Reviews for Hotel Terminus
Review 1:My wife and I got a room with a balcony facing the church and main street to Garda = very loud. The rooms with a view of the lake also have a view of Garda's main car park.
Review 2:The breakfast-waiter and the cleaning staff were very friendly and courteous. The staff at the reception could learn from them. The breakfast was marvelous. The shower is a bathtub without curtains. And you have to hold the shower-head in your hand. Reminded me of a hostel in México twenty years ago. The whole hotel is like a museum - which gives it a certain charm. The garden is splendid.
Review 3:Very small and outdated shower with lack of (water-)power. Horrible beds. We had to put the matrasses on the floor! Balcony of about 3m2 with a superdeluxe room. At €155 per night a considerable high price for an overrated and outdated hotel. Room was next to elevator that made a continuous noise as did the hotel (all kind of pipes) itself ... like an old person.
Review 4:Good location, nice garden and ok breakfast. Facility to drink coffee (from a reasonable automatic machine) when desired. View on the lake (deluxe rooms only).
Review 5:We couldn't get Wi Fi but we coped with it...we had taken the lap top and wish we hadn't as we didn't get to use it.....
Review 6:Everything, beautiful hotel in prime situation. Want to go again next June....lovely big room sadly no shower only over the bath but coped - I tied the shower head with a scarf to the towel rail and we were able to cope, walk in shower would have been better as my husband had problem walking etc....but otherwise it was perfect....
Review 7:Great location, friendly staff and good value for money for the standard of hotel. Very reliable air conditioning proved a godsend since it was in the late 30's outside!
Review 8:Our room was great but the walls had evidence of squashed mosquitoes from previous weeks, which should have been cleaned off. The wifi was patchy, brilliant in the reception area, not so great in our 3rd floor room.
Review 9:Lovely room with great view of Lake Garda and a big balcony and comfy chairs to enjoy it from. Helpful staff, who did all they could to make our stay pleasant. Good breakfast with plenty of choice from continental meat, cheese, bread, cereal & bacon and egg.
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:Everything. The hotel was better than we expected, having been to Garda several times before we knew the views would be great but we found everything to be very good. The rooms were very clean, the bedding was change mid-week, and the breakfasts were excellent, the gardens were also a pleasure to sit in when having afternoon tea and cake, which we didn't expect. We were also given a 15% discount at the family owned restaurant El Refol, where we had 3 meals that were all very good and the price was great before the discount.
Review 12:The hotel is situated on the edge of the lake. Our room was large and the balcony, although very small, had the most fantastic view and the sunset from it was stunning. Family run, both daughters and mum were very helpful. The night porter is a hoot to have a late night drink with. The breakfast was great too, with lots of options. We would definately return.
Review 13:I have a mobility issue and our room was not ideal although the hotel management did all they could to accommodate my needs
Review 14:Balcony overlooking the town and lake Breakfast was excellent Sitting and relaxing in the wonderful garden Close to the town with its bars and restaurants
Review 15:- no wifi in the room. only nearby reception
Review 16:+ location, very close to the lake and the city centre and bars, restaurants etc + secure parking on hotel grounds + wide selection and good quality breakfast + terrace outside for relaxing and breakfast + the size of our room
Review 17:The only problem was a lack of stand-up shower. There was a low level shower head designed only for washing hair. In the grand scheme of things it would be easy to install a shower curtain around the bath with a high bracket for a stand-up shower.
Review 18:Pleasant atmosphere complimentary afternoon tea free use of computer in reception area Good bedroom facilities including fridge and 2 English speaking TV channels. Set in nice garden
Review 19:WiFi in the room not usable, only in the hall.
Review 20:Short walk to everywhere. Nice lakeview from the balcony. Free afternoon coffee and cookies/cake. Parking at the hotel, matter of availability.
Review 21:-It was too hot in the room and I was unable to figure out the way conditioner works
Review 22:- Free coffee during the day as well as bakery left from the breakfast - Very good personnel and recommendation for restaurant in bulk with good discount
Review 23:It was a little run down in parts, especially the bathroom.
Review 24:The location was great. Lovely breakfast and pleasant staff

Review 40:Nice view of Lake Garda. The hotel has an excellent location.
Review 41:Old interior and decoration of the room and bathroom.
Review 42:Service and wide variety of food for breakfast. Large room and bathroom
Review 43:excellent breakfast, good size rooms
Review 44:Disappointed that evening meal was not available in hotel, although plenty good restaurants nearby.
Review 45:Well managed hotel. Easy access to Lake & near the Town & shops. Lovely to sit out and have breakfast looking at the Lakeside. Rooms good size and well appointed.
Review 46:Poor performing shower. Shower had very low flow and was temperamental to use either too hot or too cold. We did report it But an unsuccessful attempt to repair was made.
Review 47:The whole hotel is in need of refurbishing and the staff need to go on a customer service course as they find it very difficult to smile or exchange any pleasantries whatsoever. We felt as though they are watching every move the guests make. Also there was no one serving in the bar for the whole of our 8 night stay and therefore the lounge and bar area were always deserted.
Review 48:We particularly liked the location of this hotel as it was on the lake front and we paid extra for a room with lake view and balcony - well worth the money. The breakfast was good but if we had been there for a fortnight it would have become slightly repetitive. The bedroom and bathroom were both large and very clean.
Review 49:No ironing facilities were available.
Review 50:Lovely location with parking (not many hotels had this) and balconies. There was no kettle in the room, which I needed to make the baby's bottles, but the staff found me one and were very helpful.
Review 51:the hotel was obviously designed in the 70s, the interior is quite out of date now. For some weird reason our room was painted bright purple too!!!
Review 52:Room size, breakfast, value for money, location
Review 53:Wi FI was a bit intermittent but then again we were on holidays.
Review 54:Great location, very pleasent staff especially the night porter and the ladies in charge of the breakfast.Couldn't fault it in any way.
Review 55:No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom - although staff provided hot water when required
Review 56:Proximity of hotel to the lake View of lake from balcony Roof top terrace Sunny breakfast/restaurant room Space in bedroom (deluxe) Warm and friendly staff - very accommodating and helpful Garden outside of the hotel with shade Afternoon tea
Review 57:Nothing to dislike about hotel at all
Review 58:We liked just about everything with this hotel breakfast was plenty ofchoice rooms very comfortable no complaints at all
Review 59:Nothing.
Review 60:Excellent situation right in front of the lake, view from the bedroom, close to all the restaurants and the town. Lovely lounge area to relax in. Laptop provided for guests. Good selection of food and beverages for breakfast.
Review 61:Hotel décor/room furniture a little dated but clean
Review 62:Location is fantastic, a stone's throw to the lake across the road, view from our room was fabulous of the lake, and hotel has a free car park.
Review 63:Wi-Fi was a little weak on 3rd floor, but everything else was faultless.
Review 64:The room overlooking the lake with a spacious balcony was wonderful. Excellent en suite, comfortable single bed. Breakfast was a masterpiece! Pretty breakfast room, and plenty of comfortable seating area in the public areas.
Review 65:Only thing I can say is would have liked a shower but nothing at all to complain about.
Review 66:My daughter and I stayed here for five nights and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff were lovely, breakfast was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. We will return next year with more family members for sure.
Review 67:The bathrooms need updating badly.
Review 68:The location, right on the lake was excellent. The breakfast was also one of the best I've had - a huge choice t suit all tastes and nationalities. The free parking in the hotels own car park is great, and very rare in Garda.
Review 69:No pool but not really that bad as your so close to the lake.
Review 70:Location is great for Garda and its great views of the lake. Service and friendliness of the staff.
Review 71:Reception staff were impatient and defensive.
Review 72:The staff at breakfast were extremely helpful, and the lady owner also very kind to my disabled daughter. The location and views were perfect. The room was fabulous with views on two sides to the lake, and access to a large lake view terrace.
Review 73:The Hotel feelt old since it hasn´t been renovated for a long time.
Review 74:The staff was nice, but the room was very old. It hasn´t been renovated during the last 25-30 years. The hotel is perfect if you want to be in the center of the village Garda and have a parking for the car.Clean even if the hotel is old.
Review 75:cannot think of anything
Review 76:excellent breakfast location - very close to bus station we particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace with lovely outlook over hotel garden and the lake. Free afternoon tea between 4 and 6pm on the terracewas always good and very welcome. Sun terrace on first floor
Review 77:No air-conditioning, some rooms have constant noise from busy road.
Review 78:Great location, close to lake and main tourist area, very good buffet breakfast, large comfortable room and bathroom, helpful staff.
Review 79:First Location, Second friendly smiling Staff, Morning Breakfast, Spacious and clean rooms. We were there when temperature was 35 degrees celcius but the air condition in our room kept us cool throughout our stay.
Review 80:probably could do with some modernisation but it's not shabby
Review 81:Quiet, no fuss, comfortable, lakeside, great views, lovely gardens, central, parking, tranquillity
Review 82:The hotel is tired and in need of a overhaul. I also found it lacking in atmosphere and the road at the front was quite noisey.
Review 83:The position and the 15% discount in the family restaurant. The breakfast was substantial.
Review 84:Hotel what ideally situated just on the outskirts of the town but within walking distance of everything.
Review 85:Young waitress in the restaurant should be in better mood, smiling more...
