Review 1：No restaurant service at lunch time so if you want to spend a day lounging by the pool you must leave for lunch elsewhere. Breakfast was exactly the same for 5 days in a row. Scrambled eggs inedible (grey & rubbery) & not much variation. Restaurant most food good but pasta disappointing. When I was asked why i did not eat it & if everything was ok, I said that pasta & sauce where not cooked well together. I was still charged €15.00 for it & not offered anything else instead. Also seafood in pasta was not fresh but frozen - something which i do not expect from a €15.00 plate of spaghetti. Other things like our pool towels were not changed daily. we used the same one for 3 days. Not exactly 4* and not worth what we paid for.

Review 6：Lovely fresh hotel with a pool that made all the difference to a hot few days! Very friendly staff, excellent meal at the hotel restaurant overlooking the sea which was magical at night. Our room had a slight sea view which was lovely. Good advice from the reception staff to catch the local train to Catania rather than drive - only 2euro return and reception printed off all the times for us which really helped. (NB a long walk to station so leave a long time to get to it as trains not that regular)

Review 9：The hotel is excellently located if you are travelling with a car but quite far (15 minutes) to walk to the center... and by the way... the street to the center is all up hill and the pavement is next to nonexistent making it quite dangerous to walk in the street especially if you are with young children. The WIFI connectivity in the room was very poor and intermittent and only possible from certain areas of the room

Review 10：On the other hand, the staff was excellent especially the receptionists. The pool is rather small but lovely and very relaxing The room is spacious and had a little communal garden with views of the sea breakfast was fresh and sufficient hotel was clean Although the parking area is rather small, it is free and on weekends, a parking attendant is also present. He provided an excellent service.

Review 12：We liked the hotel and the staff, as they were very helpful and even if they could speak English, done everything they could to help us out. The room was just the right size for us and had a nice open area which was nice to sit and enjoy when the sun passed over the building.

Review 15：The hotel is over rated and overpriced. If you do not have a car, its location is awkward with a difficult steep climb to the town centre. Amenities are reasonable but not 4 1/2 star level. Reception staff are pleasant but the rest are poker-faced. Breakfast was minimal by 4 1/2 star standards.

Scrambled eggs finishes very quickly and when we asked the blond lady who was taking care of breakfast, we got a very rude no and if we wanted we could just take what was left. This was'nt late, only 8.30, but seriously if you can't provide for everyone, don't provide at all. And rude staff should'nt be allowed ever!!!!

Review 73：The hotel has a lovely view especially in the breakfast area. Receptionists helped a lot. It had a nice terrace with a table and two chairs even though there should be a bit more light outside.

Review 76：There is very little to do in Acireale. There's not even a beach even though it is right beside the sea. The restaurants in Acireale aren't great either and nobody speaks English. My partner and I were very bored and checked out early to go and stay in Taormina where there is much more to do and see.

Review 77：The room, the pool and the views. Acireale is good if you want a taste of rural Italy where the locals speak little or no English. Cafe Cipriani is great for granita and icecream. The cafe trattoria halfway up via emmanuelle on the right hand side is also great for granita and the cappuccinos are just €1.

Review 89：We had an excellent one-night stay. The room was comfortable, the bath had an excellent shower, the view over the coast was quite lovely, and the historic center was just a short walk away. The common area near the bar is cozy and inviting. The hotel restaurant was an unexpected treat (excellent salad and pizza and other dishes looked equally appealing; fresh-squeezed orange juice at breakfast). Off season, the value for price was outstanding.

Review 94：If you want to do anything (beach, sightseeing) you must have a car for your stay, since there is nothing around. It is impossible to find the hotel without the navigation – motorway is 15 minutes away. Balconies are not private, and some rooms are in the basement, next to pool cleaning area. To avoid this rooms ask for rooms with sea view at the time of the booking – they are much nicer because of the location.

Review 95：We really recommend this hotel – services are good, rooms are clean. Breakfast is very good with local specialities and good coffee (you need to ask for th coffee but it is free). Locals are visiting the restaurant and sometimes it is really busy - it is recommended to book in advance for the dinner. Train is very close but you can only hear the noise outside, not in the room. Wifi worked properly.

Review 96：Near the Hotel there is the train railway. It is not disturbing a lot but if you have a floor room you will hear it. During the nights the train are very few. The Floor Room are very noisy. The restaurant of the hotel if busy can be very slow but the waiters are over the top in level of services. Acireale is not a nice place at all but is very good if you are planning to visit the ETNA.

We found the staff incredibly helpful and flexible, the attached restaurant offers great food with a friendly service. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly, and the long time window to take breakfast is very useful for an early start or lie-in.

Review 102：The location is really bad.You definitely NEED A CAR to get around. Being able to see the sea from the breakfast room is a teaser, as there is no access. It takes about 40 min (lots of traffic), to get to one of the beaches north of Acireale. PARKING in the hotel area is also limited and very bad outside (hill). The so-called BALCONY is a patio running along the house and thus is shared by all. Although everybody has their own little space, you can see everybody and everything. That's why we didn't really use it, as there was no feel of privacy to it. The BREAKFAST is ok, but not worthy of a 4-star hotel. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the hotel, if you want to go swimming in the sea. If you intend to stay just in the hotel it is nice, because it is clean.
