Reviews for Beresheet Hotel By Isrotel Exclusive Collection
Review 1:Dining room food good when individually selected and freshly cooked. But on day when ready-made buffet was the only option, we were disappointed that food appeared not to be freshly cooked hours after the 6pm restaurant opening.
Review 2:Quality of hotel and staff
Review 3:The garbage on the grounds. I will suggest more attention to the cleanliness of the grounds even across from the parking lot. I noticed a lot of litter and plastic. I even saw an Iback chewing on a plastic bag. Very saddening to see.
Review 4:The location and views of course overall interior design, spacious rooms, food and activities.
Review 5:Everything was perfect
Review 6:Deluxe hotel creatively built to blend with the desert environment. Comfortable and large accommodations. Peaceful, serene, stunning views of the crater, with adventure tours available. Delicious and plentiful meals.
Review 7:difficult to book a spa treatment: all was fully booked when i arrive and the spa is not open in the evenings (i as hiking during the days); some of the staff isn't very friendly; restaurant has only buffet, which is too much food for me and lounge bar serves only limited food
Review 8:the location, the views, the architecture
Review 9:See above. I will no longer recommend this place.
Review 10:VERY disapointing. Poor quality food. Staff (waiters) are not properly trained. Food was literally tasteless. Too many US tourists with kids/teenagers with no manners. This is meant to be a place for grown up people.
Review 11:Other than the bill, I liked everything. This place is expensive, but best things in life usually are.
Review 12:Everything was excellent, from location to room to breakfast and dinner. Well done!
Review 13:The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning. Even the smallest rooms are like junior suites. The infinity pool is absolutely stunning. Architecture blends well into the environment which is quite rare in Israel
Review 14:I felt that there could have been more group activities offered by the hotel as opposed to activities arranged by private companies with large additional fees. There was also no opportunity to meet other guests, something we have always enjoyed in other hotels.
Review 15:Everything about this hotel is incredible. The views of the crater, the beauty of our villa, and the meals served far exceeded my expectations. The group morning walk was wonderful. The guide encouraged us to think about changes we wish to make in our lives as we walked amidst the natural crater of the dessert. I watched the chefs prepare out dinner as if I was on a cooling show. The sunrise was breathtaking and the massage was terrific.
Review 16:dont book with booking.com you will have to pay tax , if you book direct to hotel it is cheaper.beds a little to firm
Review 17:excelent service dinner generous and chef prepared , staff reacted quickly rare quality of service, rare hotel, the sauna was great, and cinema with fresh popcorn, piano player was high quality entertainment in very relaxing lounge with georgous open fire place
Review 18:I didn't take advantage of the pillow menu and should have. I found the pillows very uncomfortable
Review 19:The ambience of the hotel was so relaxing.. I loved the huge bathroom and the comfort of the room in general.
Review 20:The magnificent crater. The food. Our own little pool in front of the room. The friendly and helpful staff. The family of Ibex wandering around the grounds. The whole area is well thought out for tourists.
Review 21:I think they need to better maintain some of the physical aspects of their rooms. The front door to our room was difficult to open, close and lock.
Review 22:This is a fabulous resort with a very unique location! The food is first rate and the entire property laid out beautifully!
Review 23:I did not like the only jacuzzi being indoor, nor the size of it. It was always crowded. I think you need to expand the spa and to segregate the men and women's areas. it would be nice to have a jacuzzi in the spa area as well.
Review 24:Food excellent; staff helpful and nice. Views breathtaking and rooms lovely and peaceful.
Review 25:Thought the set price of dinner - 250 shekels - rather high but it was excellent.
Review 26:Wonderful hotel, fantastic location. A very special place - very tastefully designed.
Review 27:Washbasin in room dirty where water drains. My kids sent my mother a bottle of champagne and a card for her birthday. It was delivered to the wrong table. On Sunday we had trouble getting coffee in the dining room.
Review 28:Came with my mother .staff were very helpful and kind
Review 29:Most of the rooms lack privacy on the decks. Also in the restaurant tables are "reserved" for people all evening who never happen to show up.
Review 30:Location is unique and lovely
Review 31:The restaurant was very expensive so we opted for a meal in the bar. The choice wasn't great but the food was very good and the waitress was lovely. You have to leave your car in the car park and be taken anywhere in a golf cart which, as we were only there for one night and weren't able to relax by the pool all day, was a bit of a pain, especially as I can't walk too far. At breakfast, we were told that we couldn't sit at any of the tables on the small balconies overlooking the crater as they had been "sold" whatever that meant! None of the were actually occupied the whole time we were eating. As that was the only time we were in the main building during the day and could have had a good view of the crater, it was disappointing as, after all, the crater is the only reason for going to the town.
Review 32:This is a really luxurious hotel. The room was quite large with a separate seating area and an area for using a computer and it was really beautifully decorated with a lot of natural materials - stone, wood etc and a lot of glass. There was a full size bath and a lovely shower. We could see quite a lot of the crater from our room/balcony which, having read reviews before we went, I wasn't expecting. There were a lot of wild Ibex roaming in the grounds which was lovely. The pool looked beautiful but, sadly, we didn't have time to use it.
Review 33:For Restauration, buffet is better than menu. It´s a bit long time to get main course & dessert. Few waiters are not experimented..but the most of them are excellent .
Review 34:Excellent room with a large bathroom ( bath & shower). Private swimming pool is quite big . Very nice view over the Ramon cratere.
Review 35:Don't take the rooms with private pool, they're not so private since one room is located above you, two next to and others aside. Also some walking people pass in front. The common swimming pool is awesome.
Review 36:Very nice and clean hotel. The view is stunning.
Review 37:This place is amazing. Views from all rooms. no need to get a in suite pool, because there is no privacy to it. The Best hairdryer i have ever used in my entire life.
Review 38:Every little detail was accounted for. The staff was incredible (especially Yuval in Concierge and Erez in Security). Staff even called to remind us that breakfast was closing soon. I have been dreaming about the breakfast since we left.
Review 39:We couldn't book a massage, it was full already
Review 40:Everything was amazing First of all, amazing location, fantastic property (rooms, pools, amenities) Staff was very helpful We went for our minimoon, and we couldn't expect anything better
Review 41:Dining room -food just fair;especially dinner. As a senior, the steps to our room was formidable.
Review 42:Gorgeous location, beautiful views. Property well maintained.Beautiful pools;good range of activities available.
Review 43:I was not aware that smoking is permitted on the balconies of the rooms. Smoke from other balconies was very annoying to me. It was hard to enjoy the beautiful views without the fresh air I expected. They should have a non-smoking section of rooms. I'm not sure I would return unless this is the case.
Review 44:Staff is truly special.
Review 45:The Dinner is very expensive and not worth it! It's 250NIS for person for a good (not excellent) buffet. It's much cheaper to order room service or eat at the Dairy Lobby restaurant. I wish I had known that the first night...
Review 46:Quite, good people. The view is amazing, one of the prettiest spots in the country.
Review 47:The spa is closing at 19:00, so no treatments or pools open. The "extras" like bike rentals or any kind of activity around the hotel are extremely expansive- added to the very expansive stay at the hotel. you may feel trapped with no options in the middle of the desert.
Review 48:Food is great, very friendly staff, view is amazing
Review 49:* The pictures of the hotel incorrectly suggest that if you book a 'desert-view-room', you'll get a room with a view overlooking the crater (ie: the desert). Do note that many so called 'desert-view-rooms' don’t have a view on the crater but are basically overlooking the public ‘deserty’ area of the hotel itself; an area that was dotted by other blocks of rooms. * The hotel is marked by a poor level of customer ‘service’. We experienced severe problems with the payment of the room. Even though we payed, the hotel still didn't remove the credit-reservation they placed on a different credit-card that we used during check-in. Despite of our various calls, the problem is still not solved (almost one week after checking-out). * Also, we encountered several employees who didn't speak English to the level you'd expect from a 5 star hotel, which created a lot of fuss and misunderstanding. So to sum it up: yes, the hotel and it's location are truly stunning. And if we would have payed half of the price for the 'desert-view' room, our review wouldn’t have been so negative. However, because of it’s high price range and because we’re talking here about a 5 star hotel, this hotel truly doesn't deserve more than a 6 as a review score.
Review 50:* The location is truly stunning, set on the rim of the crater with great views from the restaurant and the pools. * Drop-that-gorgeous swimming pools (one infinitive pool overlooking the crater, and one indoor pool with a small part of it ending outdoors - also with stunning crater views). * Great Israeli style breakfast with a huge range of dishes varying from egg muffins with veggies, omelets, semolina cakes, breads, jams, veggies, a range of fruits (fresh, dried and candied), fish, cheeses, salads, cakes, mini-cheesecakes, et cetera.
Review 51:Breakfast was listed as being open til 11:00 We arrived at about 10:50 expecting to have a relaxed breakfast but were informed at 11:10 that they were closing the buffet. When I told the maitre de ( on being asked) about breakfast I told him of this problem he admitted that they were aware of the problem and were having a meeting that very day, The next day we safely came earlier and were informed again at 10:10 of the same precedure.
Review 52:Very relaxing
Review 53:this is a great place, I am not sure the price justifies the experience, but there aren't alot of options in Mitzpeh Ramon.
Review 54:Beautiful location, great pools with amazing views. The grounds are lovely and it is very special to go on an evening walk and see the Yael"im on the trails and such.
Review 55:Paid a lot to stay at a fab spa hotel. It is fab. Except when we arrived - the spa was fully booked other than first thing in the morning. So no spa for us. Hotel should contact guests and invite them to book spa treatments in advance. Not much point going to a spa hotel otherwise.
Review 56:Rooms, pool, food - all beautiful.
Review 57:rooms were a bit antiquated. Restricted choice for dinner: Either full menu at high price or very limited choice in the bar.
Review 58:Location, views, friendly staff, very relaxing
Review 59:Only in the dining room, very crowded at times and large families with noisy children It somewhat negates the purpose of a spa Because of its position, half way between Be'er Sheva and Eilat there were always tours coming an going, very much like a large railway station Again. negating the Spa 's true effect of peace, quiet and relaxation Again, these were not issue at the Carmel Spa, which did NOT allow children This restriction should be applied here! heer!
Review 60:The Food The Room The superbly trained Staff The Attention to detail The first class treatments by excellent masseuses But most of all, the wonderful view
Review 61:The vacation was superb in every way.. Only a few minor suggestions: I tried to reach the hotel by phone directly and they never picked up.Also there were charges for all classes and exercise sessions. Nothing was included which seemed a bit inappropriate for the price we paid.
Review 62:The rooms and terrace were tranquil and beautiful with every amenity. Staff is super responsive and gracious. The property was built to blend into the natural landscape which is all the more fantastic.
Review 63:Free bottles of water are not provided daily, this is supposed to be an exclusive hotel and this is a petty neglect that should not occur in a hotel of this supposed standard
Review 64:The view of the crater
Review 65:Beresheet is over the top in every way - location, facility, staff and room. It's the most expensive hotel stay of my trip and it didn't disappoint. The room was laid out perfectly with ample seating and storage. The amenities were perfect. Breakfast was great with an assortment of Israeli options and great pastries.
Review 66:The service, not surprisingly for an Isrotel hotel, leaves something to be desired. Sometimes helpful and sometimes, well, just not helpful. Would be really nice if the water in the lovely pools was warmed up a bit; given how cold the water is, the pools are hardly useable.
Review 67:Breathtaking views of the crater, very comfortable room, the little patio pool is quite lovely (though the water is freezing cold in it), and the food, given the kosher constraints, was not bad at all.
Review 68:Stayed with a friend for one night in a room with crater view and pool, this was just a dream. Highly recommend: waking up for sunrise, having a drink on lobby terrace for sunset. Avoid main restaurant, lobby's food is okay and view is amazing
Review 69:The check in procedure was less than friendly. We were at first "assigned" a time for dinner and only after asking if any others were available were given different time. Upon checkout, there were two problems: First, my charge receipt was about $75 too high and I was told this was the conversion from Sheckels to Dollars (even though statement was in both Sheckels and Dollars and the Dollars due on the statement was lower. This was corrected only after I showed the math myself. Second, Value Added Tax or VAT (only for Israeli Citizens) was added on and we were told it would be refunded at the airport. The VAT office at the airport indicated the hotel should not have charged and this would have to be refunded by them. After several e-mails this has not happened and is now in the process of being reconciled with AMEX.
Review 70:The location is excellent, restaurant is superb and the restaurant staff is helpful, friendly and professional.
Review 71:The trainee waitresses in the breakfast restaurant had "Apprentice" labels - which is a bit of an "industrial" word in English. "Trainee" would have been a bit more normal and perhaps more fitting.
Review 72:Everything - woke up at dawn (5.30am) to view the sunrise directly east out of our bedroom window. The sky was a bit hazy close to the horizon so we didn't see the sun until 20 minutes later.
Review 73:Just a little hiccup at front desk - we didn't have the incoming card to Israrl which proved we were tourists - so we had to pay the VAT - Never had to show that in any other hotel -
Review 74:I liked everything about this hotel - location amenities and glamour
Review 75:Our whole stay was perfect from start to finish. The property seamlessly fits into its environment. The setting is unparalleled with anything we've ever seen. Pictures don't do it justice. Food was excellent, staff was attentive and helpful. While all this perfection comes with a price tag, every dollar was worth it.
Review 76:checking was quote as 5pm when we arrived at the hotel - shocking! VAT added to final bill which wasnt made aware at the time of booking - small print and i wouldnt have booked if I had seen this addition. Lots of children and noise which i wasnt expecting.
Review 77:Location, breakfast, hotel was clean and good facilities, views are amazing.
Review 78:Staff got a bit mixed up and seemed overwhelmed at times. For example, each morning we booked a specific table for dinner, but when we arrived in the evening the table was always given to someone else. This happened on three days.
Review 79:Proximity of the ultra-luxury hotel amenities indoors (rooms, spa, film theatre, dining, music) with opportunities for active tourism outdoors (off-road jeep tours, bicycling, swimming, wild animals).
Review 80:On the day of our departure our key was just disabled at 12:00 though we had asked to prolong our stay for an hour and got the confirmation. (We found ourselves outside in the bathrobes after spa on a very cold day)
Review 81:The performance by Gil Leibovitch was excellent. The breakfast was great.
Review 82:I wan't happy about the choice of film in the Cinema Room and I feel that should be vetted before a showing. However, when I complained, the manager took my criticism seriously and they promised that would b rectified. It was sweet they served up popcorn but some available drinks should be offered aswell. The Cinema was really great. A treat.
Review 83:Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms extremely comfortable and kept extremely clean. Beds were very comfortable. Slept like a log. No complaints at all.
Review 84:over-priced and not good value compared to other similar resort around the world...
Review 85:the view, the decor, the toiletries. the room is very comfort as well...
Review 86:Spa zone was not looked after enough during the last hour- when I entered humum, there were some (many..) leftovers of body care and seeting area was slippery from shampoo, so I had to actually clean it to have a decent time in there and not to feel and look ar the garbage..
Review 87:Breathtaking and unique views, infinity pool at the edge of crater, design, gourmet breakfast.. If I should pick just one hotel to stay in Israel, I would choose this one. Absolutely stuning!
Review 88:Wifi very slow for a hotel of this class (or any class). The answer to our request for a packed lunch to take with us on departure was "it's not possible".
Review 89:Location, views
Review 90:1. List of fitness activities too sparse. 2. No locker room for comfortable changing/showers 3. Inability to fix phone in room
Review 91:1. Food was unbeatable 2. Location and view. 3. Room was beautiful
Review 92:Be prepared for cold weather and winds at night if going at enter time.
Review 93:Amazing views. Take a Jeep tour in the desert. Fascinating sights and explanations of the area that seems so dead at first viewing. The food was extremely good.
Review 94:When we booked our room we were unaware that the hotel offered a dinner reservation option that also included breakfast. We only had booked under the breakfast option and had to pay a separate fee for dinner which was extremely expensive. The spa was nice but did not have a Jacuzzi.
Review 95:We had an amazing view of the crater from our room that also included a beautiful private wading pool. The food and selection of different options were impressive. We also enjoyed watching the wild rams run around all over the property. There is a lot see and experience in the area. The four wheeler excursion was fantastic.
Review 96:Too short of a stay!! Was only there overnight. Pool/ spa hours should be extended.
Review 97:Amazing views. Beautiful architectural buildings. New clean rooms. Great breakfast.
Review 98:The reception desk is disappointing in its attitude towards Booking customers. They try to put you up in second rate accommodation smiling all the way to the scam.
Review 99:Superb location. The rooms are comfortable, spotless and vacation oriented. Breakfast is an Israeli delight at its best. Dinner is fairly good. The staff at the dining room is excellent, Genadi who runs the show does an excellent job. The facilities and the swimming pool are in excellent condition. Although overpriced, it is quite an experience.
Review 100:Unique location, breathtaking views, cozy rooms and a very helpful stuff, delicious food for our vegetarian requirements. They even come to save us in the desert when our car just stopped and all that after we were no more their guests and we have been checked out of the hotel. Avis didn't come to save us, but they did! Thank you for the magical 5 sunny days .)
Review 101:My only negative was the unevenness of the housekeeping staff. My room was never cleaned the same way each day. Oddly the best was my last night.
Review 102:facility, staff, breakfasts.
Review 103:Was not aware of how booked the spa facilities were. Couldn't get a reservation . Would have to book ahead.
Review 104:Modern day oasis! Exceptional location taste design and architecture Possibly the most comfortable bed ever. Breakfast a dazzling buffet - a culinary delight. Salads and snacks exceptional too
Review 105:There was nothing not to like.
Review 106:This hotel is in a beautiful setting. The accommodations were superb, large room and bathroom, private plunge pool and vistas all around. We even saw ibex early in the morning.
Review 107:WiFi problems Worn out rug in the room Long wait for the golf-car for the checkout
Review 108:Amazing views Amazing food Great spa Beautiful architecture and very comfortable facilities in all respects Calming atmosphere Ibexes roam freely through the grounds Live music every evening Yoga sessions every morning Luxury toiletries This hotel really restores your mind and body.
Review 109:According to Booking.com the price should have been around $680 +18%, i.e.$802.40, instead I was charged $834.15. When I called next day to clarify that charge I had to leave name & phone. They did not contact me as promised. I am very disappointed.
Review 110:Nice location. Breakfast was good. Restaurant service excellent.
Review 111:How can we look cheers the restrictions referred to the poor wi-fi forcomputers and a total lack of operation of the phones that left uswithout access to programs in urgent messages via Iternet as whats up,face book, etc .. .. but the most serious complaint is that probablynever will make me more back to the hotel is the organization of powersystem offer to guests. Guests can not leave 5 star hotel for dinner atrestaurant 2 stars on a micro-city. Then forced to pay rates are veryexpensive for bad quality food, no option in which includes up a buffetof entry and more options 4 hot food, no dessert - closed price, nodrinks, wines to sale of bad quelidade, off the market price. No options
Review 112:Two nights, no eating, no communication with the world, by being in ahotel with superb facilities, not by luxury, but for comfort, rusticdecor, showing that not saved in construction, and still functionality, incorporating all these qualities a still stunning view in connectionwith the expenses that are high for gUESTS, they have a social level soabove average education, living making nice.
Review 113:Nothing comes to mind
Review 114:The hotel and the desert tours into the Crater and to be able to seeNabatean buildings still standing after 2000 years where they were partof the Perfume Route from Oman to Gaza and supplied the Roman Empire
Review 115:Fitness room could have been a bit bigger.
Review 116:Best Israeli breakfast among luxury hotels. Unparalleled scenery. Like having your own villa. Loved the pillow menu.
Review 117:Food for which they are renowned was mediocre. Vegetables uncooked despite being told. Received shiatsu in spa which resulted in injury by aggressive therapist. Staff try to be attentive but do not follow through on requests or complaints. Not 5 star from a staff trained viewpoint. Disappointing because hotel is isolated and relies on a reputation for a restful pampered stay which is not achieved
Review 118:Large bedroom with all facilities including sun chairs on balcony. Choice of pillows. Great view of crater from main hotel-not so from our room. Tame deer on property.
Review 119:Nothing not to like
Review 120:unbelievable location fabulous views. Staff and guests alike were very respectul and quiet which enhanced the natural beauty of the hotel and surroundings. Food wonderful
Review 121:1. view when you step outside from the door. 2. very unqualified service personals. 3. loose electrical cables under the bed. 4. no water/coffee/soap refreshments. 5. needed to wait long time to get my car keys(more than 30 min).
Review 122:view from the balcony
Review 123:We didn't like the options for dinner. We had 2 choices, one restaurant was 250 shekels, the other place to eat was a bar w a small menu, very small and very little choice.
Review 124:we loved everything....great hotel, great facility....
Review 125:Everything was EXCELLENT! Great value.
Review 126:This is a magnificent hotel. We only used it one day but wished we could have stayed longer. It has magnificent views over the crater and everything is done beautifully. The food was expensive but good. Staff very friendly and helpful. A must if you are traveling in the South, but give yourself time to enjoy this splendid hotel and spa
Review 127:The prices for this Hotel are - especially when comparing with other locations in Israel - great value for money. From location, room, food to staff everything was perfect. The Hotel also offers great trips and activities in Mitspe Ramon!
Review 128:i felt the spa dressing room could have had more spaces to change
Review 129:the location, the food and the treatment
Review 130:Staff needs to be a little more polished.
Review 131:Lovely facility.
Review 132:Lovely room and view Excellent staff that took care of all of our needs Delicious food
Review 133:What's not to like! The decor, location, food, and facilities are all top notch.
Review 134:The Spa is in our view not proffesional regardless the facility itself.
Review 135:Location, ready to serve staff, the room and its comfort and the food.
Review 136:You need to serve coffee and tea after a meat meal. Buy cups and parve non dairy creamer.
Review 137:Staff, food, accommodations
Review 138:The welcome could be better
Review 139:Location.
