Reviews for Dingle Bay Hotel
Review 1:Loved the location, bar food was fabulous. Stayed in upper floor. Room was lovely and clean and comfortable just very cold. Even with radiator on it was still not comfortable.Breakfast was fab.
Review 2:The weather was just terrible - flooding during our stay . . .but we made the best of what the hotel had to offer.
Review 3:Staff were amazing - very friendly. Fab Food. Lots of leaflets and options of what to do in the area. Dingle is a gem as is the hotel. Will definitely return to this property. Very clean - housekeeping were amazing - we left for an hour and they were in an out in that time to service the room - seemless service! well done team and happy new year to you all!
Review 4:Breakfast for €15 was a little pricey and only served until 10am so it was our choice to breakfast elsewhere in the town. No WiFi in bedrooms.
Review 5:Staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. Room was very spacious and everything was absolutely spotless. Dinner was good in the bar and staff all great too.
Review 6:The hotel has an excellent location with plentiful off street parking. The room and housekeeping were wonderful and the staff was very helpful. The full breakfast the next day was terrific. Paudie's Pub on the ground floor is first-rate. We had a good meal and enjoyed the live music. It's so nice to be able to have a pint or two and not have to be concerned about driving. All-in-all, the Dingle Bay was an excellent choice.
Review 7:Our room was above the pub and very loud until late into the night. We were able to move to a room in the back of the hotel and it was perfect.
Review 8:Nice comfortable friendly hotel in a great location.
Review 9:The bed was awful as were the pillows. Why is it like this overseas? You can here music from the restaurant next door but it's not bad and if you wear ear plugs or are really tired, it will be just fine.
Review 10:The location is great, right on the main road and connected to a great restaurant/pub. It is VERY clean, has heated bathroom floors. It was a large room with lots of storage space and it was very clean.
Review 11:Very expensive, 280 for 2 nights for 2 people - it's not a posh hotel or anything so this was disappointing. Not good value
Review 12:Bed was very comfortable, location was good enough, Dingle is quite spread out so I wasn't entirely sure was it "central" or not, nice place to stay though and the bar and food was lovely
Review 13:Room wasn't ready and we arrived mid-afternoon. No air conditioning so a bit warm for sleeping. Tight parking.
Review 14:Newly renovated and lovely restaurant & pub. Right on the bay - though no view from our room.
Review 15:The shower had almost no water pressure. Bath worked fine, but the shower was virtually useless. We only stayed one night, so we told the staff and they said they would look into it.
Review 16:Good location, friendly staff, good breakfast and convenient parking.
Review 17:The room had no windows only two skylights and as it happened we had great sunny weather while staying in the Dingle and it made it unbearably hot. No windows to open and as is the case in most of Ireland no air conditioning which would not be needed if the room could be ventilated.
Review 18:The location is absolutely fabulous. Right in the thick of things and the pub connected to the hotel is great with live music. We arrived early and the staff were able to get our room ready in less than an hour. The staff and location are top notch. I would stay in this hotel again just in a different room.
Review 19:Didnt stay for the music in the hotel bar as couldnt hear them being sat right at the back of the bar/restaurant. Overpriced compared to what we had paid elsewhere on our touring holiday - but I guess you have to pay a premium in Dingle.
Review 20:Location was handy, right on the front and close to other bars with entertainment - friendly staff, room fine but nothing exceptional.
Review 21:Not hotel's fault: great location made narrow sidewalks so thick with tourists that it was sometimes hard to navigate. A price for traveling in August.
Review 22:Incredibly helpful staff. Amy and Anne went out of their way to fix a booking mistake I had made, to rearrange dinner reservations and get tickets so we could both have dinner where we'd chosen AND get to two music events..and this for six people!
Review 23:This hotel is very well located. Breakfast was an additional $10 dollars which we did not get but freshly made scones for $2.00 were delicious. Lunch was excellent
Review 24:the only slight dislike was the water pressure for the shower, but no big deal just had a nice long bath instead.
Review 25:good standards throughout the hotel on all levels, very handy being attached to bar restaurant next door, though this never impinged on the hotels privacy and comfort. would stay there again definitely.
Review 26:It's too expensive for what it is a 130€ for one night room only midweek is expensive in ireland and car parking and wifi are hopeless
Review 27:The staff were very helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable oh and food was very good
Review 28:In the question above Type of Traveller you do not make provision for a traveler like me. I was with my daughter and son-in-law but the question does not let me indicate such. You should have other there!!!!!!!!!
Review 29:Excellent place to stay central toeverything
Review 30:Velux windows in room very stuffy dinner of poor quality not asked by reception on leaving did we enjoy our stay not great value for cost
Review 31:location cleanliness overall
Review 32:The staff at lunch in the bar and the food were just about passable. I understand that its a very busy season but it was quiet when we had our lunch, after a long journey, the staff were more concerned with having the chat with each than customer service. The noise in our bathroom and noise from rooms around us was a bit disconcerting didn't make for a relaxing stay. The room was very clean and compact. The parking was pretty far to the back and the road up to it wasn't good. I've stayed here before a few years back and it has definitely taken a dip in recent years unfortunately.
Review 33:The breakfast the following morning was quite nice and hard a very good waitress which was a major step from our lunch the previous afternoon
Review 34:Our room was over the pub, so no sleeping until live music was over but it finished before midnight. Couldn't control heaters in room so got too hot.
Review 35:Great town, loved the fresh fish options. People were genuinely welcoming.
Review 36:The hotel's location is in close proximity to numerous bars and restaurants as well as the town's marina. The room was modest and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this hotel very much and hope to stay here again.
Review 37:I thought it was a little over priced, but Dingle is a bit pricey in general due to its beautiful location and attraction for tourists. The staff was wonderful and the location can't be beat.
Review 38:The location was great and there was free parking!
Review 39:The bed was uncomfortably hard. Access to room was with a huge key that you had to take with you since reception is not 24 hours. Breakfast was only available until 10am.
Review 40:Location is fantastic and the staff are very friendly.
Review 41:Extremely overpriced. Rip off Ireland is alive and well. Nice place, butno way is it worth €300 for 2 nights b+B.And that was a discountrate!!!. Mad stuff
Review 42:Very friendly staff. Spotlessly clean.
Review 43:Wifi was spotty at best. Had to go to lobby to get any reliable connection. Bed was the worst of our 8 nights in Ireland.
Review 44:The woman at the front desk was very helpful. Room was nice and clean.
Review 45:We stayed at the Dingle Bay Hotel for a night while exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Check-in was quick and easy. They were even able to accommodate my uncle who decided to join us at the last minute. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The wifi only worked in the lobby or the sitting room of the floor. The staff was helpful with suggestions of activities and things to see in the area. We finished our stay with a traditional Irish breakfast in morning. Overall a good stay.
Review 46:The trip home! I'd recommend renting a car or making sure you get to see the headlands and all the breathtaking sights in the surrounding areas
Review 47:If you appreciate a beautiful part of ireland & also love the craic you cannot wrong!
Review 48:I liked everything about the hotel. The room was a nice size, spotless clean and paintwork and decor really lovely. The girl at reception was very friendly and informative.
Review 49:Upon arriving the proprietor moved us to a room better suited to our needs. And very quickly showed up with extra towel without us asking. Breakfast and location were perfect
Review 50:our bathroom connected with our neighbour's bathroom and it was quite noisy as we could hear the person coughing and flushing ..sounding very close. We thought the hotel was expensive.
Review 51:Loved the senic view from our bedroom and the central location.
Review 52:There was no Wi-Fi despite contacting reception a few times.
Review 53:The bedroom was huge at the top of the house, there was a lift! The room felt like we were the first to use it after a referb, Spotless, lovely bathroom, Good breakfast and good pub grub!
Review 54:Stayed for 3 nights at The Dingle Bay Hotel, location is excellent ! Staff friendly, food is very good over all everything was perfect and even nicer than expected for price paid. Room was spotless and cosy. Will always recommend.
Review 55:The entrance to the parking lot at the back is most difficult and hazardous. The Hotel needs to come to an agreement soon with the residents of the area in order to even out and tarmac the area -- otherwise, it is an accident waiting to happen and then there will be lawsuits etc.
Review 56:I liked the facilities very much.
Review 57:Noise from the street which really is no ones fault. Paudies bar which is part of de hotel is fab for food & lovely staff.
Review 58:The location is SUPER & I will be returning.
Review 59:The front of the hotel. it's RED. It doesn't justify how fantastic your hotel is .
Review 60:When driving up to hotel we didn't think much but this hotel is amazing loved our room very clean and comfortable. Very affordable. The staff are fabulous and friendly. Great location too which is a bonus. Would highly recommend this hotel we will be returning thank you for a great stay.
Review 61:Expensive for what is a basic but cozy hotel, then again it is very touristy and right in the centre so that's expected.
Review 62:Location was perfect, right in the town. Good pub attached with good food. Lovely staff and free parking. Definitely recommend!!
Review 63:One small tiny issue, the pillows were a bit hard for me..
Review 64:Great location, clean, warm, beautiful décor, tea & coffee facilities and iron in the room. Staff very friendly and welcoming...
Review 65:Breakfast was disappointing, rice crispies were soft and not a great choice in buffet part! That said, cooked breakfast was nice.
Review 66:Location excellent, bedroom very spacious, very clean, beds really comfortable.
Review 67:Only unhappy we hadn't the time to extend our stay !!
Review 68:Fantastic location; modern clean, well run hotel !! Very convenient parking and room access. Quiet and large room, tastefully decorated. Included breakfast was wonderful and pub had great food as well as terrific musical groups each night !! The staff went out of their way for us and I have had 2 groups of friends change their plans to now stay at the Dingle Bay Hotel - 5 star value !!!
Review 69:Our room overlooked the marina and had a beautiful view of the hills beyond. Room and bath were completely updated and very nice. Comfy bed. Great pub attached to the hotel. Only wish we could have stayed longer but so much to see in Ireland!
Review 70:Overpriced. new hotel but not much character. View from the room was a wall.
Review 71:Well maintained, clean hotel, nice bar. Spacious rooms. Great location in dingle with some free parking out the back of the hotel. I'd recommend it alright
Review 72:Thought it unusual they didn't provide kleenex/tissue in rooms.
Review 73:Location was great.. convienent to great restaurants(upscale, cafes or pubs), sightseeing and shopping. The rooms were very comfortable, fresh and clean. Best to ask for quiet room to avoid the pub noice. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Review 74:Room 215 had view of roof only; No breakfast provided; Seemed a little pricey for this small town
Review 75:great location on main street of town; free parking in rear; fabulous room (#215) with very nice décor and very clean; asked for twin room - got 3 twins pushed together into one massive bed - most comfy bed of our trip; elegant bathroom with plenty of countertop space; room 215 was very quiet; good pub downstairs with live music
Review 76:We were at the back of the hotel, which was perfect, but staying at the front might be an issue with singing going on in the bar until closing time. Could be a problem with young children.
Review 77:Excellent location and lovely staff. We were a little early to the hotel, I rang ahead and asked about the car park - it was no problem to park the car, drop our bags and wander through Dingle while the room was being prepared. Very comfortable room & good television selection.
Review 78:Room 201 is at the front of the hotel and was noisy from music and trafic
Review 79:Staff were excellent as was the breakfast and general restaurant facilities and food, but book a table.
Review 80:Lovely spacious modern room. Location was great as marina was across the street. Good selection of cooked breakfast Would definitely stay here again and recommend. Was more expensive than some of the other accommodations in Dingle but worth it.
Review 81:Rooms could be a bit noisy as the doors banged when closing. Small reception area with no guest lounge other than a functional room with a few chairs and books upstairs.
Review 82:It may be a three star hotel but the breakfast was a 5 star experience with fresh fruit, cereals etc. and a cooked breakfast offering a wide range of choices including delicious potato cakes and free range eggs. Compliments to the chef and staff. Location was excellent as it was in the town. Music in the bar at night was great.
Review 83:The room had no windows only high roof windows which we had trouble reaching and found this a bit claustrophobic and warm during the night
Review 84:We enjoyed the music in the bar and the food was good. Tha location was v central.
Review 85:Hotel very claustrophobic and rooms quite small. Access to rooms difficult through rear of hotel. Poor view. Very expensive given lack of facilities/view. Breakfast passable but not great for cost.
Review 86:Newly refurbished rooms. Location good
Review 87:I had no complaints!
Review 88:I stayed here 2 years ago and came back because I liked the fact that it was so central in the town and also we had private parking in a very busy little town. The accommodation was excellent value for money and so quiet and peaceful. I will return again!
Review 89:There was a extractor fan running all night long which meant a sleeplessnight !! this means I paid €114 for a sleepless night, not happy andwill never stay there again, also, the room doors need adjusting so thatthey don't slam
Review 90:Expensive.
Review 91:Friendly staff. Excellent selection of breakfasts
Review 92:nothing
