Reviews for Ceol Na Mara Guesthouse & Self Catering

Review 1:We came from Kerry for two nights to enjoy a scenic drive up the coast and to surf in the area. It was a chilly off-season January weekend and cozy, welcoming Ceol Na Mara was the perfect stay. The spacious sea-view room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfy, the location was great and the delicious full Irish breakfast kept us going all day. Great value! (Enniscrone on a winter weekend is lovely. The town is quiet and there is a delicious restaurant and cozy pub a very short walk from the guesthouse)

Review 2:We had stayed there for a wedding so we were a little weary the following morning. Breakfast was at 9 til 11 which was great for us. The owner also gave us a lift to the hotle where wedding was on as taxis were few and far between which was really great. Would love to come back

Review 3:It was expensive for a single traveller in the off season ( €55 per night)

Review 4:The freshly cooked breakfast, no microwaved food. Tom kindly dried my wet gear after 4 hrs walking.

Review 5:I could not fault any aspect of my stay

Review 6:The proprietor was really helpful and the food was superb. Also the sea view from the dining room was amazing. I hope to stay there again

Review 7:Trying to find something bad ... the WiFi reception upstairs isn't great. So go downstairs and be with people where the signal is better, easy solution. You're not visiting the area to hang out in your room.

Review 8:The location at the center of town was very convenient. Jim provided a warm welcome and great advice on the area and the plans for the rest of my trip. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and filling of course.

Review 9:The internet kept cutting out and didn't work most of the time. I didn't have time to mention it though so they were unaware to try and fix it. Had I mentioned it I am sure it would have been taken care of.

Review 10:Located in a nice quiet town and walking distance from the beach. The room was comfortable and clean, the hosts were accommodating.

Review 11:A wonderful B&B in the small town of Enniscrone. The guest house is plenty large enough for four or more adults. Even a washing machine is available.Even though self-catering, breakfast can be arranged for 10 Euros for those who don't want to bother cooking themselves.

Review 12:Nothing! We hope to be back in the not distant future!

Review 13:Jim and his staff couldn't have been more helpful. The location was super - a couple of minutes from the beach and great hotels/bars for food. Suited Granny, 8 year old, Dad and Mum!

Review 14:Everything was perfect! Couldn't ask for more.

Review 15:Fantastic location, beautiful views, very very friendly and helpful staff. The best breakfast ever. Couldn't ask for more!

Review 16:Jim and his staff are very helpful. We arrived on motorbikes and were given ground floor rooms and parking for bikes right outside. The day we left it poured with rain and staff gave us a huge towel to wipe the bikes down. Very welcoming and homely place. Breakfast good

Review 28:Jim had the fire lit for us when we arrived and he provided a great welcome for us. Anything we needed over the weekend was no trouble for him. I think if I was visiting again I would go for longer, a weekend just flies! We ate in the Pilot bar and I thoroughly reccommend that too.

Review 29:The fridge was a little grubby and the WiFi had poor signal. But we weren't there for either of those!

Review 30:House is right at the beach and centrally located. The staff were excellent and had a fire going for us on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and safe parking for the car.

Review 31:The bedclothes were awful hairy blankets ? come on get some duvets it is2015. tv way to high you would want to be 12 ft tall to switch it on asit was turned of at the wall .

Review 43:In a lovely location, friendly staff who were at hand to help answer questions and make our stay as pleasurable as possible. Also advise us on what was on, where to visit and where to eat. In a good central position, close to beach, pier, shops, pubs and eateries. Friendly town with loads of things to do (for children also). A nice buzz about. Also close to go touring around to see more of mayo and into county Sligo. We'll be back.

Review 46:Great breakfast, friendly service, host was helpful in a very easy, laid back way. Nothing was a problem. He's interested and makes easy intelligent conversation without prying (which can be a problem is some Irish guesthouses that I've stayed in). Helpful with local area information and directions. The dining room overlooking the beach is wonderful. The reception room is big enough that 2 or 3 separate groups can have a conversation without intruding on each other.
