Reviews for Camere Dentro Il Castello
Review 1:The room was fair and nice but pretty small. Toilet size not recommended for big people. It would have been nice to have a kettle to make your own tea in the cold winter. I found the price expensive for low season considering the facilities. (it is just a room in an old building. Lovely, but it is not a hotel)
Review 2:It was a great opportunity to stay in a medieval town inside of the fortress. Great experience!!
Review 3:You have to go down road a bit and check in at restaurant. A bit inconvenient since nobody mentioned this in advance and we only figured out when we went in s shop to ask if they knew where hotel was and the shop owner explained. Then we got to restaurant and the guy was polite enough but we had to sit there about 20 min while he called somewhere and did paperwork. He then finally walked us to the property. Up a dark staircase. Never saw staff again. No wifi.
Review 4:Great location. Spacious living room area off our bedroom.
Review 5:They should really do something with the air-conditioning system in the rooms. We couldn't sleep at all. Especially the room upstairs was so hot!
Review 6:Location but the town is so tiny anywhere inside the walls would be the same.
Review 7:Nothing, only thing may be that in summer the bedroom upstairs on the balcony area in the quadruple room may get very warm - it was end of April when we stayed
Review 8:Fantastic location within the old "town" walls. Would highly recommend!
Review 9:Nothing at all!
Review 10:Everything - we had the smallest bedroom but with a fantastic shared living room it didn't matter. A truly magical experience to stay within the walls of Monteriggiano & at a very reasonable price.
Review 11:Main living area was lovely but little reason to ever use it. Could have done with somewhere to make o drink or a snack.
Review 12:The apartment couldn't have been in a better location and was clean and charming. Teenage daughter loved having her own space on the upper level. Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Review 13:We were 3 adults walking the Via Francigena and found the accommodation in Room 3 to be unsuitable. The raised level sleeping area under the roof, with its extremely low roof beams is only really suitable for children. And as the sleeping area is totally unventilated and immediately under the roof tiles, it was extremely hot at night. The accommodation overall is hot and stuffy and rather overpriced.
Review 14:Beautiful location in Montereggiano.
Review 15:Booking building hard to find
Review 16:Location could not be better and the room itself is beautiful.
Review 17:Beautiful location in Monteriggioni, very quiet and nice view. The owner (who is also the owner of the restaurant Da Remo - Il Piccolo Castello) was so nice and helpful: we had no car (hikers) and didn't know the Il Piccolo Castello Hotel (where you have to pick up the keys for the room) was a few kms downhill so he sent us a car from the Hotel and then back to the room! The Da Remo restaurant is very, very nice
