Reviews for Dingle Marina Lodge

Review 1:No lift and a lot of stairs to climb to get to our room. Milk was sour had to ask for milk in jug. Thought for time of year a bit pricy considering breakfast was extra

Review 2:I liked the location. Fresh towels every day. The view was lovely from our room.

Review 3:We had a very large and comfortable room, and a view of the harbor, Thomas the innkeeper was extremely helpful and friendly, and cooked us a wonderful hearty breakfast.

Review 4:Staff was incredibly kind and down to earth. Very helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. This honestly is the perfect location to stay in dingle. It is directly across from the marina, which places you just out of the busier part of the town, but only a 2 min walk from all the food, shops, and bars. If your looking for a 5 star luxury hotel that your going to stay inside most of the trip, this may not be the place(this is why we chose it), however, it's vey comfortable and offers a great experience to explore dingle without having to be far from town center. Trust me, if your looking for the perfect place to stay, and adventure out from, this is place! Thanks again for the hospitality, we really enjoyed your place!

Review 5:No parking left for us so we had to park in lot across the st and wake up by 8 am nxt day to rebuy our parking ticket. No traditional irish breakfest Had to pay in cash sonce their credit machine was broken

Review 6:Great location, friendly staff

Review 7:The location of this hotel is perfect. It is an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of Dingle and just across the street from the boat trips. We very much enjoyed the boat trip to see Fungi, the Dolphin.

Review 8:The Marina Lodge was ideally situated next to the water with car parking available at the Lodge. Our room was ideal with comfortable beds, en-suite facilities (including a fantastic shower), TV & tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was as big or as small as you wanted and the owners cater not just for the British and Irish, but for Canadians and Americans who outnumbered us one morning!

Review 9:Bathroom was nasty with lots of mold. The bedroom seemed clean enough but the whole place seemed shabby and neglected.

Review 10:Room size was good and water front view nice. Breakfast cooked to order was good. Location was great.

Review 11:Only small things, no bath and could do with a small fridge for storing drinks or milk if you wanted to make a cup of tea or store food.

Review 12:Perfect location in the heart of dingle, beside the aquarium and overlooking the marina. The guest house is purpose built so very comfortable and the rooms are big and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't opt for breakfast either day as the town has nice places to eat.

Review 13:Shower did not work upon arrival - had workers inour room for an hourworking on it. The next morning we had a shower but could not adjust thetemp. Light bulbs buned out in 1 of the few lights in the room. Just notup to par with the other palces we booked on your site. We were given adiscount but nothing that made up for the inconvenience and discomfort.

Review 14:Great location, clean, and very friendly staff

Review 15:Breakfast was nothing to write home about. I love my Irish homemade brown bread and I got cheap shop bought which was disappointing. No full Irish breakfast offered which is understandable with the amazing room rates.

Review 16:Very spacious room overlooking the Marina. Could not here other guests late at night. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Review 17:The mattress could've been firmer. The bathroom is in need of some TLC.

Review 18:The location along the foreshore allowed easy proximity to the town, as well as a springboard to fun outdoor activities such as walking and fishing. The owners provided wonderful suggestions to excellent dining.

Review 19:2 single beds, mattress on one of the beds was no good, the other mattress was much better

Review 20:very nice personal, I forgot a phone charger and they sent it back to me to Dublin, I really appreciate that :)

Review 21:The hot water maker in my room for coffee/tea was broken. I really needed that but didn't get a replacement when I reported it. ! :(

Review 22:Good location on the marina

Review 23:Slightly over priced in comparison to some of the other B &B's we used on our trip

Review 24:Location was great and so was the breakfast. Large rooms too.

Review 25:The beds were a little hard but after a full day of travel we were still able to get good nights rest

Review 26:Mostly Everything was great especially the staff!

Review 27:we were told at check in that their credit card machine was not working. I had heard that at another place as well so I'm not sure if they just didnt want to take credit cards but it could put someone in a real bind if they don't have the cash or a atm card.

Review 28:location was excellent. beautiful view out of window to marina. walk to shopping and restaurants. staff was very nice. beds were comfortable.

Review 29:We were told by booking.com that breakfast was included in the price but upon arrival we were informed that this wasn't the case. We had no issue paying for the breakfast but we were expecting it to be included as per the description on booking.com

Review 30:The staff were lovely and friendly and the place was spotless. The location was perfect as well

Review 31:Perfect location in Dingle - easy walk to everything. Great breakfast - worth the extra 6 euros. room was spacious. Manger was great and recommended a fabulous restaurant - I would book again the next time I am in Dingle

Review 32:Nothing !

Review 33:Excellent location & short walk into the centre, free wifi, free parking although a space isn't guaranteed. There's very well priced car parking directly across the road. Comfy room and bed. Option to have breakfast if you want.

Review 34:A lovely guest house .New walk in shower plenty big bathroom. The best french toast and maple syrup I've ever tasted . The owner was so pleasant.highly recommend this guest house great location and safe car park at the back

Review 35:Convenient location without being in the very busy heart of Dingle. The lodge was clean, comfortable and quiet. The manager was very welcoming and helpful. Start the day with the Dingle Marina Lodge's hearty breakfast in this beautiful area of Ireland.

Review 36:Very close to town. Small and quiet. Helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast accomodating to my gluten free diet. Good recommendations for dinner. Parking. Lovely views

Review 37:Wifi wasn't accessable unless you stayed in the lobby. Beds were a bit soft, but the room was clean. Decor was a bit dated...but not an issue at all.

Review 38:The location was amazing...we had a room on the top floor, overlooking the bay...couldn't have asked for better scenery. Location was very close to shops, restaurants, pubs...everything within walking distance. Appreciated the fact that parking was available overnight in the marina lot across the street...plenty of room, and we didn't have to squeeze into narrow B&B spots behind the building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok...I've had better...and it was added on, not included in cost.

Review 39:Had wonderful stay here. Room was clean and tidy and fitted our family needs perfectly. Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was excellent! Would definitely stay again

Review 40:The location cannot be beat. It's located right in front of the marina, and right down the street from the best pubs and restaurants. I was traveling with my husband and his parents, and we thought our room was big, the other room was even more spacious. The breakfast is good too. The owners are so nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property.

Review 41:Guest lounge did not seem ready to be opened up for guests. In our opinion, a tea cookie in each room would have been preferable to the candy in a jar in the lobby.

Review 42:Nicely sized and tasteful room with view of harbour. Great power showers. Delicious breakfast with generous portions. Excellent location. Personable host.

Review 43:The location with the Dingle port view, parking at the spot but the best was the friendly approach of owners, their personal touch and they made us feel like at home. Rooms are super tidy and clean and spacious too and I liked the original pieces of furniture and wall artworks too. TV, kettle, glasses, mugs, tea, coffee,...in rooms. Room keeping service everyday. Oh and I didn't mention breakfast!!!! - just yummy, stuffed every morning :) i really felt super cared of. I want definitely come back as it was the best holiday accommodation so far. Luv it!!!!!!!

Review 44:Perfect location right in the middle of town! Staff was helpful and provided maps of the touristy things. Breakfast was AMAZING definitely worth it. Room was spacious clean and comfortable! Wifi was okay slightly spotty but worked. Overall great facility!

Review 45:Loved how near the place is to the town. Parking is free but minimal and awkward. Very friendly staff however we were awoken by staff asking people to check out when we weren't checking out until following day and had travelled far so we were tryin to get extra sleep. But could not fault the place. Basic but that's all we wanted and owner did his best to make sure we were satisfied.

Review 46:Water heater didn't work first day. However room was changed promptly. Then the kettle didn't work.. Which was also changed. We are asked to come back later for checkin even though the hotel was empty and it was raining ver hard.

Review 47:Location, view from room, comfort of rooms on first floor.

Review 48:No wifi in room Staff had not looked at their emails to know they had a reservation that was made more than 24 hours in advance. Arrived to building which was locked and dark throughout. Had to wait to be let in. Despite heating , quite severe draught in room which kept it very cold (we were there in December) Only took cash with no credit card facility

Review 49:Nice view

Review 50:The flat tire I got (but not their fault - he he). I had a room for someone in a wheelchair. So it was a little awkward sometimes.

Review 51:The staff Location Suggestions of what to do. The ocean The town Comfort Breakfast

Review 52:(1) shower drained slowly; (2) no shelves in the shower (i.e., shampoo, etc.), and (3) had trouble with door lock. All said, we will stay there again and be prepared.

Review 53:We stayed 2 nights in October 2014 and didn't want to leave. Staff was lovely and very informative. Cannot wait to return.

Review 54:Hot water was on a timer. We got up at 6:45 to get on the road and there was no hot water. We had to wait until the timer for the building turned it on which was after well after 7:30 AM.

Review 55:Staff. Location. Very Clean.

Review 56:Having to exit and re-enter the building for breakfast. Could be a pain if the weather was bad.

Review 57:The staff were excellent; very friendly; good natured and good humoured and very informative about the best bars and restaurants. The location was extremely good; convenient to everywhere.

Review 58:None

Review 59:An excellent location with good parking. It was close enough to walk comfortably to the town and far enough not to be disturbed by any late night revellers. Courteous and friendly staff. Will probably return next year.

Review 60:Not a thing we did not like.

Review 61:The rooms were very room. We had two, and both had great views of the harbor. Breakfast was great. Great location on the harbor and the main drag. Close to music and great cuisine on the strip. Loved the owners, very kind and laid back. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 62:My room wasnt quite as private as I would have liked - had to keep curtains closed or could be seen by passers-by. TV channels didnt all work.

Review 63:Close to town. Big rooms. Very helpful staff. Wonderful facilities - big ensuite with great shower.

Review 64:The plastic-backed mattress protector made for a rather sweaty nights sleep.

Review 65:Clean. Quiet. Big spacious room. Close to pubs, shops etc. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Review 66:Excellent location, just went to Dingle for a Monday night getaway and booked the Marina lodge of the cuff. Turned out to be an excellent choice, room was huge and clean as was the bathroom, tv was a bit small and limited channels but who would spend a night in watching TV when dingle town awaits you! Handy parking at the rear, lovely staff, easy to get in after hours, very clean and fantastic location, couldn't ask for better!!

Review 67:Ger & Thomas were friendly hosts and breakfast was simple but tasty. The house is right at the centre of all the action on the piers [for food, drinks, sea trips, etc]. One of the best value for money places to stay in Dingle town.

Review 68:Dingle Marina is perfectly located in the beautiful town of Dingle. The staff are extremely helpful and the Lodge itself is very comfortable with lovely large rooms.

Review 69:The only thing which may be useful to the owners would be to provide high chairs in the breakfast area. We had our buggy which was grand but other customers may expect this to be available.

Review 70:The location was excellent as it was very convenient to walk everywhere, especially to local restaurants and attractions. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We had our one and half year old with us and they provided a travel cot free of charge. The room was generous with space so the cot fitted no bother. The staff were welcoming and very helpful in providing local tourist information. We chose to have breakfast at the dingle marina lodge which was Really nice. They don't provided a traditional irish breakfast but this certainly wasn't an issue as the breakfast was lovely. We would definitely recommend the Dingle Marina Lodge as a place to stay when visiting Dingle.

Review 71:Dingle Marina Lodge was quite a nice stop. We found the staff helpful, the breakfast delightful and the room was large. Our stay in Dingle was superb!
