Reviews for Isrotel Ramon Inn Hotel

Review 1:Bathroom facilities, although new, were not well installed: sink hot and cold water reversed and glass shower shield had a gap that allowed water onto the floor. Exhaust fan didn't seem to work.

Review 2:Excellent location; we've been going there since it opened, about 20 years ago. Breakfast buffet very good. Dinner buffet also good, especially the wide variety of salads. Service friendly and excellent.

Review 3:Carpets worn. Glass shelf in bathroom projects too far over bathroom sink. Watch out can bang head when washing face!

Review 4:Relatively comfortable. Lobby clean, impressive. Breakfast fresh, wide variety, very good coffee.

Review 5:The booking.com process for this property. Somehow the system refreshed and when we thought we ordered two nights we got one night, so had to rebook the second night at a different rate/option. We did so, and then sorted it out when we got to the hotel. And again, the hotel staff was perfect about it.

Review 6:Amazing location, having basically a "little apartment" was awesome, the food was great, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Also, the mountain bike rental, pool, and laundry onsite. Great great great.

Review 7:There was not elevator. The checking was not efficient and very slow. The changes in the reservation were not updated.

Review 8:The rooms and the breakfast was quite good

Review 9:The room was tiny and poorly appointed The dinner buffet was OK but not worth 250 nis. The front desk staff could smile sometimes. There is no elevator.

Review 10:Not very much

Review 11:Our room was small and for the cost we paid it was rather "basic". Another problem was the very noisy A/C which fortunately we could shut off because it was cool at night (16-17 C) and we could open the window. In addition, the cost for the dinner buffet was 170 NIS per person or about C$65 per person, which led us to a cheaper alternative called HaKatzeh, a pub-like friendly place with excellent food about 20 minutes away by foot. It cost 190 NIS for two, including a bottle of good wine!

Review 12:Very good service at reception, very good breakfast and a lovely indoor pool

Review 13:a bit pricey

Review 14:good location , clean and tidy ! the hotel has a list of activities you can do in Mitzpe Ramon which helped us a lot . got a small swimming pool though it is a 3 stars hotel. fantastic Israeli breakfast buffet

Review 15:The facilities are a bit old The staff is very young and not very proactive, helpful it's expensive for what it is

Review 16:The apartments are big Located in the city center near, walking distance from Crater The breakfast

Review 17:The pool, too small for the amount of people who were there on this weekend. We had a room on the 3rd floor (there are only 3 floors) and there was no elevator. Not good for senior citizens

Review 18:Well furnished suite with a kitchenette seems to be the norm at this hotel for the lowest price room

Review 19:There are no elevators in the hotel so we had to drag our bags up the stairs. Also, we were unable to adjust the settings on the AC in our room and we couldn't get the window to open.

Review 20:The location was wonderful. The hotel restaurant was more than OK. Wonderful Israeli breakfast buffet.

Review 21:Room on 4th floor and noi loft. Fit young man supplied who easily carried heavy case up the stairs. But did t carry us.

Review 22:Very good food. Good staff good position. Clean tidy comfortable hotel

Review 23:If a guest is near 60 years old, do not put them on the fourth floor when you have to carry all your luggage up and down. Very difficult and no help. I have never, ever, been to a restaurant for dinner, where not one single person came over to ask if everything was okay or if you wanted a glass of wine or if you wanted a refill on water. We were totally ignored until time for the check. Inexcusable!!!

Review 24:Location good, suite nice, buffets with many selections

Review 25:No dressing table and mirror in the room. Hair dryers are only provided upon request with deposit. No elevators. The water in the heated pool was not so warm and was a little dusty.

Review 26:Very neat and nice, but more of an apartment than a hotel. Several amusement facilities. Calm and Quietness of the area.

Review 27:There was nothing I dislike during my stay.

Review 28:I asked for quiet , I was an the last floor (4th) with beautiful views, no traffic noise and complete privacy. The hotel is lovely, centrally located and the staff friendly and helpful.

Review 29:Dinner was quite expensive especially for the kids. Room had some small issues--room phones didn't work, no tissues in the bathroom, drainage problem in the shower.

Review 30:Very comfortable suite for parents and kids. Staff was very nice and helpful. Great pool.

Review 31:the hotel is a "dream in brown", stuck in the 80´s with its furnishings. The fitted carpet in the room really should have gone years ago. The slow service at check-in and check-out is testing your patience.

Review 32:Whilst the hotel is very dated, i.e. fixtures in the bathroom - it was very clean. Breakfast was nice, but a lack of bread varieties.

Review 33:Staff at check-in were a little rude and not patient. No elevators. Buffet dinner was too expensive.

Review 34:Large rooms, very comfortable. Nice fireplace. Nice musician near fireplace.

Review 35:We had stayed in Ramon Inn 15 years ago. This time we were in a part of the inn that was not as nice. There were problems with the toilet, we had to pay extra for the wi-fi and why is it that they still don't have an elevator?

Review 36:The food is nothing short of amazing.

Review 37:WiFi problems were severe, those who needed it urgently had to drive 20 minutes to Aroma to connect. One of our 5 rooms was on the 4th floor. Lack of elevators is a serious shortcoming in this hotel.

Review 38:Rooms, staff, FOOD, lobby, reception, and of course location. All staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. One of the best family vacations we've ever had.

Review 39:Already explained in "what we liked" in the previous question. Also I did not like Booking.com's response to our dissatisfaction with the hotel's response to our requests. It seems that booking.com does not read the requests made on the booking.com website. In this specific case, I don't see the value of using booking.com. Your representatives assumed the side of the hotel, and that we. Had to "prove" the hotel was in error. Most of the negotiations with the hotel was done by us, not booking.com, so why do I need booking.com? I can make the reservationan and negotiations without booking.com. You need to improve your service.

Review 40:To be honest, we liked nothing. The hotel advertised a level of kosher standard (glatt) that they actually did not provide. I consider false advertising.

Review 41:We looked for a place to stay overnight en route to Eilat, and had no expectations regarding the facilities or cuisine. We were surprised at the outstanding quality of the breakfast buffet which surpassed the standards of the most luxurious 5-star Israeli hotels.

Review 42:Having to pay for wifi per device.

Review 43:Dinner, breakfast, having a suite, front desk staff, options we didn't even have time for like indoor pool and ping pong.

Review 44:Pricy for what is offer

Review 45:Excellent breakfast, hot water, clean

Review 46:On-site bell boy help for suitcases

Review 47:Country-style hotel, great atmosphere and pleasant, eager to help staff

Review 48:This was a very homely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Israeli breakfast was very fresh and delicious

Review 49:It was not clean , run down , no elevator .. The only good thing was that the front desk person was extremely nice.

Review 50:NO LIFT IN THIS HOTEL

Review 51:Silence and nature

Review 52:Very expensive for what you get. Think of this as a motel.

Review 53:Indoor pool has kids wading pool.

Review 54:rooms very shabby needs updating

Review 55:sitting in lobby lounge

Review 56:only one airconditioner for each apartment

Review 57:location , breakfast

Review 58:Everything

Review 59:Difficult to carry suitcases upstairs .

Review 60:Staff were very helpful . Swimming pool wonderful . Breakfast generous and tasty .

Review 61:The location by Ramon's Crater was the chief asset. The dinner and breakfast were very good.

Review 62:pay for wi-fi

Review 63:ok value for money

Review 64:Having to pay for WiFi.

Review 65:Lovely lounge area with real wood - burning fire. Excellent indoor pool.

Review 66:The indoor pool room (air) is not heated, too cold to be used in winter; No elevator.

Review 67:Kitchen facilities Meal Service

Review 68:Nice food and atmosphere.

Review 69:Free wi-fi not available

Review 70:Everything except free wi-fi not available

Review 71:the lack of an elevator, the view of a parking lot and apartment buildings

Review 72:the cleanliness the warm accomadating staff

Review 73:Very expensive for a basic hotel, no view, no elevator, leaking faucet kept us up all night.

Review 74:The food was good.

Review 75:There is no elevator which was fine by us, but may be a consideration for someone unable to carry their luggage up steps.

Review 76:Staff was very helpful and accommodating after a booking.com error. They also gave us restaurant suggestions and made reservations for us so that we would not miss dinner.

Review 77:Closet space is in the "living room". Absolutely no furniture in bedroom except for nightstands. No TV in bedroom. No free WiFi...???? If you want internet, it's $8/hr or $20/day? Seriously? Pool closes from 12-4. Why? We booked this hotel so my wife could have access to the pool while I was away for work. The pool hours are very silly.

Review 78:The hotel is decent and clean. Staff is pleasant. If you book a room definitely pay the extra fee for breakfast. Their breakfast buffet is unbelievable. The choices and flavor of the food is outstanding. I did not try their dinner buffet, but I'm sure it was good too. They have a "cafe" available with a nice menu of items to order (and the servings are large). The landscaping around the hotel is very nice.

Review 79:No safe in room so used the hotel's front desk safe deposit. No elevator!

Review 80:Very pleasant hotel to return to after a hard day touring around the desert. Comfortable rooms, nice staff, very good choice of buffet food at supper and breakfast. Restaurant was full but staff coped well and fetched anything you needed. Lounge had a pianist playing and there is a swimming pool on site.

Review 81:Your booking page said that the minisuite (which we booked) had a hairdryer, desk, iron, microwave, pay-per-view TV, alarm clock. None of these facilities were present and the reception staff assured us that these features had never been provided in a minisuite. Your description of this hotel is therefore quite misleading.

Review 82:Food was excellent taste and quality, and very reasonably priced.

Review 83:no elevator had to get bags to 3 rd floor Very slow internet and you had to pay for it.

Review 84:Good location in a town with few choices. Food was very good Excellent breakfast

Review 85:No elevator. No shop in the Hotel.Air conditioned was too low in thepublic areas Maybe a new direction should be found for the hotel, because of the Be Reshit.. .No handicapped entrance from the streethallWhen I told friends I went to Mizpe Ramon for a holiday everybodyasked the same question:to the new hotel or the old?Same question wasasked at the hotel, I was having coffee in the Lobby and people aroundme did not stopping talking about the new Hotel. The feeling is..well itis nuce here but too bad we can not be there.I Actually I really enjoyedmy stay at the ramon Inn.I Immigrated to israel form italy, I have seenthe best, I think the new hotel is grat, really, but the old one has hischarme. It should be reinvented..

Review 86:The staff was wonderful, the suite they gave us was very pleasant, breakfast was special and we really enjoyed our stay.It is a pity thatthere is no elevator. We understand that with the new Hotel this lovelytraditional older hotel will have problems But I believe that isrotelwill find the right solution for it.

Review 87:Rooms were very tired, scruffy and very basic. In contrast to a smartreception area and reasonably smart lounge and bar. There were noelevators so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs. We had a suite - whichwas actually a box like bedroom with a bed in it - remeniscent of aboarding school, room with a grubby couch and carpet and tv, and kitchenarea. Swimming pool was indoors so like a sauna in the sweltering heatof Mitzpe Ramon in summer. There was no where to sit outside at all. Hadhoped for sun loungers in the shade where we could relax with a cooldrink, round a pool. For the price we expected a lot more luxury.

Review 88:Reception was smart. Breakfast was excellent

Review 89:no free internet no elevator

Review 90:our car had a flat tire, it was repaired in 30 min

Review 91:The standard of the room was poor value for the cost

Review 92:Good location. Comfortable lounge and dining areas.

Review 93:Mattresses

Review 94:Food is truly home made and fresh Pool is very nice, ping pong available

Review 95:Clean , had what you needed but Very basic rooms and no elevator . We were on the 4th floor.

Review 96:Hotel doesn't have an elevator, no free wifi

Review 97:Service was excellent , great food, very comfy rooms

Review 98:No elevators

Review 99:Very pleasant family hotel
