Reviews for San Biagio Resort
Review 1:We would have liked more tv channels.
Review 2:The setting--a former convent--with a view of Etna; breakfast in the open-air cloister; the easy walk to the center of town
Review 3:The rooms are a bit small, not a lot space to leave items from bags. Also the bathroom is small and cluttered.
Review 4:Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the center of Acireale.
Review 5:Halls are large and tiled so noise travels especially luggage wheels.
Review 6:Very clean and comfortable. It is an old religous building that has been repurposed. Very easy to walk into the center of town and close to Mount Etna. And not as crazy to drive around as Catania. Great parking too!
Review 7:Limited menu for dinner, but the meals were adequate and tasty.
Review 8:Excellent reception staff who could speak English. Breakfast was good. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves dinner. But there are also some good local restaurants. A few kms from Aciriale Railway Station. Taxi from station cost: €10.
Review 9:Manca frigo in camera
Review 10:La location
Review 11:The place is fresh, close to the city centre, friendly staff
Review 12:The atmosphere of the ex-monastery was nice. The breakfast was excellent.
Review 13:Cleanliness, the ambienance and friendly staff
Review 14:very basic extremely noisy portable airco unit. Without too hot too sleep, with it on too noisy to sleep, do not go here ever!!
Review 15:Good parking
Review 16:Staying in an ex monastery with all mod cons.
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are very large. The staff was very kind.
Review 19:Breakfast is very poor. At least at fresh brioche with some jam / cream would be nice. Skip it and go to some local coffee around.
Review 20:Clean, well maintained, city center can be reached by feet
Review 21:- English of the staff was not very good. - Although the name suggests it is a resort, the hotel didn't offer much more than a normal hotel.
Review 22:- Breakfast was good
Review 23:No air conditioning in rooms although this was advertised on Booking.com No bar facilities. The tiny set up in the reception was constantly closed. The restaurant although advertised was closed. Breakfast basic. Not enough light fixtures in bathroom and the wash hand basin was tiny and facilities basic.Only shower was available although a bath was advertised on Booking.com . A very puerile reason was given by reception staff for this. The double bed had two single mattresses instead of one of the proper size. No desk and no writing instruments. To sum it up the minimalist concept has been taken way too far. Which is a pity.
Review 24:The building an ex monastery is superb and has the potential to eventually be transformed into an exceptional 4* Hotel when all the required facilities are up in place. Excellent parking facilities.
Review 25:Nothing in particular except the choice of evening menu was limited and, although was very good quality, was very expensive for what it was. I would have preferred to have had the a la carte menu which we not offered.
Review 26:Well restored converted convent, quiet, good service and friendly helpful staff
Review 27:Air-condition was not working and we were not informed about it but found a fan in our room instead. We got a discount on the price though but only after a request and only 10%!
Review 28:Very good breakfast buffet!
Review 29:No air conditionning in all rooms of the hotel, for several months whenit was announced in the description.Unacceptable for a 4 **** hotel. lie the young employee of the hotel at the reception about it. I do not recommend this hotel.
Review 30:Porpre room-pleasant cloister-breakfast ok-efficient service- / -chambre porpre-cloitre agréable-petit déj ok-service efficace
Review 31:The place is going through a change, from a convent to a Resort and Spa,therefore the bathrooms are not finished, I found the sink too small andnothing to rest your toiletries. The air conditioning did not work, every day we heard a different story. The company that is taking overthis endeavor better get on the ball.
Review 32:Peaceful and relaxing. Good food and good service.
Review 33:Not very close to piazza duomo, about 800m. But you can always go by car. Tip: big (unmarked) parking by piazza dei cappuccini, about 5min on foot from the duomo.
Review 34:Big private (And free) parking right in front of the entrance. Friendly staff, spacious rooms (especially for individuals), big bathroom, good shower. View on a Nice patio, where you can relax with a drink or have breakfast. Quiet.
Review 35:A little bit hard to find at night for the first time. An illuminated light would have helped. Also, for a big body, the single beds(in twin rooms) are a little bit narrow.
Review 36:Exciting building, ex Convent. Great feeling of space and high ceilings in all areas, including simple but spacious bedrooms. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again when in the area.
Review 37:- town arround was quite unfriendly, noisy, huge traffic...
Review 38:- lovely building - perfect place to visit Etna - good breakfast
Review 39:The atmosphere of the location and the quality of service was no less than exclusive.
Review 40:Beautiful setting, Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Very nice location, you just walk easily into town.
Review 41:The staff could smile a bit more.
Review 42:Nice quiet place downtown, good parkingfacilities.
Review 43:Room a little bit to austere.
Review 44:Monastery turned in to a fair hotel. Large rooms, faboulous garden.
