Reviews for Waterfront House
Review 1:Only one thing, delay in getting breakfast, think it might have been communication breakdown had to wait about 40 mins.
Review 2:Extremely friendly welcome, access to rooms regardless of time was great, fantastic service agreement within the community, lovely comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and food.
Review 3:Most pleasend stay and the view to the sea and beach is one of its best you can have in Ireland. The Waterfront House is a mixture of country and contemporary living very helpful service and breakfast is freshly served. We casn only recoment the Guest House and there is nothing to complain
Review 4:Dinner was delicious and breakfast was included and equally good. We had a lovely view of the ocean. The beach is easy to access and great for walking.
Review 5:I can't praise this hotel enough.. All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms immaculate and the seaviews amazing. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Can't wait to go back but next time we will stay longer.
Review 6:Absolutely nothing!
Review 7:During our visit to Ireland we stayed in 10 different bed and breakfasts and Waterfront House was by far the best. The owner is so wonderful and pleasant. The room was very large, clean and had an unbelievable view of the Atlantic Ocean. The free breakfast in the dining room was the most extensive we had in ten days with a huge variety of food both on the buffet table and to choose on the menu. I strongly suggest that if you need lodging in Enniscrone, make your reservation at this beautiful guest house.
Review 8:Our room was lovely, overlooking the bay, the rainbows and Enniscrone Golf Course across the vista, which is why we were there. The two dinners/breakfasts we enjoyed were superb!
Review 9:Not applicable
Review 10:The location and service was excellent from start to finish. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times. The food was excellent at breakfast and dinner
Review 11:Despite the fact we enjoyed our stay, the breakfast service was a bit of disappointment in terms of service which was rather very slow. The restaurant wasnt busy at that time (maybe one or two other tables) but still we had to wait a long time till the food was provided.
Review 12:The welcoming was magnificent. The lady at reception knew my name before it was provided and this was followed by a nice lill conversation. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom had bath/shower facilities, toilet etc., also spacious. We were going to have seaweed baths next door and coincidentally, Euro 5 discount was given for the baths which was excellent. We did not dine at the premises because the restaurant was fully booked for the night but we went to a different place. We did not get a room with the view but sitting outside on the bench was very enjoyable.
Review 13:We did not get the "twin room" we requested for the first night, but that was changed for the second night. Everything else went wonderfully.
Review 14:The manager Martina and all staff were wonderful. The view from our room was great. The restaurant is very good. Parking was easy.
Review 15:From the moment we entered the accommodation we were met with friendly staff, a well maintained and very clean room and facilities. Staff could not help you enough, nothing was too much to ask.
Review 16:The hotel restaurant is a bit overpriced. We would not dine there again. The town is a bit "depressing" as it is clearly a holiday resort for summer months. But then again... seaweed baths ;-))
Review 17:The lady at the desk was so friendly and nice that you would have liked to give her a hug. Our room had sea view and this was absolutely marvelous. Sleeping with the noise of the ocean: what a delight. Breakfast was very good too. But the highlight are the nearby seweed baths! I will go back there just for that! One of the best things i've ever experienced in my life.
Review 18:I loved everything about this hotel.
Review 19:This place was Amazing, Martina went above & beyond. Everything about this place was just excellent ! I would recommend this place to anyone. As a group of 6 women traveling this place was by far our favorite. We got there late & only stayed one night but Martina had the staff serve use a late tea with all the trimming & it was so nice. Kudos & thank you so much for your hospitality.
Review 20:Unfortunaly the bed I slept in was of a very poor quality. With such a beautiful large room holding two beds, single and double it being 2015, mattresses should match the quality of both the hotel and the customer paying for this standard comfort. Only very dissapointing element to my one night stay.
Review 21:Small hotel with friendly local Irish staff who were very helpful for one who was staying alone and wanted advice and conversation.
Review 22:great location by the sea and I asked for a room with a view which they obliged and remembered my story when we arrived. Everything was perfect except the TV which had very bad reception and very few stations which is no good if you are travelling with a Liverpool fan!
Review 23:No phones in the room or alarm clocks to wake you up early. But manageable with a cell phone or alarm on the I Pad. This was a minor inconvenience, as overall this was an excellent hotel.
Review 24:Incredible views of the waves crashing outside the front of the Hotel. Rooms are very efficiently appointed and comfortable. the owner, Martina, was wonderful and arranged an early breakfast so we could make a tee time at Lahinch. A shame that we could not stay to play the Enniscrone Dunes course (next time). Finally, a fantastic restaurant in the hotel. Everything you need in one location.
Review 25:With such a large room, it would be nice to have a queen size bed rather than a double. There were no tissues in the room and no face washer.
Review 26:We had a beautiful room overlooking the beach. It was spacious and comfortable. Our hostess was delightful. The restaurant was excellent.
Review 27:Fantastic boutique hotel with outstanding views and award winning restaurant. Staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 28:I booked this room for my elderly parents who were attending a wedding nearby. They were looked after exceptionally well, warmly greeted, shown to their beautiful room (using lift) overlooking the sea. The owner then kindly offered to drop them to the nearby hotel. Next morning they enjoyed a superb breakfast overlooking the bay. This was a gift for my parents and they were looked exceptionally well. The hospitality was superb. My parents said it was so much better than a hotel!
Review 29:Only there one nite.
Review 30:Martina was a welcoming inn keeper. She was proud of her town and the inn. She was solicitous of our needs and made sure we were comfortable.
Review 31:The only (very minor) issue was the free WiFi occasionally went down.
Review 32:Everything - best small hotel we've ever stayed in, just metres from, and overlooking, the 1 mile long beach and 1 minute from Kilcullen's Hot Seaweed Baths.
Review 33:Not a massive gripe, but during our evening meal in the "award winning restaurant", no one asked us if the meal was ok; also had to remind the waitress that I had ordered some wine which I wanted during my meal. The waitresses seemed extremely busy; probably down to a temporary staff shortage. Excellent food though.
Review 34:Huge bedroom, very well appointed, massive en suite. comfortable bed and great view. excellent food.
Review 35:The lovely welcome we received form the charming young man on Reception. He was so helpful All the staff are so friendly and take time to talk to you Looking out at the sea each morning while tucking into a beautiful breakfast . Rooms are so nice We have already booked a room for next August weekend as we go to a anniversary mass for my Brother in Mayo each August but like to stay in Enniscrone because of the wonderful location
Review 36:No newspapers or books to look at, no where really to sit to have a drink, few chairs/ couches in front but not enough. But then it was raining a lot and we spent more time indoors that we normally would on hols
Review 37:Overall v good stafff super friendly and genuine. V clean.
Review 38:There were roadworks right in front so was a little difficult to get to
Review 39:Pretty much everything. Beautiful location, large very comfortable oceanview room, very friendly helpful staff. We didn't eat dinner there but the breakfast was great.
Review 40:The weather was terrible, but we don't fault the hotel for that.
Review 41:The manager upgraded lur room, witout our asking, to give us an incredible view. The room and bath were enourmous.
Review 42:The staff, the location, the food, the cleanliness, the view from our bedroom, the friendliness at reception when we booked in,And to top it all the peace and quiet.
Review 43:I ordered the "banquet seafood" meal and waited over 40 mins for the 3rd course. Overall I think it was way overpriced at €39.00 . The 4th course was tasteless .The rest of the party really enjoyed their meals. I was the only one who ordered the "banquet seafood"
Review 44:location and friendly staff
Review 45:From the moment we walked through the door nothing was too much trouble for Martina and her staff. Lovely rooms, spacious, well equipped and very clean. Thank you so much Martina!
Review 46:Shame I had no time to experience the seaweed baths!
Review 47:I had to fly out of Knock the next day and this was a lovely place at a reasonable distance for returning the hire car etc...
Review 48:Lovely modern small hotel with a superb location overlooking the bay. Staff are exceedingly helpful. Restaurant meal was very well done and the service superb. Very comfortable and clean.
Review 49:From the moment u walk in the door it's so welcoming staff so friendly even walk u up to ur room, ideal location for a relaxing break, and breakfast in morning has lovely select to cater for all
Review 50:Nothing, it was all fantastic
Review 51:Martina and all of her staff were amazing. Such a beautiful place with an amazing view. Friendliest staff I have ever come across. Martina cant do enough for you, she upgraded us for our wedding anniversary, such a lovely thing to do, view from our room was breath taking, Martina made our weekend, waterfront house is a credit to her, will definitely be back!!!
Review 52:Nothing
Review 53:Booked the weekend for the wifes birthday,so needed somewhere perfect. The food was excellent, good breakfast menu.friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful.good spacious room and bathroom which were also spotless.had the room with the sea view which was outstanding.walking distance to beach ,restaurants and pubs.would definitely go back
Review 54:Dreadful service in the restaurant at dinner from surly teenage waiting staff. Food at dinner not all that had been promised.
Review 55:Amazing views over the Atlantic
Review 56:Noise in our bedroom. we seemed to be directly over a fan or a boiler which ruined the peacefulness.Room 109.
Review 57:Bed was comfortable.Breakfast was very good great selection.
Review 58:Breakfast chefs of Ireland should be made to go to the Waterfront to see how a Full Irish should be done. Cooked to order (no sitting on a hot plate for an hour to shrivel and dry) the ingredients are fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. I haven't tasted mushrooms or black pudding this good for decades.
Review 59:I forgot to ask for sea view room but as our stay was only one night it wasn't a problem really.
Review 60:Idyllic location with amazing views within walking distance if everything. Would recommend this hotel to others without any hesitation. Breakfast cooked to order not sitting in serving dish as in most other hotels waiting for you to serve yourself. First class food.
Review 61:We couldnt have dinner here as it was full, will know to book ahead next time.
Review 62:Fabulous location, beautiful house, breakfast was amazing with a great menu and choice. Very comfy bed, nice airy room. Great shower. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.
Review 63:The location of The Waterfront House was excellent as was the location of the room with a view out over the bay and out to sea. The staff were friendly. The room was very comfortable with a spacious en suite. The parking was close and convenient. A real treat.
Review 64:Personal service, great food and the magnificent view across Enniscrone beach. Absolutely loved the enormous bedroom (203) - except the queen size double bed was disproportionately small for it :-)
Review 65:Nothing to dislike. Food and servis was great too. Food was even reheated later due to having to rush for appointment!!!
Review 66:Very friendly and helpful staff. Proprietor greeted us which was old fashioned friendly but very efficient. Every thing about the place was perfect..view from window spectacular.
Review 67:Location, location, location. We had a clear uninterrupted view over the strand from our bedroom, the restaurant was excellent and we were only 5 mins stroll to the main street
Review 68:This was an excellent place to stay. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. We also had breakfast . Twas very nice meal with a beautiful view out of the window.
Review 69:My room faced the back so no sea view, small TV with no remote control
Review 70:Very clean, warm welcome, lovely breakfast, location is right on the sea front, comfortable bed
Review 71:The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel was warm, cosy and clean with a blazing fire and the smell of Christmas tree everywhere. The best thing was opening the curtains in the morning to the most amazing view of the bay. The hotel is literally right on the beach and beside a great surf spot, seaweed baths and nice local bars. Would definitely go back!
Review 72:Nothing to add here no matter how hard I try.
Review 73:Very well run, appointed and maintained. Outstanding quality of management and maintenance, way better that many 4 star hotels, standard of cleaning is amazing.
Review 74:We were greated by martina who was welcoming and very nice. The room over looked the sea it was very spacious and very clean.we had dinner here to and it was one of the best meals we have had. Breakfast was devine. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I cant wait to go back! !!!
Review 75:Smell of smoke on the 1st floor corridor.
Review 76:The location is excellent, very near the village, but yet nice quiet area. Lovely for a seaside walk or swim !
Review 77:The Christmas music piped outside the B&B, where no one was sitting anyway, given it was Winter. It was a pity to not just be able to hear the roaring ocean when you opened your bedroom window.
Review 78:The staff were really friendly, the food was excellent and it was very reasonably priced.
Review 79:Corridor smelt of smoke but everything else was great!
Review 80:Martina is a fabulous host, would highly recommend this guesthouse. Right on the sea shore, make sure to ask for a room with a view. Seaweed baths three doors down. Perfect for a chilled out weekend.
Review 81:The Waterfront and its staff were personable and very helpful. The facility was spotless. Food was beautiful. Certainly would recommend this hotel for any occasion

Review 83:Nothing worth mentioning
Review 84:The staff were very friendly and the food is superb with greta choice and value for money. we had to check out early and they supplied a continental breakfast to the room
Review 85:From check in to check out the service is excellent. The food in yhe restaurant is top notch. It's great to sip a glass of wine watching the waves roll onto the beach. Our upstairs toom was spacious and very clean!
Review 86:Bed too soft Bed should be king size not double Noisy bathroom above and adjacent
Review 87:Excellent quality food Excellent service Friendly and attentive staff Good choice of menu

Review 100:Martina at the reception was so friendly and welcoming. We thorough enjoyed our stay there and will certainly be back. Couldn't praise the place highly enough!!!
Review 101:We booked a 2 night stay in The Waterfront for Saturday and Sunday night. My email stated that I had booked a sea view deluxe room. However when we arrived at 2pm on Saturday we were informed by proprietress Martina that the sea view room was only available for Sunday night. We were given room 110 on Saturday night which is at back of guesthouse. Noise from extractor fan outside window is quite loud and goes on all night. When I complained about not having the sea view room for both nights I was told that it was because I had booked it on Booking.com and the room was not available for both nights. I got €20 discount on bill.
Review 102:This guesthouse is situated overlooking a beautiful beach. Views from restaurant and some bedrooms are beautiful. Lovely walks nearby. Hotels and pubs nearby had good entertainment on Saturday night.
Review 103:Background music from restaurant could be heard in bedroom, got a bit annoying after awhile.
Review 104:Amazing food and service, brilliant location with a brilliant view.
Review 105:Beds quite small and not particularly comfortable
Review 106:Very clean, lovely and helpflul staff, really good breakfast with a particularly wide range of gluten free cereal.
Review 107:Music from the restaurant was piped through to outside (or so it seemed). Could be heard clearly in the bedrooms located at the front of the hotel.
Review 108:Proximity to the beach. Courteous, friendly and attentive staff. Lovely food.
Review 109:bath towels are too small bathsheets would work better the bathroom is massive needs something to make it warmer looking
