Reviews for Errisbeg Lodge B&B
Review 1:Bedroom a white box. No easychair or sofa just a single cheap hard chair which meant you had to use bed. There was a living room but it was never made clear if we could use it and each night the owners husband was in it watching football on the TV with the room lights off. Breakfast HAD TO be taken by 9 at the latest no variation allowed. Breakfast was filling but quality not too great. No Irish fry just scrambled eggs with bacon (or not). Bread and marmalade shop bought. Small glass of cheapish orange juice. Generally a tight budget on food. Not a home from home, would not return.
Review 2:Location opp a great beach. Lady owner welcoming and chatty with lots of advice on what to see. Bedroom comfortably warm. This part of Ireland is beautiful.
Review 3:Bathroom was not great.
Review 4:Hosts, Jack and Shirley, were exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming. Fabulous location. Wonderful access to areas of interest.
Review 5:Errisbeg B&B is highly recommended, the location is fabulous (perfect for a few days of total relax), the room is very clean, the breakfast tasty and Shirley is a lovely woman and a good chef! I'll come back for sure!
Review 6:I stayed for 3 nights August 21st-23rd. Shirley was absolutely lovely, couldn't have done more for us. She was always ready to help in any way she could, giving us information about the area and suggestions about where to eat etc. Breakfast was great nice selection of fruit and hot or cold options. The place was spotless, everything fresh and clean. We felt very welcome.I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Review 7:The older man who scolded me in front of my 12 year old inappropiate speak when i questioned his price which was not the price on my original search, besides. That it was like he and his strange acting wife ganged up when questioned about over pricing, a rip off. For b&b .. No hot water , horrible breakfast, dirty sheets , rude attitude , unprofessional thses people should not be allowed to be in this kind of service industry, they had reformitory old ireland school attitude .. On the defensive too quickly when asked asked about over pricing , tried to cover it up complaining about our arrival time when we had driver for 5 hours , it was the first day of our holiday, they would scare anyone coming to stay in the west of ireland, a very bad representation of irish welcome ... It was disgusting awful experience ... We stayed nearby the next night and it seems they are known for bad attitude unprofesional aggressive ... The son seemed nice but my god awful older couple running a bad show .. Dont stay here we were traumatized by the treatment
Review 8:The son who greeted us on arrival
Review 9:Incredible location and views!! The owners, Jack and Shirley, were so warm and welcoming and very friendly. We were only here for one night and day, but really enjoyed it.
Review 10:Leaving
Review 11:Shirley and Jack were wonderful hosts. She made us feel welcome immediately and he gave great advice on hiking in the area and attending a sporting event in Dublin.
Review 12:There should be a bike rental due to the fact that Roundstone Village is about 3km away...the mattresses were awful and the opposite of hard...due to the fact that this bed and breakfast is pretty expensive - the breakfast was okay...breakfast TIL 9am on holidays is not nice...and for so much money you could expect a bit more! The landlady starts cleaning the rooms around 09:15 am - so forget to spent a rainy day in bed
Review 13:Nice view to the sea
Review 14:I had a wonderful experience.
Review 15:I was greeted warmly, and made to feel at home right away. Had a peaceful night and a generous breakfast with great conversation to help plan my day. I would strongly recommend the Errisbeg Lodge B&B!!!!
Review 16:It may seem a strange 'didn't like' but there was no towel rail in the bathroom!
Review 17:The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast menu had a lovely choice
Review 18:-That we could not stay longer.
Review 19:Stunning location. Bright comfortable bedroom with wonderful views.Excellent breakfasts. Jack and Shirley are great hosts, welcoming andhelpful, lent us books, magazines and CDs. Worth every euro!
Review 20:Errisbeg lodge was modern clean and comfortable. Very close to the beautiful beach and the centre of town was a short drive away. Breakfast was excellent. The thing that I will remember most about this B&B was Shirley, our host. She provided a warm welcome and was very helpful with advice and tips. After just a single night stay we felt we had known her for a long time. Highly recommend Errisbeg Lodge!
Review 21:Nope, can't think of anything
Review 22:Great Place with a beautiful view on the long sandy beach. Wonderful Land Lady, who saw to all our needs and made a great breakfast. I would recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a stay with peace and comfort any time
Review 23:Fabulous location , great accomodation and wonderful hosts at the Errisberg Lodge. It was a joy to stay . Thank you Shirley and Jackie.Hope to see you both very soon
Review 24:Wonderfull views. Near to the ocean and the mountains. Very hospitable landlady. Parking. Wi-Fi. Silence. Bardzo miły pensjonat. Blisko pięknej plaży i gór. Bardzo miła właścicielka, chętnie wdająca się w rozmowy. Cisza i widoki. Polecam.
Review 25:poor breakfast, no common room, either in our room or out of the lodging. no real place to sit outside and enjoy the lovely site.
Review 26:location, hosts were nice
Review 27:1.Very annoying host, difficoult to feel comfortable in such conditions. She got angry when I said that we should stay less days then I booked because of uncomfortable location. So she did a "revanche" and next day I got a plastic bag with rabbish upon the food in the table in my room. When I asked her why she did it,she answered that I am lying and I did it myself!!!! Yes,it very difficoult to believe,I was chocked too...2. There is NO Wi-FI !!!! Some little spot 1-2 meters around living room, but nothing in the rooms. Living room was normally occupied by the someone of the hosts family, because they wanted to watch footboll. 3.there is a beach close to this place, but the guests should be informed first that it is NOT allowed to swim there because of dirty water. Unfortunately,I found this annoncement on the beach after we took bath...The host said that we should absolutely go to the beach and swim...just wonder if it was ok for us??? ............. The worst of all that www.booking.com dont take any responsability for information they provide and never answered my email about very strange situation in this Hotel.I needed advice and help with cancelling of this booking because everithing went completely wrong from the first day... I never got any response from someone in booking.com and was forced to stay while I did not feel good and pay full amount of money. 90euro per night in such place in really overpayed!!! 50 euro is highest possible and NOT recommended!!!
Review 28:The rum was quite little, but the bed is comfortable Beautiful viewfrom window
Review 29:Room had moths. Bit like we were intruding. Late check in, early check out. Breakfast limited. Expensive for what you get.

Review 45:Jack and Shirley were absolutely brilliant hosts, helpful and full of fun.The B and B is in an excellent position with walking access to a fabulous promontory beach and only a couple of minutes drive to lovely Roundstone. Breakfasts were excellent.
Review 46:No Internet in our room however we were made welcome to use the Internet in the comfortable hallway, being summer, we used it on the outside chairs overlooking the bay.
Review 47:This place is a hidden gem. The location and the access to one of the prettiest, person friendly beaches we have come across in Ireland (now almost seen 3/4 of Ireland's coast). The venue was clean, tidy and comfortable. The hosts were brilliant. It was easy to find and disability friendly as the was a man who required a wheel chair also staying the same night we did. Back to the 3 minute walk to this beach, this was breath taking. White sands, clear waters and even a pod of dolphins were swimming in the bay the evening we arrived. My partner went swimming, it was too nice not too. Highly recommend this as a place to stay. Lovely location at the foot of the mountains.
Review 48:Towels didn't dry, change them, luxuries in the bathroom were missing, no individual soaps or shampoo, no TV in room, no tissues, pillows had a used smell to them, expensive tariff with all the above things missing and need to highlight that it is a cash only B and B
