Reviews for Grand Hotel Terme

Review 1:Our room was nice but the A/C never cooled. I called down 3 times the man came up and said it was set at maximum and that was as good as it would get. We had to open the doorway to the hall all night to get some air. We would have opened the balcony but that's another story! The shower water was brown and full of sand. The lady ran it for close to an hour scalding hot to try to clear it of sand. The room became a sauna and stayed that way for hours. The water never fully cleared. Unfortunately they placed glasses in the bathroom so my husband felt it ok to drink some water with his medication and ended up with a bad cause of diarrhea. When I found out they have sea water filtered in the facility I asked why they place glasses in the bathroom and was told it was to put something in. Like your tooth brush. If the water is un drinkable they should remove the glasses! This was to be my husbands birthday surprise weekend and it turned into the worst trip of our 33 years of marriage. To top off the disaster the music was so loud that night we could feel the vibration and hear it on the 5 th floor until 2am. This is why we did not open the balcony doors. When we called to complain the front desk said it was a private party and they could do nothing. Never again best describes our experience. When I complained upon check out I did not feel they really cared. I figure that I am an American and they are in Italy so no one cared because they probably thought they would not see us again. It is true the won't see us again but really ashame because we spend 3 to 6 months in Italy ever year as we have a home there and we enjoy the beaches. I booked two rooms for one night and we had lunch and the bill was 600.00. It is listed as 4 stars but according to USA standards I would give it 1 for service and 2 1/2 for the facility. Sorry I wish it had turned out better.

Review 2:The beach was nice but it was closed Sunday morning when we wanted to go swimming early.

Review 3:Going home. Paying for the beach should have a reduction

Review 4:Lovely hotel with wonderful facilities. Even though the parking was expensive it was lovely service valet parking. Terme spa food everything.

Review 5:Very old building. Can't enjoy if u do not have spa aim

Review 6:Good to swim and spa

Review 7:hotel was clean, all the staff were very friendly and helpful

Review 8:Accommodation was very dated and breakfast was disappointing.

Review 9:Hotel was clean and location was good. Reception staff were pleasant.

Review 10:- not fresh croissants on the breakfast (I guess they were made a day before) - quality of coffee

Review 11:- personal at the reception desk - location - beach

Review 12:Dinner at the hotel seemed to be overpriced. The food was good, but tooexpensive. There are, however, many other options on the boardwalk thatruns in front of this and the other many hotels on the coast.

Review 13:The staff were friendly and helpful. English speaking staff were readilyavailable, which was helpful. Parking was at a nearby public lot, but wegot a 37% discount on the cost as we were guests of the hotel. Parkingwas about three blocks away, but one of the staff went with me to showme where it was and to ensure I received the discount. They had a verynice breakfast buffet, but other meals were too expensive. Swimming attheir private beach is free, but you have to pay for an umbrella andlounge chairs if you want them.

Review 14:It cost 20 euros to park your car in the garage for one night - seems very expensive.

Review 15:Beautiful room, great views, nice terrace overlooking the beach.

Review 16:cost of parking

Review 17:seafront balcony
