Reviews for Padua B&B

Review 1:No bad experience whatsoever

Review 2:Greeted upon arrival by the owner! She was so accommodating to us we have a 2 year old and 3 month old. She had a travel cot, had the room pre- heated for us (New Years eve night when we arrived) and allowed us to settle up that night as we were away early for the ferry on New Year's Day! Fantastic value for money!! Would definitely stay here again!

Review 3:Owners were extremely welcoming and accommodating to needs. They were available when needed but also very unobtrusive. Breakfast was fantastic value for money, freshly cooked and great selection. Room was very clean and comfortable, also use of lounge if required. One word of advice.....bring transport although taxi drivers were very cheap and very cheerful.

Review 4:I have managed to get many televisions to function round the world but the one in my room winked a red light at me all night.. I gave up.

Review 5:Gale blowing outside but cosy, warm and dry inside on a bad November night. Breakfast was a treat and leaving the house at 7.50 I was on board the ferry at 8.00.Hard to fault.

Review 6:Perfectly placed for catching the morining ferry to Pembroke, friendly host, lovely breakfast at the time of my choosing, nice rooms and good value too - an all round top notch B&B

Review 7:The duvet cover was a satin fabric and kept slipping off the bed, the bottom sheet was ill fitting and rucked up, disrupting sleep. Should be easy to fix.

Review 8:Everything except the bed linen, lovely, lovely place and we would certainly return if the linen was sorted out.

Review 9:Just what we hoped for. easy to locate: very friendly hostess: room plenty big enough: comfy bed: plenty of wardrobe & chest of drawer space for a few days stay: nice views (from the upstairs room) No disturbing noise from N25. Nice tea, coffee & biscuits; room (electric) lighting plenty good enough to be able to read by. Large flat screen TV: quality shower gel and shampoo provided. Hot (electric) shower. Great breakfast: plenty of (off road) parking.

Review 10:had a fantastic overnight stop on the way to the ferry, beds comfy, really clean rooms and a brilliant breakfast, would definately stay there again, and really recommend it.

Review 11:Wish I had a car during this part of my journey.

Review 12:Hosts were very accommodating to my needs. Lovely room; comfy bed; and wonderful breakfast. They also arranged for my taxi to the ferry.

Review 13:If I had to nit pick I could say that the washbasin in the en-suite bathroom was rather small but this would be unfair on the owners who have produced a superb B&B.

Review 14:This an outstanding B&B in all respects. The breakfast was fabulous - not only plenty of excellent food but arranged in such an artistic way.

Review 15:(Not a bad experience at all - just to note that they are a bit further up the main road from Rosslare than possibly expected - so keep going but still very close and accessible. They are just a bit further up beyond the pubs)

Review 16:Everything. Very welcoming, and also they considered our needs when we turned up, i.e. putting us in the back bedroom where it would be quieter as other guests would be leaving early. Lovely rooms, great food, two cats! home from home.

Review 17:Not a single thing

Review 18:Padua was excellent in every way. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated at least 4 star hotel standard. The very friendly welcome was just what we needed after our travels from the uk. Many many thanks

Review 19:Very clean and comfortable facilities. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We could choose the time to have breakfast to suit us and they were happy to provide a vegetarian cooked breakfast for us.

Review 20:The owners were lovely to us and made us feel very welcome. Staying there was a great start to the holiday and on the way back it was nice to know we were staying at the same place as I knew I'd get a good nights sleep there because we all felt very comfortable to be there. Next time we go to Ireland we would stay there again, I wouldn't bother looking around.

Review 21:Leaving!

Review 22:Second time at this B&B, just as good as the first visit. Will certainly be our first choice for an overnight halt before or after the ferry next time we journey to Ireland. Hosts are fantastic, very accommodating and a delicious breakfast to set you up for the day.

Review 23:Nicola, the owner was very pleasant and helpful indeed. Bedrooms were of hotel standard - very well furnished, with very comfortable beds. Good tasty breakfast, with choice of Full Irish or Continental.

Review 24:it was truly a lovely lovely place

Review 25:the little personal touches make all the difference from the meet n greet to the fine touches in the rooms dinning and lounge.

Review 26:I liked everything but I think it would be a good idea to have a couple of tables outside for people who want to spend some time outside or for those who have to go out to smoke

Review 27:The hosts were very nice and helpful. The room was small but pretty

Review 28:The bed was a bit uncomfortable and although the room was perfectly funcionable, it was very small. You can hear the guests coming and going as all wooden flooring.

Review 29:Very friendly host, very professional. Excellent shower and yummy breakfast.

Review 30:We knew the property was on the N30 but there were no signs for this leaving the ferry port so we actually found the property by chance and from their sign. Perhaps more description in the address would help.

Review 31:The owner was very welcoming and discussed our needs with us on arrival. Also she gave us information about the locality where to go and what to see. I would recommend this B&B.

Review 32:The owner was welcoming, friendly and obliging. The property was well laid out, the shower was a dream after having experienced fixed overhead sprays elsewhere. The beds were clean freshly linened. The room was very quiet. It was a restful night prior to the ferry trip to Pembroke. And then there was the lobster pot but more about that elsewhere.

Review 33:Great spot just up the road from the ferry. The place was nice and very clean with friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely recommend the breakfast as well! 100% would stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Review 34:Nothing.

Review 35:Beautiful location with stunning view from my bedroom window. Fixtures and fittings of good quality and spotlessly clean. Very nice breakfast.

Review 36:Everything was excellent

Review 37:Stayed first and last night on our Ireland holiday, first rate quality bedrooms and Irish breakfast, host are very friendly and extremely helpful, will reccommend to friends and stay again when next visiting Rosslare

Review 38:Nothing really. I love a bath but it's probably showers only. Not a problem.

Review 39:Simple welcome no fuss, lovely bedroom and friendly owners. WiFi simple and clear and shower lovely.

Review 40:Nothing was too much for Helen and her family. Evening meal was both delicious and enormous!! As was breakfast the next morning. If we ever sail from Fishguard again will definitely stay again.

Review 41:Can't think of anything I didn't like

Review 42:Lovely room, great location near the Harbour very friendly , delicious Breakfast" glutenfree sausages & Bread" & happy to let me use a hose to clean my bike after a long journey, so have rebooked for on the way bk to harbour, just pleased they had 1 room left

Review 43:Nothing not to like about this lovely B & B.

Review 44:Very convenient for the ferry and within walking distance of some good pubs serving excellent food. Painlessly clean and very well equipped. Fabulous breakfast, very nice hosts and All round excellent value.

Review 45:Easy to find, close to the ferry port; efficiently run; clean and comfortable. Rooms are small but adequate for an overnight stay and breakfast was on time for an early morning start.

Review 46:I stayed with my Mum in a twin room. It was so cosy and clean. The beds were very comfortable and there were nice small refreshments available in the room. It was right near the ferry port, and just what we needed after a lot of travelling!

Review 47:It was an ideal stay as a one night stop over from & to Rosslare at the beginning & end of our Irish holiday. However we would certainly use it as a base to explore the local area for a longer period.

Review 48:Very close to a Rosslare a Harbour. Very comfortable and inexpensive. It was the best value accommodation we had in 5 weeks of travelling. Parking was right outside the building. Shower was good breakfast yummy. It was all good.

Review 49:We had a front bedroom. Road noise can be disturbing. Would ask for rear room next time.

Review 50:Very close to ferry, comfortable and excellent cooked breakfast. Richard & Nicola both very welcoming.

Review 51:We were met and brought to our room, offered breakfast but not a problem that we didn't need it. Biscuits and tea & coffee were well received after a long journey.

Review 52:The friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the property and proximity to the ferry terminal made it an ideal place to stay. The breakfast was excellent, set us up for the day.

Review 53:Close to ferry, only 5 minutes away if even that. Cleanliness was top notch, and the shower was great. Breakfast was excellent. Rich and Nicola were both excellent hosts and ensured our first stay would bring us back, which it would.

Review 54:Everything was perfect.

Review 55:We arrived after travelling from Cardiff quite late with a baby. They were so kind and helpful, lovely people made us feel right at home. The place is lovely, clean, spacious rooms. 100%. We were setting off early the next morning as we had a long drive which they knew, as we were leaving. They had left 2 warm sausage sandwiches for the journey. So thoughtful. We even stayed there on our way back to cardiff. Will definitely be staying there again.

Review 56:Although our stay was brief (one night) we thoroughly enjoyed our hosts' friendliness/hospitality. B&B was easy to get to and close to excellent pubs/restaurants/sights.

Review 57:Nothing

Review 58:The little touches made our stay just that more enjoyable - home made muesli, chocolate biscuits - and show that our hosts want us to have a pleasurable experience. Well done.

Review 59:Room cold and heating had to be requested. Mattresses felt un-aired. Very large number of flies in the room. 17 swatted over an hour and a half. Woke in the morning to find another 15 in the room (windows closed throughout stay). Windy night made a vent in the room very noisy. Owners informed about flies who apologised and stated that room had been insulated after summer and had not been occupied since then. The high average score given by others was why we chose the location. Score suggests a high level of attention to detail which was lacking based on our experience. A basic check of the room before guest arrival would have easily revealed problem with flies and chill in the room. Perhaps we were just unlucky...

Review 60:Well appointed room with respect to facilities and reasonable cleanliness. Good location - direct 10 min (or less) trip to the ferry terminal.

Review 61:Took time to make sure we were all as comfortable as possible. Felt we could really make ourselves at home. Very relaxed never rushed. Will definitely stay again.

Review 62:Struggling to find a negative...bed was a little hard for my needs, but that is down to my dodgy spine and another person might find the same bed blissfully comfortable.

Review 63:We stayed one night on our way from Rosslare to Galway and then on our return to Rosslare for another night. The biscuits with the tea/coffee tray in the room was a thoughtful addition. Problems with hot water in shower were dealt with immediately. Breakfast was available early to suit our departure time for the ferry back to UK. And the breakfast is amazing! Richard does a perfect job, even ensuring that is not fat/oil on the breakfast plate. Very, very tasty meal and in fact, the best breakfast we've ever had in all our travels. Thanks a million, Richard.

Review 64:This B&B was the perfect place to stay after taking the ferry from Wales. Our room was very clean and spacious. We had the full Irish breakfast and it was wonderful.

Review 65:we did room only rate so we did not get to sample the breakfast but am sure it would have been fab too!

Review 66:Beautifullly decorated rooms, very modern, v comfortable beds, tea/ coffee, biscuits and small choc bars in room, very good free wifi connection , host was really friendly even when we arrived late after long journey

Review 67:Rıchard and Nıcola were wonderful hosts and went out of theır way to make our stay enjoyable. We can only say that we were thrılled ın every way wıth our stay. Thank you Sue and Bıll Australıa

Review 68:Didnt know when making the booking that breakfast wasnt included in the price, We left early so wasnt too much of an issue, but might have priced elsewhere if I'd known the price didnt include a meal.

Review 69:Clean room

Review 70:Friendly ,clean and comfortable beds. Ensuite facilities excellent. Good variety of things to have for breakfast. Overall a good stop off on the way to the ferry.

Review 71:Richard and Nicola were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way to help us. They have done a great job upgrading and decorating and is superior. Wonderful bed for a peaceful sleep and spotless ensuite. The full breakfast was delicious plus fruit, cereal, yogurt etc. You would not leave hungry. Wifi,TV, and a very comfortable sitting room. We didn't want to leave. Absolutely would return plus recommend it to any one.

Review 72:Next time I would ask for a room facing away from the road. The bedding was too thick/ warm for us. Please maybe consider more flexible bedding options

Review 73:The position is ideal for getting to the ferry early, general service and personal attention second to none, lovely breakfast with fresh fruit options and luxury toppings, rooms perfect and clean exceeding expectations. Great value for money. Nickie was just lovely and very kind with our daughter.

Review 74:Busy road in day time at the front side, but with window shut it's no problem.

Review 75:The owners are very kind and caring, excellent breakfast. The room was very clean.

Review 76:We arrived after 9PM but very friendly greeting. Pointed us to a local pub for food. Excellent breakfast early the next morning which set us up for the ferry ride to Fishguard. The location could not be easier and more convenient as it is on the main road and only about 2KM from the ferry.

Review 77:Bit of a hiccup with the telly, but soon sorted, the owners were on call with a bleeper and were with us in seconds.

Review 78:Personal service and attention to detail was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfast was lovely. Bedroom was clean stylish and comfortable. We would go again if we pass that way. Very convenient for the ferry at Rosslare

Review 79:We received a very warm welcome from Nichola. She was very caring over a medical problem. My dietary needs were no problem. It was a very comfortable stay and we have decided to return for our night before the ferry.

Review 80:Paint peeling a little on house exterior. Weeds in the drive way. Externally needs a bit of TLC but this wouldn't put me off.

Review 81:Easy to find. Easy to book on line. Friendly owners. Spacious family room. Quiet and cosey. Spotless. Delicious breakfast. Piping hot freshly made scrambled eggs. Lovely fresh fruit salad; gorgeous brown bread. No hesitation in recommending this very good B&B.

Review 82:Warm welcome by Nicola, first class accommodation... so much more than a BnB. Just what we needed for a night before catching ferry home. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area.

Review 83:Everything-If I could give this lovely b&b 20 out of 10, I would. Warm & friendly welcome, superb rooms, great lounge & a wonderful sleep was followed with a gorgeous full breakfast, served in plenty of time to catch the early ferry. Perfectly situated, can't wait to stay again

Review 84:Everything about Padua ticked the boxes for us. Location, cleanliness, comfort, hosts, and breakfast just perfect. The best stay of our holiday.

Review 85:Our twin room was very small for two persons, little space for luggage and moving around. While we found in other B&B another room for guests to read, relax or network, or a patio outside, there were no such facilities at Padua B&B.

Review 86:A friendly host, breakfast was good as well.

Review 87:Leaving the next day

Review 88:the very warm welcome, the lovely atmosphere, home from home, superb breakfast,I have used a lot of places in rosslare,I wish I had found the Padua earlier I would have saved money and had in a lot of cases a far superior place to stay.I am looking forward to my next time

Review 89:Only point to make but bed on bit of small side but then my partner is 6ft 4".

Review 90:Very friendly staff, bathrooms excellent quality, food excellent, ideally located for ferry in rosslare .

Review 91:Nothing...!

Review 92:We only had the one night arriving early evening...warm welcome and lovely clean comfortable room...we left early in the morning after a hearty full Irish breakfast at 6.45am...no problems at all...we will certainly use Padua again and highly recommend...only 5 minutes from the ferry at Rosslare...many thanks to you both

Review 93:Nothing really but be aware that it is easy to drive pass the house if you are visiting for the first time.

Review 94:Plenty of off road parking and the house is far enough back from the main road for traffic noise not to be too much of a problem. Everything is kept spotlessly clean and the decor is very tasteful. Choice of two local pubs for an evening meal. Breakfast is very good - plenty of choice and very quickly served so ideal if you are rushing for the early morning ferry!

Review 95:It is a far walk from Train Station and Ferry Dock
