Reviews for Hotel Capomulini
Review 1:Location by the beach, which was kindly said uncleaned! Room was 200 metres from main building in the lonely street, the enter was directly from the street, so you can not open the door to refresh the room, no other window...
Review 2:The double bed was two singles butted against each other. No mattress protectors - just a sheet on a bare mattress. The annex sea view accommodation was very poor, fronting directly on to the road. No sound insulation at all. Could hear the neighbours shower, toilet as if it was in our room. Very scruffy outlook. Breakfast was in the main hotel and poor. Hot water in a thermos that was tepid. Staff did not replenish any breakfast items unless asked.
Review 3:The fact that it was very close to our friend's house in Capomulini.
Review 4:Very good restaurants within very short walking distance of hotel. Fishing bay/village very quiet and relaxed. All staff - always smiling. .
Review 5:We liked everything. Rooms are equipped with all the necessities, breakfast is varied and good and staff especially the receptionist is very helpful.
Review 6:The hotel was nice, with clean and spacious room and bathroom. The place was quiet, even though our room overlooked the street, we didn't hear any noise at night. There was mini fridge in the room and also safe box. The breakfast was good, including some meat and cheese. They have small private gated parking, which was what we needed. We didn't encounter any problem during our stay and would recommend this hotel.
Review 7:Internet was rather slow, the breakfast's selection could have been a bit wider. During the evening it's hard to find parking spots on the street where the annex rooms are, but in this case there is the free hotel parking 100 meters away.
Review 8:Staff was very nice, and welcomed us with a cup of coffee on arrival. Calm location on a seafront street (Annex rooms). Good starting point towards Etna or the north. Good atmosphere.
Review 9:Stepping inside we noticed poky, musty smell in the room and slightly shoddy/tired in parts. Gloomy room - the interior design should be in brightened colors. Our opinion is not worthy of a four star hotel.
Review 10:Helpful staff, car parking, good breakfast, good location.
Review 11:I booked this hotel because the price was good and it was vaguely in the area I wanted to visit. I wasn't disappointed. The hotel hadn't opened its own restaurant yet (it has recently changed management) but there were many excellent restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful
Review 12:Despite all advantages this is definately not four star hotel: rooms are not soundproof enough, shampoo and soap dosers in bathroom not refilled
Review 13:Courtyard parking, helpful and open staff
Review 14:Although the hotel is clean with beautiful architecture, we were a bit confused as to why it was a 4-star hotel. The bed was mediocre (not particularly comfortable), and I'm a huge fan of recycling, but our shampoo bottle was half-used for a 4-star hotel! Also, the glass in our shower door was falling apart. Overall, an average place (no views of the ocean).
Review 15:The hotel was a good value for the money, although we did come during the off-season. It is a couple of strides away from the beach and many touristy restaurants (although the beach did not seem as lovely as Taormina). The breakfast was average but plentiful (croissants, toast, cereal, fruit).
Review 16:- please guys, even basic English is very important if you work in a place like hotel :)
Review 17:- really nice and clean room with beatiful, historical ceiling - parking with gates (this hotel is perfect if you travel by car) - great staff - amazing restaurants nearby - try Il Porticciolo, the best meal we had on Sicily - 3min walk to the beach (although beaches near Acireale are rather small and dirty)
Review 18:Our first visit under new management and some of the rooms had a problem with hot water. Things that happen and staff were very apologetic. I do not like the bread they serve for b'fast.
Review 19:It's location, friendly staff, parking facility, quaint rooms and very comfortable beds
Review 20:Nice characteristic hotel with great WiFi in the room. Also very helpful and friendly staff.
Review 21:Location to reach it is not so easy.
Review 22:Rooms are comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast.
Review 23:Staff very helpful, hotel within walking distance to some good restaurants near the sea.
Review 24:It was a little hard to find our apartments. Thanks to local people, they helped.
Review 25:Great and professional service. Nice view from our apartments.
Review 26:fantastic location of the dependance, great for a summer vacation
Review 27:Truly enjoyed staying at Hotel Capomulini - which served as a very friendly and convenient base for cycling up and down the slopes of Mt Etna.
