Reviews for Hotel Massimo

Review 1:Not even a single "hello", "thank you" or a smile from the man at the reception... It looks like he was the owner of the hotel and that make it even worth!! He also roughly made us understand that the door closes at midnight. Not very practical if you have a late dinner outside.

Review 2:Clean room. 15 minutes walk from a public beach.

Review 3:Filthy room smelling of nicotine, u/s tv, dirty linen on bed, shabbybathroom with broken shower unit.

Review 4:Nothing

Review 5:Brekfast

Review 6:Staff generally unpleasant and every decision had to be deferred to what appeared to be the elderly owners, even borrowing an umbrella was a drama. Very little information given on arrival and staff not helpful with queries. Reception is only open until midnight but there appear to be regular noisy events which go on until around that time. This includes the hotel and grounds so can be heard in the rooms. Otherwise the rooms are quiet. Breakfast is basic and the hot drinks are from a machine. Our room was not as they appear on the website. Very old fashioned decor, and not in a quaint way. Toiletries are sachets and the hairdryer is weak. We were not made to feel welcome. We would not return and there appeared to be plenty of better places to stay

Review 7:Hotel has a pretty garden and it is very clean. Bedroom was large and the bed comfortable. Small fridge in room and plenty of plugs. Short walk into town through pleasant wooded area.

Review 8:Reception staff most unfriendly I have experienced; not at all welcoming. Charged 4 euros for a small bottle of water which was proposed as if "offered" as part of stay. This was added to bill without explanation. I did not dispute as it was a business trip and would be reimbursed and also due to unfriendly attitude of staff (owner?).

Review 9:Very good location. Recent renovations.

Review 10:The first impression was that we had booked into an hotel that was Italy's answer to Faulty Towers, but it wasn't quite as bad as that
