Review 1：The place has NO sound insulation. The guy next door was talking on the phone and he sounded like he was in our room. He then watched TV all night long so we got to listen to that while someone upstairs above us walked back and forth for hours with hard shoes on a tile floor.

Review 5：Vey nice little hotel in pretty if noisy port of Castellammare. Great position. The hotel has a big terrace at the front to watch the boats. An extremely friendly helpful girl on reception who made sure we woke up in time for an early flight and made us cappuccinos.

The location is in the heart of the city, right on the water, so it is very convenient to restaurants, etc. The facilities were well-maintained and tidy. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast options very much.

Review 7：If I should pick something - there could be two bottles of each beverage in the minibar not one but... this is more of an advice towards perfection not a complaint! Still five stars hotel!

Review 8：Location was brilliant, wifi was brilliant and superfast! Place was big enough, superclean and beautiful and we loved the big terrace we had with our room. Together with the atmosphere this hotel should have fourth star. But it should get fifth star for the people who run the place! These people love what they do, they love to care about you, they show you directions, they will even bring you coffe to the terrace!!! Love you guys - best hotel on our trip through North-western Sicily!

Review 14：Hotel Cala Marina is perfectly located right on the harbor. The hotel provides a discount coupon for a terrific restaurant, La Cambusa, just a 3 minute walk along the harbor. The hotel was clean & quiet. The staff was friendly and they were able to answer all of our questions.

Review 22：A lovely hotel right on the sea and close to lovely restaurants. The breakfasts were good and there is a sitting area in front of the hotel where you can relax and have a drink.

Review 23：My only suggestion is for a detailed visual map with instructions for finding Cala Marina once you arrive in Castellmmare del Golfo. For the jet-lagged traveler, it can be quite an "adventure"! GPS doesn't seem to store the location based on the physical address, and I did finally have success with coordinates.

Review 24：We fell in love very quickly with Hotel Cala Marina, as well as the town of Castellmare del Golfo! Cala Marina is situated right on the charming harbor, and walking to various restaurants is very easy (excellent food in every one we tried!).The staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful, and they have someone on duty 24 hours a day. The rooms were delightful - roomy and comfortable, and always clean. Additionally, the breakfast buffet was full of choices compared to many I've experienced in Italy. We enjoyed our stay so very much and would do it all over again! Castellmare is a great town and very convenient for exploring the northwestern portion of Sicily.

Review 25：We had room 203 at the front of the hotel which had a small balcony with a delightful view of the harbour. If you can, definitely recommend going for one of these rooms as the views of the bay in the day and at night are lovely. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with all that you would expect from a three star hotel. Nice spacious bathroom en suite with a great shower. The hotel employees were all friendly and helpful from front desk and breakfast right through to the domestic staff. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied and staff were attentive to coffee orders and replenishing the items that had been eaten. Spent three nights here and could not have wished for a better experience.

Review 82：Lovely small hotel situated in the best possible location in Golfo di Castellammare - on the waterfront, and right in the old town near all the restaurants. We stayed for two nights, making it a base for exploring Zingaro Nature reserve, San Vito lo Capo, Scopello, Taormina and Erice which worked very well as they are a reasonably short drive away. It is a very peaceful spot to retreat to for the night, and it is definitely worth paying extra for the seafront view. Breakfast (including canolli!) can be served on the terrace by the sea in front of the hotel. Hotel recommends three restaurants with 19 euro three course special (with coupon from the hotel) which was very good food and a great value for money, especially for dinner.

Review 83：It was much noisier than we expected with late night traffic. There was a general lack of civic pride in & around the town For driving essential to have sat.nav, with so many small alleys ways.

Breakfast was generous with interesting savouryalternatives to the usual cakes. Convenient for the Zingaro Riservawhich is a must for coastal walking. The town has plenty of choice orrestaurants and has a real seaside buzz about it. If you like GreekTemples, Segesta is on 15 miles away in a beautiful location, despitelooking down on the autostrada.

Review 92：The friendly receptionist told me (with no hesitation whatsoever) that I could park the car just outside of the hotel only to find a parking ticket waiting for me the next morning! (and I'm Italian, so it wasn't a communication problem) We stayed at the hotel on a Friday night and there was a lot of noise from a bar nearby (a very loud disco beat). The music went on until about 2am and proved tricky to sleep.

A few nice little seafood restaurants a few metres away. All in all a great place to stay in northern Sicily. Review 102：I wish it had been clearer from the information on Booking.com or the confirmation that one should NOT TRUST GPS to get to the hotel. There is a perfectly good map on the hotel's website that, had we had it, would have saved us nearly an hour of heartache as the GPS sent us through very tiny streets in the town and tried to send us down streets that were nothing more than stairs, went over a cliff, or were one-way the wrong way.

Review 103：The hotel has a wonderful spot right on the marina, with a gorgeous view. Once we found it, parking was easy. The town and this hotel are a good base grom which to explore a part of Sicily we found particularly beautiful. There are many restaurants close by, which makes it nice.

Lots of Sicilians out with their families for Sunday lunch in nearby restaurant and again in evening. Good base for exploring this area. Visited Eriche and segesta,both within easy distance of castellamare. Close to nature reserve and unspoilt countryside and mountain roads.

Review 107：Castellammara del Golfo is a tricky town to find ones way around, so could make for problems locating the Cala Marina hotel, clients need to be told to make for the Porto. My family had stayed there previously so knew the route. The hotel does not have a lift so could be awkward for persons with mobility problems.

Review 116：The air conditioning is underdimensioned. We had very bad nights and could not sleep due to the heat. The hotel checked the equipment but didn't find any errors. Obviously the system is not sufficient to cool down all rooms. If you have trouble sleeping in hot rooms - don't come to this hotel in july!

Very helpful, like almost all locals inthis part of Sicily. Next to Cala Marina is a really nicecozzeria/restaurant, where you can order delicious fresh seefood dishesfor a very friendly price.
