credit card !
Review 103:No code No was given to retrieve key. had to get night clerk to come and let us in at 2-15 am ..he was sooo nice , full marks to him !............( Easter traffic hold up ) had informed office we would arrive late ..
Review 104:Room was small. TV was small. View from window was concrete & air conditioner condensers. So also noisy. There were 2 seats & a rubbish bin right outside my window. It seem staff sit there for their break. I asked 3 times for it to be removed to no avail. Won't be staying here again. I stayed here for 5 nights. Often there was not parking spots available.
Review 105:Room was clean & comfortable.
Review 106:The best bit about our stay was that I left a few clothes behind and asked them to post them back to me which they did and they didn't even charge me for the postage! Now that's good customer service!
Review 107:Upon checking in the staff member was quiet rude, and could not find any paperwork regarding my reservation even though I had booking reference through email which I showed him. The rooms were decent, however the corridor and lobby smelt unclean. Parking was "offered" however we had to park in a public car park as the secured car park was full.
Review 108:The bed was comfortable.
Review 109:Felt it was slightly overpriced but did travel to the area on a busy weekend. Car park was a little pokey for our large 4x4.
Review 110:Excellent location 1 block from Main Street, clean and comfortable rooms.
Review 111:My partner and I needed a place to stay in between picking up a new vehicle and going to the patisserie. It was our first proper time away as a couple in 5 1/2 years and I'm glad we picked quest for our stay. Best nights sleep in a long time
Review 112:Exit from the car park is interesting.
Review 113:Privacy, Hot water at a good pressure with no water flow inhibitors that result in water wastage or a poor shower experience. Full size dinning table and kitchen. Its what I come to expect from Quest and they deliver each time
Review 114:Cups in cupboard weren't washed and all had lipstick marks or drink stains in them. Televison pixellated to the extend it was barely watchable.
Review 115:Parking was very restricted and lucky to get a park there. Would like to see allocated spots for rooms.
Review 116:a most central spot to stop for the weekend in Albury whilst seeing local shows. Lovely quiet room.
Review 117:The Sunday markets are held right next door to the Quest apartments every Sunday morning. The food at the adjoining Manhattan restaurant was amazing! The staff @Quest were very friendly and helpful.
Review 118:Where to start... king bed for two single mature ladies'. Room was booked as twin'. Extremely sparsely furnished exec. Suite.. TV point in bedroom but TV gone' very small TV in lounge, no free to air or movie channels', looked like a nhalf furnished room... no notepad, pen, our room was wayyyyy up the end of the building... found this painful as a marathon back to reception or out of the motel actually hurt my injured body, Have stayed at quest many many times at different locations and was very impressed, even here in different rooms was OK but upgraded to an exec suite and for the. High price was extremely disappointed. No more Albury quest for us.
Review 119:Leaving the accommodation...
Review 120:Quest Albury is very well located for the centre of town, clean and modern, and with good facilities (kitchen, washing machine etc.) We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay on the way from Sydney to Melbourne.
Review 121:Only stayed one night!
Review 122:Excellent customer service from the female with dark drown hair that checked us in and out of the hotel !. Received a courtesy call from management during our stay which was nice. Fantastic spacious rooms.
Review 123:The advert in booking. Com boasted a swimming pool at this hotel. I paid $290 presuming that this meant that the swimming pool was on site. Instead, we were given passes to the public swimming pool, 30minute walk from the hotel. As I said DISGUSTED. Will not be using booking.com again, not staying at Quest
Review 124:It provided a roof over our heads and a bed that was clean.
Review 125:Could pay a bit more attention to small but irritating details - both towel hooks on the bathroom door were broken.
Review 126:Being a newish facility, this Quest Apartment was clean and light, which is always nice. Lots of undercover parking was good as it was raining when we arrived.
Review 127:A long wait for the elevators if checking in during housekeeping time as there are no service lifts.we booked two rooms and were not on the same floor, there was not a bed for our teenage nephew when it was made clear that there are three of us and the reservation was under a different name.
Review 128:The menue in the cafe on site was limited
Review 129:We stayed with our 1 year old on our way from Melbourne to Sydney. It was perfect. We'll be staying again. Quiet rooms, great facilities and super clean.
Review 130:That wifi isnt free all the time!
Review 131:They have just renovated or are in the process and the new layout is great! It is like a little studio apartment. Being an Interior Designer myself I was really happy with the carpet upgrade and the new funky chair! The new couches are comfortable too. I have stayed about four times here in Albury and it is just very easy, clean, lovely and located in a great area with good secure parking.
Review 132:On arrival - was an empty water jug in the fridge. Empty Ice in the freezer. Couldn't get bottle of wine from room services - not licensed. Out side area had an ashtray that was overflowing with butts - looked like it had been there a few days. Over priced for the facilities they have to offer.
Review 133:Was spacious Bed was comfortable Location was central Went to the tappas bar - excellent Had breakfast at Manhattens - excellent
Review 134:Messy carpet outside lift. Was a Sunday afternoon/evening, so perhaps no cleaning staff on call.
Review 135:Exemplary staff at check in and check out. Extremely welcoming, friendly & efficient.
Review 136:The fact that my room's power failed, the room temp sored and I had to relocate to another room at 0400hrs, before presenting the following morning at a conference that I had travelled (driven) from Melbourne for.
Review 137:The great bed linen and the puffy mattress top. One of the most comfortable motel beds I've experienced.
