Reviews for Succah in the Desert
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:What an experience. This is not a luxury hotel, it is a real desert experience. In this category, this is really such a find. If you want to live in the desert and feel the night embrace you you come here. If you can't deal with rustic but comfortable/artful conditions and a composting toilet, don't come here. If you want to eat amazing home cooked food and see stars to the horizon and meet really interesting people who drive deep into the desert to touch the black of the heavens, then this is nirvana!
Review 3:-The beds could really be more comfortable (they were very hard). And for the price we were paying one would expect that you do not have to make them yourselves before you turn in. -We did not receive any towels. -It was not possible to buy anything. A bottle of wine and some snacks would have been nice.
Review 4:Located at a beautiful desolate spot in the desert, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and a delicious breakfast.
Review 5:Off the beaten path, and a bit difficult to get to given the unpaved road, Sukkah in the Desert offers people who want something a bit unusual a quiet, secluded, peaceful and culturally/aesthetically different environment. As you can see on their website, the rooms are decorated with brightly bedouin colored rugs and low light. The bathroom and washing facilties are in an outhouse. But nothing can beat the feeling of being in the desert and the breakfast was sumptuous. The staff were very low key and helpful and the surrounding grounds were filled with beautiful flowers, farm animals and a vegetable garden. If this is your thing, then staying here will be a welcome treat.
Review 6:This place is not for everyone - huts are comfortable but there is running water only outside of one toilet and in the shower area.
Review 7:Location is great for a spectacular visit to the Ramon Crater and Negev. Very enjoyable hosts and terrific food (and plentiful!) Our group consisted of a fit 70 year old, 5 adults and 3 kids. We all really enjoyed being here - stargazing and hiking.
Review 8:We stayed for 2 nights - if you enjoy camping, hiking, solitude, and being "off the grid," you'll probably love this place. Recommended items - read the website recommendations - we found wipes and a towel useful. If you're there Thu-Sat nights, get the dinner for at least one night - it was excellent.
Review 9:Location was next to an army shooting range and the soldiers shot all night long

Review 17:It is a quiet place to relax, to be in the nature of the desert. Friendly reception by the owners of the succot.
Review 18:It's a long haul to your succah from the parking area if you are shlepping bags or a suitcase. Ask for an ATV ride.
Review 19:Unbelieveable desert landscape. Homey, rustic huts with clean comfortable bedding. Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast.
Review 20:Succah in the Desert is a magical, serene place far off the beaten path. Our succah was wonderfully rustic and comfortable. The staff is warm and friendly, and the home-cooked vegetarian meals are delicious. Highly recommend getting off the grid and treating yourself to the wonderfully authentic simplicity of Succah in the Desert.
Review 21:It is a bit expensive but unique.
Review 22:This was first of all an experience of sleeping in the desert - first time in my life. If you are looking for something unusual and ecological - this place is for you. The staff is really very helpful and friendly. The breakfast - big and tasty. Also the place is very well situated if you want to see Mitzpe Ramon.
Review 23:The drive to the location is quite rocky and very dark but I guess it comes with the territory, literally. It's also very dark, which is ok if you BRING A FLASHLIGHT.
Review 24:Amazing place for someone who wants to break away and live in the heart of the desert! Serene atmosphere, wonderful breakfast, very unique cabins, and desert all around... amazing.

Review 27:Amazing place in an amazing location. Not a good place to stay for those who are not happy without all of the comforts of home, but perfect for anyone who likes camping and rustic conditions. For us, it was a magical place and I would love to return.
Review 28:Succah in the Desert is not just an hotel or an accomodation. It is anoverwhelming unforgettable experience that will stay with you for a verylong time: the wilderness, the landscape, the silence, the view willmake are worth spending a night or two (or more if you wish to explorethe Negev) in this place. The sukkot is beautiful and well equipped. Theowner is an excellent cook! (The dinner was excellent, one of the bestwe had during our trip to Israel).
