Reviews for Palazzo Gambuzza "Maison de Charme"

Review 1:The smell of freshly baked pastries in the morning. Courtyard was great to sit in, cup of coffee, whilst browsing the internet. Very comfortable stay. Even catered for our scooters

Review 2:We have stayed here for a number of times as a first or last stop when travelling by ferry between Malta and Sicily - it is just a short drive from the ferry port. Very friendly staff and wonderful property.

Review 3:Didn't bother with self catering facilities due to price. Though in fairness I hadn't planned to. Difficult to find. Sat nav only finds LAST part of street name and you need to get out of your car to find it.

Review 4:Nice location, helpful staff. If you go it's at the top of the street on the left. Very small sign. Can't recall the exact road name but only use the last part if you can't find it!

Review 5:The mattresses were a bit firm.

Review 6:Loved the building, really friendly helpful staff, great location for exploring some beautiful towns and lovely beaches

Review 7:WiFi signal was a bit erratic and we sometimes needed to step into the hallway to connect. There was a bath & shower, but it was hard to keep the water in the shower enclosure. We didn't realize from the booking details that we needed to indicate our time of arrival which can be a bit of a problem when traveling. We did however, manage to contact Laura and she met us there at the time we indicated.

Review 8:Location was amazing. We were upgraded, at no additional cost, to the Fiori (1 bedroom) suite which was great with a huge balcony overlooking the church & piazza. It is old, but that was it's charm. Nice big fridge. So quiet with great shutters. Staff was great!

Review 9:the location was perfect, beautiful palazzo, interesting rooms and furniture. Bed very comfortable and Laura was very helpful. Recommend absolutely!

Review 10:What a gem. I would out of our way to stay here. The grounds are great. The staffing is great. Easy street parking. The value is unbelievable.

Review 11:Limited restaurant facilities within walking distance

Review 12:The staff who treated us so well, giving us a tour of the palace

Review 13:the dark interior

Review 14:the garden

Review 15:We are extremely dissapointed from Ispica. We expected another Baroque city, although not listed by UNESCO and we chose our stay in Ispica because of the distance we had to travel on that day. Try to avoid Ispica even for overnight. It was strange and almost scaring to walk in the center of the city, we did not have such feeling anywhere else in Sicily for 10 days of visit. For dinner we travelled to a neighboring village since there was nothing but a Pizza in Ispica.

Review 16:Our stay in Palazzo Gambuza was very comfortable, we had a very spacious appartment and excellent breakfast. The place is very elegant and agreeable. It would be great to have a chef Restaurant in the Palazzo.

Review 17:Palazzo Gambuzza's staff servicing the place are great! The rooms have everything you need. I will be staying at this hotel again and again and again....

Review 18:Lovely homely atmosphere provided by Rosanna, Carmalucha, Laura and Luna, but in a very professional manner. Plentiful, fresh and healthy breakfast. Good location in centre of town, but still very quiet. Excellent kitchen facilities with refrigerator, cooker and utensils. Beautiful, peaceful gardens and courtyard. Wi-Fi and multi-channel TV. Loads of space in very clean rooms, balconies with sea view and huge comfortable beds.

Review 19:We only stayed there for one. I wish we had the opportunity to stay longer.

Review 20:This is a tastefully renovated old Palazzo. The rooms are very clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is to die for.

Review 21:Beautiful building with wonderful , tastefully decorated accommodation - spotlessly clean . Rosanna and Laura made us so welcome . Fabulous breakfast . I cannot praise the whole experience enough - highlight of our holiday

Review 22:Dining options within walking distance are relatively limited compared to places more frequented by tourists... we couldn't get much apart from pizza without driving further afield, although the recommended Il Mercato restaurant was good.

Review 23:The location is perfect: right in the centre of the town with a view from the balcony over Santa Maria Maggiore church piazza...we saw a wedding (complete with string quartet, soprano and organ) and a public funeral procession accompanied by the town brass band ,,,adds a whole new dimension to watching the world go by! A great spot for experiencing ordinary Italian life whilst convenient for visiting the more popular baroque towns such as Noto, and close to the sea. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and very well-appointed. The breakfasts were superb, as was the service. Parking was possible on the street just outside. We will certainly stay there again.

Review 24:Palazzo Gambuzza is made up of two things, the building and the staff servicing the place, both excellently placed, maintained and of excellent service from top to bottom. Breakfast is continental but more than enough to satisfy morning apetite. The place is also situated in the right place. Ispica, though small has all the amenities banks, restaurants, pizzerias, coffee shops etc. No need for long walks to reach them and very. safe even late at nights with much activity going on in the town square too. Rooms at Palazzo Gambuzza are all spacious, clean, well maintaned and high standard furniture with an LCD Tv thrown in. It home away from home.

Review 25:Using of kitchen is charged with 40euro.

Review 26:Very good hotel, in city center, near church. Beautiful apartment, largeterassa with charming views. Good, sweet italian breakfast. Very niceand helpful staff.

Review 27:Located in the Heart of the City Centre, the room was an amazing Suite Inside the Palazzo, friendly an helpful Staff, XXL-terrace, View to the Sea, beautiful Yard, very good breakfast

Review 28:The staff were fantastic. The breakfast is a very large Italian breakfast and the coffee was great. The garden in the Palazzo is beautiful and has herbs and lemons which we were encouraged to harvest as desired. The rooms are beautiful.

Review 29:The suite was large and well-appointed, very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, even though neither of us spoke much of the other's language. We needed to do some washing, put it in the machime and it had been hung over the dryer before our return. the building itself is very beautiful and central to the town. Ispica is within reach of Noto, Modica and Ragusa without being as busy.

Review 30:Palazzo Gambuzo is a lovely place - quiet and grand. The staff is veryhelpful and accommodating. We would love to come back and spend moretime there. It is a good location for visiting the many attractive sitesin the area. Highly recommended!

Review 31:That it was like staying at home. The owner happened to be there and hewas extremely gracious and went out of his way to drive us to a verygood fish restaurant ran by two brothers, then later one of them drove usback to the hotel, it was Holy week and there was a lot going on, Iwould stay there again.
