Reviews for Heatons Guesthouse

Review 1:WOW!! is all I can say. Heaton's is a hidden gem. We booked an upgraded room and I must say it was more like a high end hotel room rather than a B&B/Guesthouse. The weather wasn't to good with Storm Frank raging so our drive along the coast was cut short. We returned to the warmth of Heaton's and found that not only were tea and coffee available free in the lounge but a number of tasty treats to accompany it too. Our room was well appointed and large. We had a comfy chairs which were great considering the weather conditions as we were in our room a little more than expected. Then breakfast. I have never seen a breakfast selection with more than TWO a$ pages to choose from. The cold buffet and cereals etc. was a HUGE selection and then the hot options. My partner had the special porridge with cream brown sugar and Drambuie. A very special treat as it was Christmas! The Irish breakfast was superb. Quality ingredients are obvious to spot and we certainly had them in abundance. I am a fan of Black Pudding so the Filo Baskets with onion jam, pudding and local blue cheese melted on top was a big breakfast treat. I would defy anyone to find fault in any thing at Heaton's. If we are back ij Dingle any anytime in the future we won't even think about searching for a place to stay as in my opinion this is the only place to go to! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly too and all in all was an excellent three days we had.

Review 2:Can't find anything, only the weather.

Review 3:Loved the premises so tastefully decorated, warm, welcoming and very comfortable. Bed and bedding were of high quality and all exceptionally clean. Loved the breakfast , the choice and quality was the best we've had. Not forgetting the warm mince pies served on arrival with cranberry filling were divine. Cameron was always on hand to assist. All in all a great experience will definitely return.

Review 4:Excellent, top hotel quality establishment in a guesthouse. We were given a very warm welcome and neither me nor my girlfriend can fault the property or the staff, very impressed and hope to go back there someday.

Review 5:We really enjoyed the friendliness and personal attention that Heaton's provided. Breakfast was a delightful experience, great service, great food and a wonderful room to enjoy the view of the bay. Keep up the good work, we would like to come again. JG

Review 6:We loved the efficiency and friendliness of the staff and general cleanliness of the establishment . Our deluxe room was extremely comfortable and had a great terrace with lovely sea views. The superb breakfast menu is not an exaggeration - the kippers were very special! Fresh chocolate cake & tea in the lobby every day... There was nothing wrong at all with this accommodation!

Review 7:Best food of any B&B stayed at over 3 week period in Ireland. Large, very well appointed accommodations. Very friendly owner and staff. Very high standards maintained throughout all aspects of its operation.

Review 8:Lovely spacious room with an absolutely gorgeous bathroom. Huge bed that was almost too comfy to get out of. My favourite part was the absolute quality standard of food, Would highly recommend.

Review 9:This guesthouse is located a short walk from Dingle, faces the bay, and is less than a quarter mile from the start of the Slea Head drive around Dingle Peninsula. The house is comfortably decorated but luxurious. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and designed to be a home away from home. Every detail has been managed to provide a 5 star stay. All of that plus chocolate cake at tea time and the most delicious breakfast selections ever! Heaton Guesthouse is one of the best places I've ever stayed! Don't miss the opportunity to stay here if you are visiting Dingle!

Review 10:Very personal, but the curtain in the room was not thick enough in my opinion and the room was too bright at night. Although there's not much traffic, it can get noisy at times due to the cars.

Review 11:Excellent breakfast, very tidy and clean room with super nice furniture, normally underrated detail such as a bottle of water in the room was a pleasure. The toiletries are much over the standard!

Review 12:The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean & the bed was so comfortable. The view is stunning and the breakfast was delicious! The guesthouse is located just a short walk from the pubs and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Review 13:No fire lit in the fireplace at night. It would have been cozy to sit in the lounge area with a fire going.

Review 14:The Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Location was great, walking distance to town. Chocolate cake with tea and coffee in the afternoon.

Review 15:Heatons Guesthouse exceeded expectations in that we were made to feel right at home in a beautiful, waterfront, well appointed B&B. The choices for breakfast were abundant, and without a doubt the tastiest during our 3 week stay in western Ireland. The walk to town took about 10 minutes, and was invigorating. Overall, one of the best stays!

Review 16:-

Review 17:- located 10 minutes from Dingle city centre - nice views - spacious room and bathroom - amazing chocolate cake in the afternoon - wonderful breakfast - good base for the Slea Head Drive

Review 18:We were greeted by an extremely helpful host. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast menu offered many selections and was a nice change from "the full Irish breakfast" and/or porridge that we found elsewhere.

Review 19:Great views of bay and hills. Best breakfast options ever! Warm comfortable attmosphere. Helpful friendly staff. Nice location near main town but in a quiet area.

Review 20:Very loud noise in our bedroom when we arrived which made it hard to relax. Went on for about 30minutes. Think it was to do with fire or water system down stairs.

Review 21:Breakfast.

Review 22:The beds could have been a little more comfortable. But not bad compared to our other stays in Ireland.

Review 23:We loved the delicious breakfast, amazing view and the staff that went above and beyond the norm to make us comfortable.

Review 24:No complaints whatsoever.

Review 25:Loved the staff friendly suggestions and the proximity (short walk) to town but far enough away to be peaceful. Breakfast was better than expected and made us wish we had more time to spend there.

Review 26:The location was a good little walk/short drive from the main part of town, but staying here was well worth it! They have very friendly owners, amazingly delicious breakfast included in the price, and overall just a lovely place to stay.

Review 27:Everything. Room beautifully appointed and view lovely onto the Dingle seafront. Shower powerful although there was a bit leak due to the shower curtain not fitting properly. Breakfast superb. So much choice and plentiful both from the buffet and the hot menu all served in a light and airy conservatory with stunning views. Really set us up for the day. Lovely guest sitting room to relax and view restaurant menu's with tea/real coffee and homemade chocolate cake. A real treat!

Review 28:Rooms were a bit small but not a problem.

Review 29:The breakfast's served here are phenominal! You won't have a better breakfast anywhere. Location is a bit out of town but not a bad walk. Great place.

Review 30:Simply the best bang for buck I've ever seen from a hotel or B & B. Stay 180 nights a year on road and this was simply as good as it could possibly be....second generation owner David is in a league of his own...he is the standard that no one seems to get to!

Review 31:There was nothing to take issue with.

Review 32:Our hosts were warm and accommodating. They have us good advice about where to go for dinner and hear good music. We had a gourmet breakfast while visiting with other guests in a pretty dining room overlooking the Dingle Harbour.

Review 33:Rooms were good size and showers were nice and hot with free amenities. The best part of the stay was the breakfast. I'm happy to have stayed two days to try two breakfasts. I loved both the Traditional Irish and the Kippers.

Review 34:Absolutely delicious breakfast with buffet of bread pudding, fresh fruit, scones, cheese, and cured meats. The cooked breakfast was also incredibly tasty and we were pleasantly stuffed by all the great food!

Review 35:Friendly informative service, spotlessly clean and five star quality breakfast. Very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was close to the entrance and we didn't hear any noise from guests coming in late at night. I would highly recommend the guest house.

Review 36:One grouch is the weak wifi, which was not only inconsistent across the property but annoyingly kept dropping out. Fix that and the place is perfect.

Review 37:Beautifully decorated throughout, with very comfortable public seating area, with one pair of chairs in a gem of a bay view window which indeed looks over the beautiful Dingle bay. Room (3) was spacious, immaculate, well equipped and extremely comfortable bed. Hospitality wonderful from the moment we arrived to when we left. And the undoubtedly the best breakfast (both buffet & especially cook to order) we have ever had in a lifetime of travelling far & wide.

Review 38:A beautiful location with a quick and pleasant walk downtown, perfect location. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff; room felt simple and refined and was so comfortable. We wish we had stayed here longer.

Review 39:Right from the location of the property to the welcome, the availability of staff, the food, the setting of the rooms, this place is an absolute must stay in Dingle. Slightly more pricey than places in Galway and Killarney, but, for the overall experience, this is a 10/10.

Review 40:I cannot say one negative thing about Heaton's! Just lovely!

Review 41:What a gem of a guesthouse! Top notch service, five stars! The breakfast is incredible. Dave creates fresh made dishes along with a fantastic continental spread. Truly the best breakfast in all of Ireland! You can have your standard Irish along with cooked to order egg dishes, pancakes and more. Dishes are presented like a five star restaurant. The room was small but quite comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful. Bed was also very comfortable. The hotel was quiet at night and we had a lovely view of the bay.

Review 42:Great rooms with an amazing view of the bay, the breakfast was incredible and so much variety that was cooked to order. Very friendly people and were mad to feel that no request was too much.

Review 43:We where at this B&B for two night and the room was never turned over, bed made, bathroom cleaned etc. we brought this matter to the owners attention the following who was on top if the matter very quickly and was very apologetic.

Review 44:Staff, location and views were amazing

Review 45:We felt at home! It as very comfortable, there was free delicious homemade chocolate cake every day, and the people who worked there were fabulous. David was a wonderful chef and the breakfasts were fantastic! Our overall experience was first rate! We loved it!!

Review 46:It is hard to find anything we didn't like...but maybe stronger wifi so you could access it from the room instead of having to sit in the sitting room.

Review 47:The staff were friendly and helpful. We were most impressed with the excellent breakfast cuisine. Delicious and beautifully presented.

Review 48:We were greeted immediately and it was a lovely place. They went the extra mile for everything. When I come back to Dingle I'll make sure I stay tere again. Views were great too.
