Reviews for Alpaca Farm

Review 1:Extremly friendly staff and a wonderful location. We definitely coming back. The rooms are nice and clean and big enough but the place shines with its animals and the kids can help feeding them. It is the perfect get away for families with smaller children.

Review 2:Although I would not call this a bad experience, you need to pack light as the trail up to the rooms is a bit cumbersome with heavy luggage.

Review 3:The Alpaca Farm was excellent. Staff was very courteous and did what they could to make our stay enjoyable, sorry to say we were only there for one night. Horseback riding was fun except for one passage on the way back, very small opening for the horses. Breakfast was outstanding.

Review 4:bungalows are already a bit older and are located on a farm -> you need to take it into account when deciding to book

Review 5:excellent breakfasts different style of accomodation in comparison to "standard" hotels

Review 6:It was absolutely new experience for us to stay at this amazing farm!..The magnificent beauty of the surrounding area, our beautiful suite on the hill and watching the farm life made such a big impression on us!..It was so fun to have a possibility to feed the animals and observe them as well, especially for children. All the staff is very friendly, kind and helpful and love their work so much. Special thanks to the incredibly delicious breakfast which was served on the terrace of our guest house!

Review 7:Amazing place to stay and get to know the desert. Friendly and knowledgable staff with a passion for the area and the animals. despite being 30 I still thoroughly enjoyed walking around and feeding the goats, alpacas and other animals.

Review 8:Vicuña was clearly sad and alone and alienated by alpacas. Isn't it cruel to keep a vicuña (a wild animal after all) on a farm without other specimens of it species?

Review 9:- delicious breakfast delivered to my room - welcome beer - super cute alpacas - super cute llamas - super cute goats - super cute camels - super cute pig - friendly donkeys, also super cute - super cute dogs - super cute kittens - even humans were cute - terrace shaded by grapes - desert! - silence! - a swing! - everything else.

Review 10:-nothing

Review 11:We had a warm welcome from the moment we arrived and continued throughout our 2 night stay. The room was very comfortable, with a rustic design with all the things you need to make a simple lunch or dinner. The delicious breakfast was brought to us in the morning so we were able to enjoy it on the porch, take our time and enjoy the goings on of the farm and desert feelings. Our seven year old was out the door the minute she woke up, hanging with the 18 friendly dogs on the farm, as well as adventuring around. There's a 20 minute walk to a swing with a good vantage point and we also took the 1.5 hour horse ride to the Crater. Alex was friendly, informative and a great host and guide and patient with our seven year old's curiosities and questions. Go you will love it!

Review 12:The new owners don't seem to quite have everything fully organized. The very young staff weren't prepared for our arrival, and promised to kick-off activities that didn't happen or were delayed. We had a fun time, but the place seemed like it's still growing into itself...

Review 13:Very unusual place to stay on a farm with alpaca, horses, sheep and geese. Cool location, comfortable accommodation and delicious breakfast.

Review 14:Peopel did not adviced about the necessity of taking care of alpacas's reaction on proximity of another one, because one of my children fall down when alpaca lifted up in his back feet, very good she was wearing helmet, but it could be serious problem. Also, needs to be advice to make an appointment in advance for riding horses.

Review 15:Children may be running free. They the availavility for riding donkeys and alpacas. Children enjoy it very much. Also, the posibility to practice equitation, and know how about the alpaca's wood for kniting caps, socks, etc.

Review 16:It's not that I didn't like it, but I would prefer a little improvement on the oven and stove. Preferably a stand alone stove/oven. However what is there is fully functional and we still enjoyed everything.

Review 17:The whole experience and location is good for the body and soul.

Review 18:The hammock on the porch, the warm welcome, fresh milk in the fridge, cookies and tea ... The breakfast was brought to the cabin synchronized with the feeding of the alpacas and the camel in plain view :-)

Review 19:The rooms are VERY modern and well maintained. They are rustic with all modern comforts and amenities. My kids LOVEd all the animals and dogs and horses. Our hour back ride was highlight of our trip and the best experience for the kids. The cottages are comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was great. Alex, thank you for giving my kids such great experience!

Review 20:Amazing, special place. The cabin was beautiful, the breakfasts absolutely delicious- the whole experience was truly unique and so much fun.

Review 21:No current WiFi.

Review 22:Staff was very friendly.

Review 23:Lovely cabin, friendly staff, great place for the kids to feed the animals

Review 24:Nothing.

Review 25:Everyone was very helpful and kind.

Review 26:Nice stuff, cute animals, great breakfast and Maktesh Ramon, of course!

Review 27:The staff was excellent and very helpful, Great with the kids and planty activities to do in the farm. Many thanks.

Review 28:Wonderful people. Great location for hiking in Maktesh Ramon.

Review 29:Lack of WiFi.

Review 30:Location

Review 31:Wonderful location, we had a nice and very confortable bungalow with a very beautiful environment. Staff very kind, rich breakfast served on the private balcony. As the name suggests in the farm there are alpacas, lamas, goats and a lot of nice animals.

Review 32:This is a perfect place for a family with children but being child-like ourselves, we loved it. We were up at dawn to help feed the alpaca before the "tourists" arrived and enjoyed being away from city lights so we could stargaze at night around a fire-pit. But the alpaca, horses, llama and other animals are the draw. My only regret was not getting there soon enough to go on a horseback ride into the surrounding desert hills. This is a "bring your own dinner" destination but the breakfast is amazingly plentiful and delivered to your door.

Review 33:Alpacas. Full stop. There are hundreds of these animals on the farm, also llamas, horses, donkeys, sheep and goats. You can walk around and feed them if you want. Other than that, the house was nicely furnished and spacious. There is a stove and cooking utensils - if you plan to stay for a while, you can cook your own food. The farm is only a 10 minute drive away from Mitzpe Ramon, but the city is completely hidden by mountains so you can enjoy the silence and starry skies. They also offer horse rides or you can roam around the hills on your own.

Review 34:Nothing whatsoever.

Review 35:The Alpaca Farm was charming, it was an extremely pleasant and relaxing experience. From our lovely and comfortable bungalow, we had a wonderful view on the farm animals (lamas, alpacas, horses, camels ...). And the staff was friendly and helpful.
