Review 1：The accommodation is past its best and needs a refresh - clear that the rest of the hotel has been uplifted but the rooms have yet to be touched - its not bad but not up to the standard you would expect for the price you are paying. Wifi was not the best and needs to be improved - kept dropping off and very limited download.

Review 4：reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. Free bikes for our use was great.The hotel also provides accompanied hiking snorkelling and canoeing.We went on a short hike to a beach and enjoyed snorkelling. Nice continental style breakfast-cereal,fruitjuice ,toast ,croissants ham ,cheese ,jam, tinned fruit,tea and coffee -pay separately The hotel's restaurant especially the buffet nights was excellent. hotel ,the grounds and pool area very clean and tidy-there were always enough loungers.Most guests are Italian but staff and waiters could speak english well. The hotel is 10 mins walk to beach but it is a lovely walk through small orchard and nice house-lined alleys . Lovely view from balcony of the town and the sea,Marciana Marina itself is a lovely town with lots of small shops.All restaurants tried were excellent quality and fairly priced.Beach area is just ok and nothing special-other beaches around the island looked a lot better I recommend going to Marciana-a hill town above and taking the "chairlift " to top of mountain

Review 8："Chimney" makes a lot of noise during its work. So it makes sitting on the terrace unbearable. Fotunately it does not work all the time and it does not affect your sleep because you do not hear it in a bedroom. Water in the pool was cold but this is just a standard I guess. No corkscrew in kitchen which is almost unbelivebeable for such country as Italy - but this is just a minor thing;)

Review 9：This hotel is very good value for money deal. We've got a large room which had almost everything we need. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Localization of hotel is also very good, just short walk down to the city and beach. We've had access to free bikes, we also played table tennis. Those small things adding special value to the hotel. Overall I would definitelly get back to this hotel in a future.

Review 10：The connections with the beach relies on a bus that goes only once a day, so one is stuck with that schedule. There is also public transport, but that is not in the immediate vicinity of the resort and walking loaded with all the stuff that people like to take to the beach under the Italian heat is not pleasant. The use of the car is very difficult because of the scarcity of parking space on the island. The (very few and very small) parking lots are very expensive (I have paid up to €16/day) and usually full - sometimes one can book them.

Review 11：The location is enchanting. There is a lot of green within the facility, which is amazing considering the hot climate. The staff are very nice.

Review 12：The location was perfect, near the centre of Marciana Marina, a beautifull cosy place. There was een very nice large swimming pool. The studio was fine with a wide balcony and a nice view.

Review 13：- Very very poor breakfast choise (one sort of not good bread, one sort of ham, one sort of cheese, marmelade, yoghurt - whole week the same)- very very small room, without balcony or terace -> most of the rooms have balcony or terace and were looking OK, but as we booked through Booking.com of course we "deserved" the smallest room available. Furniture from the 70is, AC not working. - expect only italians, at the time we were only forign guests at the hotel. Consequently staff speaks english poorly...even weekdays and numbers represent a problem, they maybe speak a little bit of french -> we had quite a problem with the communication (but this is the same in whole Elba).

Review 14：- Nice large pool, eventhough it was always crouded- clean room - nice view from the common area (if you are lucky even from the room) - staff tries to be nice, but because most of them do not speak even one word of any forign language we did not communicate much
