Review 4：Lots of signs made finding la fenice facile. Didn't have to scramble for a map! This is major for drivers! Room was biggest of my trip so far.

Review 5：The hotel closed after 20.30 and there was not anyone available to attend an emergency. There was not a twin-bed room option. Bed was uncomfortable and noisy.

Review 6：First time in Massa Marittima in Mid August 2014, we had the Suite "Elba" in the La Fenice, a beautiful, spacious suite on top floor (=attic). The bed was comfy, everything was there (kitchen, bathtub, bidet, etc.). The WiFi was quite reliable. Breakfast was good, especially since we could take it out to the wonderful garden. If you are afraid of pigeons, I recommend not staying in the attic though (you will hear them scratch on the tiles in the morning). There is a very small swimming pool that is completely sufficient for a short refreshment, but - alas - you won't be able to practice for the 200m-dolphin butterfly stroke competition. The main square of Massa Marittima is a short walk away - a beautiful medieval town that is worth the stay. The staff was very friendly, especially Beatrice who welcomed us every morning for the breakfast. In total, we liked every minute of our stay in La Fenice and would recommend it for the future.
