Reviews for Savoy Beach Hotel
Review 1:This is an excellent place, spacy breathtaking. The service was fantastic in each respect and the staff was so nice and helpful in everything. The breakfast was fabulous with champagne and rich food that you couldn't it. Great location with beautiful beach and some local food and wine.
Review 2:Impersonal, sometimes impolite receptionists (did not receive greetings).
Review 3:Extraordinary breakfast, variety of buffalo products, breathtaking garden, perfect pool, calm and relaxing mood. Friendly staff, except for the reception. The private beach (Athena Beach) kept the natural character in every way.
Review 4:No secure parking. There was a wedding on the date we staying, which meant you couldnt really use the pool area, and it was quite noisy, plus the huge carpark was completely full !
Review 5:The bed was like sleeping on clouds. The pool area and the gardens fantastic. The breakfast was fantastic, and could be enjoyed on a huge outside terrace. Access to the beach with an agreement with Lido Athena to use their facilities.
Review 6:-Internet connectivity in room was poor. -Request for additional rack for 2nd luggage ignored. -3 days to replace lightbulb in bathroom; despite request upon arrival -Shower in need of repair. -No water in room or access to ice
Review 7:-Breakfast quality & dining staff were superior -Hotel grounds were beautiful -Access to beach was excellent -Front desk did best to act as concierge since this position seemed to be vacant
Review 8:We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel to fully evaluate it. The name is a bit misleading, the hotel is a five minute walk from the beach down a quite road. No properties are on the beach in this area.
Review 9:Elegant. Very good breakfast. Great staff.
Review 10:Wifi was poor in pur room when we arrived on sunday, better after complain on monday. Restaurant Tres Olives is good but rather expensive.
Review 11:Close to the private beavh with free beds and parasols
Review 12:The room was cold and O had to go to the desk to adk for help. Tge clerk did something by computer snd it was nice and warm -- by morning.
Review 13:Which we can't comment on because we were there in winter, but it's very upscale with a very serious restaurant.
Review 14:The only thing not perfect was that the heater was a bit too warm and difficult to adjust, lucky that the window could be easily opened.
Review 15:Friendly staff very helpful, room was clean and spacious, on-site parking. Don't miss the restaurant, both food and service excellent, complimentary champagne, starters and sweets, all high quality.
Review 16:Poor internet service in the room and lobby. In the end I used an ether net cord which solved the problem.
Review 17:Beautiful decor in the lobby, fabulous breakfast and lovely rooms
Review 18:The air conditioning and Internet worked occasionally and intermittently. Repeated requests to desk accomplished little. For a quality hotel not to have good AC and Internet is beyond me. It was extremely frustrating. You could be working on something and then it would cut out. And the AC would go off during the night and you would wake up very warm.
Review 19:Very attractive hotel. Good breakfast.
Review 20:The rooms were very warm and you had to ask at the desk to get the temperature down to 23 degrees. We tried to go to the dining room for dinner, but were told that because we had not reserved there was not enough food for the 5 of us. Very strange. Instant coffee for breakfast was awful.
Review 21:The hotel is quite luxurious. We loved the pool, as well as the proximity to the beach and the archeological site. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable once we got the temperatures reduced. The patio off our bedroom was delightful.
Review 22:My husband and I Were on holidays with a 4 month old baby. 1. Didnot clean the bathroom and told me " she probably forgot". Putting new towels is not cleaning ! 2. We used their glasses, they just removed the one we used without putting another one 3. The receptionist hanged up on me 4. The toilet was not clean at arrival and was not clean even the day after 5. They sold a room they didnot have, we had to stay in another room the first night.
Review 23:The only good thing is their food. Go eat dinner at their restaurant and that's it !
Review 24:My room was very hot 27.7C! and the thermostat did not change it. I asked at the desk twice to lower the temperature. The second night it was 26C, and I could at least sleep. I would have liked a top sheet on the bed with the duvet.
Review 25:The hotel was beautiful and the swimming area spectacular. Breakfasts were very good - such choices, but coffee mediocre. Beach area exceptional.
Review 26:Hard to fault the Savoy Beach Hotel but the only negative was the smell from the hotel next door's kitchen when we sat out on out rooms balcony.
Review 27:Our overall experience was excellent. The pool was fantastic as was the private beach. The staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. High quality local produce is also a feature of this hotel which we particularly enjoyed.
Review 28:some nights were very noisy (firework at 1 am.) - but it is an event hotel...
Review 29:Location and surroundings, amazing park and hall, breakfast-breakfast-breakfast
Review 30:Everything. Three Olives restaurant fantastic. Best staff ever.Incredible food. Were prepared to organize special foods and dinnerparties. Review 42:Bathroom a bit worn out, needs attention.
Review 43:Large room with nice furniture and excellentbed. Excellent restaurant at reasonable prices. Well organised beach with restaurant of good quality, only 5 minutes walking away. Beautifull garden and terraces.
Review 44:The reason most of us go to Paestum is to see the ruins. There are many good hotels from which to chose. The Savoy is one of the best in terms of comfort and service. We've stayed at this hotel 3 times.
Review 45:Too many bugs.
Review 46:The hotel is top notch and first class! I inquired about an upgrade and the staff promptly showed us rooms and the additional rate. All were very reasonable and we were able to take the room of our choice. They offered late check out and the room service was top notch. The sommelier spent time showing us different wines. Breakfast was great and relaxing. We will return!! Oh, ask about the Wine Tour, a must at San Salvatore 1988!!
Review 47:The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff was so helpful.Breakfast was quite good, typical European style with a lot of breads, meats and fresh cheeses to choose from all served on a the patio. Wewere right across the street from the private beach, so it was notoverly crowded like so many beaches in Italy can be in the summertime.Great time.
Review 48:A one night stay... simply too short :)
Review 49:I am a happy returning guest. It is always a pleasure to stay in this hotel. It has style, the staff is very professional and still very warm in relations with the guests - they care and they show it. Excellent services, excellent location. Will be back soon.
Review 50:WIFI doesn't work in the rooms, just in the lobby.
