Review 1：The villa is up a very steep and narrow road with a sharp turn into the gated driveway, I found the entrance and exit challenging and my wife found it frightening. The villa is not in Mondello but a 10 minute drive away and Mondello is a relatively charmless town though it does have a fairly good sized beach.

Review 2：The Villa is absolutely gorgeous, it was spotlessly clean and Marcello and his staff were very kind and helpful. There is a wonderful view of the sea from the balcony. It is a quiet and restful spot.

Review 5：The villa looks a bit abandoned and it is a pity the rooms are poorly decorated with very cheap Ikea pieces while the villa itself is beautiful and charming. Breakfast is absolutely a poor experience, and it has to be paid separately from the room fee.

Review 11：The owner was very kind and generous,and went out of his way to make my stay restful and pleasant. He drove me to town when I needed to go to the centre and the view was spectacular. Best to have a car at this time, as the buses are not reliable out of high season.

Review 13：First of all, Modello is great as a holiday destination. Much better to stay there than in Palermo, if you are looking to relax. Villa Gilda is a great place to stay. It's a bit far out from the centre of Mondello, which makes is nice and quiet. The accommodations are great. Clean, modern, functional, and provide amazing views. Breakfast is also served overlooking the great view of the shore. Doesn't get any better than that. Most people staying at the Villa seem to rent a car. We did not. It may be easier to get around driving, but I thought it was ok to get around on buses and walking primarily. Also got a couple taxis on later nights out. Really recommend the Villa Gilda and look forward to stay there again myself.
