Reviews for Soul Vacation Resort & Spa
Review 1:Wifi was not working with Apple but did work with android. I was envious of my wife as she had access and I didn't. Slightly far from Panjim so if you like to visit the casino, this would not be a great option. But it take 1 hour to get there.
Review 2:We had a luxury suite and the family suite as we were 5 adults and a child. The ambience was excellent, Great tranquility and peace Proximity to the beach was brilliant. Staff were friendly and assisted whenever required. Overall, we had a lovely time and had nothing to complain about. If you like to relax and have a laid back holiday there is no better place than Soul vacation.
Review 3:Gloomy room on ground floor with little privacy, although spent little time there.
Review 4:Proximity to beach and central Goa location. Free yoga etc for those so inclined.
Review 5:The resort is an Oasis of luxury in the resort, Colva, which really is the most unattractive beach & resort visited in Goa.. I've been south & north Goa, stayed in 6 different beach resorts. The beach is full of stray dogs, it's dirty. The neighboring resort of Benaulim is much nicer, the beach much much cleaner & generally more pleasant.
Review 6:This resort is stunning, fantastic pool albeit small! The rooms are lovely, bathroom spacious & a hot shower.
Review 7:Nothing except this hotel has set the bar rather high for the next places we visit in Kochin and Delhi. You won't be disappointed if your experience is anything like ours.
Review 8:Secluded area off the main road into Colva south of Goa. Stress drips away as we descended from the airport towards the coast. Big well appointed rooms welcomed us. Wonderful bathroom shower set up with room for two! Great staff that aimed to please and were wonderfully accommodating when asked for anything but we're not in your face all the time. Breakfast was excellent and maitre d' was full of life. Proximity to beach was great without being in the thick of the place. A short walk into the village, bank, shops and vendors every where.
Review 9:The beach nearby is ordinary, but we just stayed at the Resort mostly!
Review 10:Loved the family suite and the whole resort! Gorgeous surrounds, tastefully done! The spa was excellent! I ended up having two massages and they were amazing!
Review 11:Would prefer (and pay a little extra) for always on Wi-Fi, instead of having to remember token info for everyday.
Review 12:Everything, except the Wi-Fi set-up. Everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay excellent, especially Alfredo and the restaurant staff.
Review 13:This small resort is just around the corner from the beach, has a nice pool and spacious well furnished and very clean rooms. The food is good and there are plenty of nice seafood restaurants nearby. The free yoga classes in the morning are a treat. We wish we'd stayed longer.
Review 14:I had a body massage, the lady who massaged me was not well trained and could not communicate in English. The massage room was dark & dingy.
Review 15:Staff were very friendly & helpful. The pool area was well maintained & lovely to use.
Review 16:I had no reply following my query how to get from the airport to the hotel, even though this was easily organised on the way back. Upon arrival the washbasin was dirty. Everything else was fine.
Review 17:Fantastic staff, very good Ayuverdic consultation and great curries. Also my request for a 1st floor room was met.
Review 18:Except room everything else is horrible, room service is the worst . We have to keep on reminding them for every 15/20 mins for the status of the order. Sometimes, funny thing is staff said ordered food had already served to our room. I've called SPA reception for steam bath and no one responded to the call.
Review 19:Room is spacious with two bedrooms which is quite enough for 4 people.
Review 20:Swimming pool rules are a bit lax and you've, sadly, people jumping in wearing just about anything. This is guys in taking about. One was wearing a towel!!
Review 21:Very nice property. Good food and but overpriced if you keep in mind where you are and what you're munching
Review 22:Take an upstairs room. Downstairs rooms are not very private with windows and doors opening onto communal areas. Also don't have any sitting area (such as a balcony) but we had a great stay and staff were amazing :)
Review 23:Staff were amazing and we had a great stay.
Review 24:Very nice decor of the resort. The staff was friendly and room was clean. Breakfast was great. Was decently close to the beach however a direct entry to beach would have been fantastic.
Review 25:nothing
Review 26:Amazing property value for money.Rooms Spacious neat and clean .Staff friendly.Food has a variety of choices and slightly high priced.Overall rating i will still give 10 because wonderful place.
Review 27:It would have been nice if they could have provided WiFi.
Review 28:The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully laid out. The ambiance was excellent. We had breakfast during our stay there. It was very sumptuous and filling.
Review 29:The hotel was very comfortable, the room was very clean with a nice sofa-coffee table and desk area. The grounds were calm and well kept, very green with lovely plants, and the swimming pool was refreshing. We were just a 5-minute walk to the beach and there were some very nice quiet spots a little ways north. We ate quite a few meals at the hotel restaurant, which has a very varied menu and some excellent dishes (especially the kebabs and Lebanese specialties). The staff there took great care of us.
Review 30:small technical issues (water went out, electricity went out, AC liking at night) the birds (crows) all around the pool and breakfast area colva town: less busy area of Goa, no longer than 4/5 days on site chargeable wifi but this is to change soon
Review 31:the pool ! the taste of hotel decoration very, very nice people managing the hotel who answer any question the calm that allows to sleep even you have a hard time great breakfasts in the morning you can trust it including juice and fruits great restaurant (sea pearl) across the street in terms of quality for the price
Review 32:Having to pay for WiFi,
Review 33:Staff were very friendly but with respect. Food was very nice and good value for money. Just far enough away from the noisy main strip. Excellent stay
Review 34:Gym was poor only 3 running machines and a set of weights the spa is outdated the spa baths looked yellow! So gave them a miss! Other than that great hotel
Review 35:Lovely hotel - one of the best in the area for the value Breakfast was good in the morning, staff very helpful Rooms are large and everything you need. 10 mins walk up the road to the beach
Review 36:Peaceful and relaxing with a lovely pool area, outside as well as inside dining areas (great variety breakfast buffet, with cooked-on-the-spot choice of eggs; plus good menus choices for all-day dining). Spacious rooms with sitting area (comfy beds, lots of English movie channels, good wi-fi, and a mini bar)… and always hot showers. The staff members are attentive, friendly and professional – from the reception desk to the kitchen staff and housekeeping. The location could not be better – close to the main street with lots of restaurant/cafes, shops, and a mere few blocks to the beach. It is our 3rd visit to Colva Beach and we found a winner in this hotel/resort/spa – highly recommended
Review 37:-Pool gets closed from evenings inspite of having enough light -Could not open ground floor room's window blinds, because of big windows where everyone can see us inside. So guests have to choose between privacy or sunlight during the day.
Review 38:+Close to Colva Beach +Parking available +Spotlessly clean Quite and peaceful surroundings +Very good and spacious rooms +Nice separate dressing space +Great bathroom +Good quality toiletries +Good Breakfast with lots of choices
Review 39:We arrived at the hotel at 3am to find that the bed sheet was stained, the safe did not work, there was a light in the room we could not turn off (I ended up removing the bulb), the mini bar was not stocked and worst of all the room had been freshly painted and it had a very strong smell. Unfortunately due to the time we had arrived had to put up with it until the morning. Then at 8am the staff started cutting trees down outside our room and woke us up. To given them their due, in the morning the manager swiftly moved our room to another room which was better and eventually they supplied the batteries to get the safe going. The breakfast is an interesting spread of indian and western foods. Its should be very good but unfortunately it seems to go cold so you end up with cold curry or cold baked beans for breakfast which is not as appetising as it could have been. The free coffee is also terrible, it tastes like watered down hot milk. You can buy 'machine coffee' at breakfast for around 125 inr (£1.30). This is about 2-3 times more than cafe's elsewhere. The wifi at this place is crazily expensive (400 inr (£4.3) per 24hrs). This might not sound like too much if you are from europe but believe me, you can live for a day on 400 inr (£4.4) elsewhere in india. If you are staying here, the boomerang cafe round the corner will give you free wifi if you ask nicely and buy some drinks. To be fair to the hotel we arrived before the start of the season. I expect there was some staff training being undertaken and some refurbishment's happening in preparation for the rush. Although this shouldn't have really effected our stay, I expect they will get their game together soon. The bottom line is that if you are booked into this hotel, I expect you will have a nice time and enjoy your stay. It just seems to be off the mark on a couple of things, especially given the price and the apparent target market.
Review 40:The rooms are stylishly put together and are clean and tidy and big for the price. The bathrooms and also clean and have beautiful tiles, the shower is in a separate cubical which is a nice touch and somewhat unusual for hotels in India. The pool also looks clean and tidy and the beach is just a few minutes walk away. There are an incredible number of staff at this hotel. For example when I checked out it took four people at the reception. One instructing, one carrying it out and two observing. There is a similar situation at breakfast and although the staff are really friendly and try to be helpful, some how it doesn't quite hit the mark. My wife and I ended up referring to this place as an upmarket, plush, well kept, faulty towers.
Review 41:Small room was musty, so we had to pay extra money for bigger room. There were most mosquitos of all west coast we have been to from Bombay to Allepey.
Review 42:Bigger room in the first floor has clean design, has balcony and is very spacious.
Review 43:The spa seems to be bit costlier compared to the non-ac set-up they offered with bamboo hut structures.
Review 44:We had a lovely stay from 12th to 16th August, 2014 at Soul. I was travelling with my wife and 2 years old daughter. We stayed at a deluxe premier room in Soul. The room had a lovely layout with simple but pleasant decor. The behaviour of staff was also very lovely and helpful. Took a i-20 for self-drive from the hotel itself at a very good rate. The restaurant was also good although the sea –food options are bit limited. But one cannot complain as the Colva beach is at 5 minutes walking distance with great sea-food options. Otherwise the quality of food was pretty good.
Review 45:Just so good
Review 46:The luxury room was big and spacious.
Review 47:Good ambience Serene Coo -operative staff Manager Mr Rajesh was very co operative
Review 48:The calm, the location close to the beach, the staff, the setting.
Review 49:Not a thing.
Review 50:The resort was small and friendly. Very good service in all departments, particularly the restaurant.

Review 63:gr8 on food. neat and clean place.
Review 64:The hotel staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is very clean. We had a nice stay for 2 days and were advised well by the staff.
Review 65:Rooms are small.Booked family room .But it had two small rooms with beds only.No space for walikng at all
Review 66:Ambience,pool
Review 67:Breakfast
Review 68:Location and cleanliness
Review 69:This vacation resort is excatly like the pictures and perfect for a relaxing get away.Highly recommended affordable place
Review 70:Not enough lounge chairs at the pool. No direct beach access.
Review 71:Lovely serene hideaway away from the mayhem of India.
Review 72:Staff was very friendly
Review 73:Nothing
Review 74:Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 75:Everything, I would recommend others to visit this hotel if going to Colva, Goa.
Review 76:Internet didn't work. Whilst the food was delicious they didn't once get my order right.
Review 77:Well air conditioned spacious rooms with comfortable beds.
Review 78:There is no direct entry point into the beach from the resort. It's a short walk though, but a direct entry would be really cool.
Review 79:Extremely stylishly done with a focus on peace, quiet and relaxation. Staff was extremely helpful and prompt. Excellent place to stay in comfort.
Review 80:We arrived at the hotel but our room was not ready so we had to waitquite a while this was not taken onto account when we paid The room wewere eventually given was not the best as it was tucked away from anysun making it very dark the rooms are dated The pool needed cleaning
Review 81:On the whole the staff were lovely very helpfulness
Review 82:In one word a very nice place which impressed us. The room was huge and super clean with all the facilities included. The stuff was smiling and nice. A walk of just 7/10 minutes brings you to the spectacular Cova beach thus the resort is in a strategic position.
Review 83:The pool seemed kind of dirty. Breakfast was poor, not a good selection.
Review 84:Big and nice looking rooms.
Review 85:Loved our stay here! would definitely come back
Review 86:friendly staff
