Reviews for Maranello Village
Review 1:We had a real problem with the temperature of the room, which resulted in my husband being ill and the first night being ruined. The team failed to resolve the issue and the bookings.com team were totally disinterested This was a 40th birthday week end and no one cared in the slightest that the room we purchased was not comfortable paying full price for faulty goods is perhaps acceptable in Italy but is an odd approach to customer service
Review 2:Not very close to Marenello 10 min drive and not much else in the area, only canteen open other restaurants closed sadly
Review 3:Great staff, clean rooms very good breakfast and great value for money in the canteen
Review 4:Out of town on a trading estate, we visited in mid October on a Saturday, there were no restaurants open in the hotel only the bar, no way you could even get a sandwich, if you want food you drive into Maranello which is a nice little town with great restaurants, the apartment was large and well appointed but bleak. I suggest you stay in town
Review 5:The reception area looked good
Review 6:No not at all
Review 7:Fantastic place to stay!! Well we do love Ferrari and F1. From stepping into the reception with a full size F1 car you know you have arrived at a Ferrari themed place to stay. Our 4 year old loved it! and us!! Lovely room in the Daytona part of the village. Like an apartment not an hotel room. Two bedrooms, good size bathroom and even a desk and chair if required! Good storage and safe box. Breakfast was lovely and had a great choice. (separate breakfast room from other eating areas) Food in Pit Lane Restaurant was great and a good choice of food - hot, cold and Pizza baked to order. Friendly staff too. We stayed for 4 nights and had food here all evenings. Free shuttle bus to Ferrari museum. Great location. Good underground locked garage. Plenty of parking outside too. We had a fantastic stay and will stay here again. Thank you to all for our lovely stay.
Review 8:Location away from the shops and restaurants and a local restaurant was just closed , so it was not possible to have dinner after arrival.
Review 9:Good location close to the Ferrari museum and farms where you can see the production of Parmigiano Reggiano (eg . Moscattini ) . The decor excellent for not only Ferrari funs. Modern, clean hotel. Free parking (also underground).
Review 10:Small rooms, poor wifi.
Review 11:Nice place to stay when visiting Ferrari, Lamborghini and others. Everything made in Ferrari style :) Veeery nice staff at reception :)
Review 12:The noise levels between rooms especially when the other person was in the bathroom.
Review 13:Best value for money hotel to stay in if visiting the Ferrari museum. The food at the cafe' was very good.
Review 14:Not close to Maranello or the Ferrari Factory which are a good 10 min drive away, canteen & bar closed at 10pm other restaurant was not even open, did not like having no controls over air con in rooms!!
Review 15:Staff our friendly & effeciant - good breakfast & underground parking, canteen offers very cheap food
Review 16:Resaurant closed No laundry - even though they advertise they have one. Not close to anything unless you have a car.
Review 17:Secure underground parking available. modern, clean rooms, good bathroom. Bit like an italian Butlins.
Review 18:The service and décor of the hotel was fantastic, wish I had of stayed another night! They were able to provide a power point converter which saved me (a minor security deposit was fine).
Review 19:This is a nice place to stay if your a petrol head clean nice staff good breakfast would recommend, just 10 mins from the must see museum and push start test drives loved it.
Review 20:We missed the swimming pool so much! It is a MUST fior the temperatures over 30 Celsius! :-)
Review 21:Great food in the self service restaurant, great value for the money!
Review 22:Place is seriously understaffed - they have only one person in the whole hotel during the night - the person on the reception. So there's nobody to help you if you need something.
Review 23:Nice and very friendly staff. And Ferrari is everywhere. Sure, this is Maranello.
Review 24:Second of our triple rooms smelled of smoke so no way children could sleep in there so we all crammed into one room, told reception all they said was very sorry but we have done your bill now a cant remove the room rate, not happy, also paddock restaurant was closed and reception said this would be a permanent thing and not sure when it would reopen, food in the other restaurant was good and the Pizza amazing.
Review 25:Third stay at this hotel and very impressed again
Review 26:We went to look at the gym and the guy working there were very rude and unfriendly. If guests are not allowed there they should inform you at check inn. This guy really does not do justice to this hotel because all the other staff are friendly and professional.
Review 27:We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The Ferrari theme was such a joy for me, my husband and two sons. The breakfast was superb and the two ladies Katia and Francesca working in the breakfast area were so friendly, your day started with a smile. We enjoyed eating at the Pit Stop restaurant , the best pizza and such a special guy creating your pizza's. I got a special heart shape pizza....something I will always remember. So special. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It was a very special experience !
Review 28:we had a large bed and a little bed; I slept in the little one: not at all comfortable and noisy!!!!! no Ferrari touch in the appartment !!! a swimming poool would be usefull (hot climate)
Review 29:everything : special thanks to the woman so nice for the breakfast
Review 30:We arrived on a Saturday afternoon to be told none of the restaurants were open!!!after a long drive we were at least hoping for the first night to eat in,so of course it was a shock to be told that the restaurants would be open again on Monday.
Review 31:on the other hand the hotel, staff, rooms and breakfast were first class. If your staying here you wouldn't regret it ,
Review 32:Like a lot of places in Italy, every time I went down stairs to getsomething to eat they were closed. Had some initial power issues in theroom and with my access card but the front desk staff were super helpfuland attempted to make it right. Switched rooms and even with everythingfunctional, the air conditioning wasn't amazing. Which was too badbecause Maranello is hot in the summer.
Review 33:Great location, you can literally see Ferraris being tested fly by onthe highway. Right off of a major road, easy to get in and out of.Really cool decorations and layout, especially if you are visitingMaranello to see Ferrari.
Review 34:Restaurant run by another company just went bankrupt so we had to go to the village. Self service is not open during weekends.
Review 35:Great rooms, great design and original touches throughout the hotel.
Review 36:The air conditioning had a bad smell, and it was noisy. The hotel's atmosphere wasn't very friendly. There were a lot of mosquitos, and in the garden the guests were shouting late at night.
Review 37:The receptionists were very nice.
Review 38:Shame restaurant was closed on mondays
Review 39:We had two adjoining rooms which we could both individually lock or use as one secure space. Very clean and new. Self service cafe was easy and good value.
Review 40:Desk staff very friendly. Gave great restaurant recommendations. It was the best food of our trip. Convenient location to visit the car factories. Would stay again
Review 41:Room was very small, and the shower was tiny. Air conditioning was marginal, could not get it below 23c, despite that the thermostat was set at 17c for 2 days.
Review 42:Room had everything we needed. Wall and hall decorations which centered on Ferrari were diverse and creative. Breakfast was ample and included in room price.
Review 43:nothing the facilities does not feel like a 4-star hotel but worth the money.
Review 44:the room is small but generally is comfortable. be aware that the twin bed for family room is small bed (90x130) and only one toilet the breakfast is excellent. the restaurant is also very good. great parking space and wifi
Review 45:Did not like the cigarette smell in the hallway and most definitely did not like the over infestation of mosquitos in your open
Review 46:I appreciate being able to control the A/C.
Review 47:Though most staff were very good there was one member of staff working in the coffee bar on a particular morning whose service i felt was not up to the standard i received from the rest of the staff, this is only a minor issue and only happened on one particular morning but i feel worth making given thr the global reputation of your brand.
Review 48:Service was good from most staff, food was excellent and good value in terms of price.
Review 49:That we were unable to use the fitness center to workout.
Review 50:Everything that we used and accessed was excellent. It would have been nice to use the fitness center.
Review 51:There is a strong fragrance of cleaning material.. probably against smokers but it is unberable. There is a gym in the hotel which is not allowed for visitors. Wi-fi was weak.
Review 52:Almost everything. Very nice place Great breakfast
Review 53:Room was dark and uninviting. The decor was not what I was expecting as shown in the images, and the cleaning products used (to mask smoking presumably) were almost unbearable.
Review 54:Location was excellent. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was plentiful.
Review 55:Why are there so many more cars and vans in the external car park than people in the hotel ?
Review 56:The appearance, the self-service restaurant, the parking, the cost.
Review 57:Beds about as comfortable as an old ferrai. But did the job for night. Wouldn't want a week in one though!
Review 58:As an f1 fan but not a ferrai fan this hotel was great. Anybody coming here for a taste of history around the red cars will love the place. Staff really helpful and food was good. Hotel reception layout was amazing.
Review 59:Periodically Wi-Fi was week and slow, or no connection at all
Review 60:This was a second visit, very nice hotel, private underground garage is huge plus, 5 minutes drive from Ferrari museum...
Review 61:Nice place to stay if visiting with family Ferrary museum and/or factory. Rooms are clean and well equipped with all needed features (door video system, sky-TV, working table etc). Good breakfast.
Review 62:There were ants all over our walls of our room. AC was turned off in entire hotel, though it was hot out and they advertise they have it. Internet couldn't open a basic web page or download/upload email.
Review 63:Nice staff, that's it. Rest of hotel is frankly average to below average. Will not go back,
Review 64:Beds are tiny, no english channels on TV (or any other language but Italian), ants on walls in room (lots), wifi worst in my many years of heavy travel. .28KB down, .10KB up. Couldn't download basic email or open google
Review 65:Nice staff. People there are friendly
Review 66:Location! You have to have a car to enjoy your stay, as nothing reachable on foot. Couldn't try the Paddock restaurant as it closed on the mondays
Review 67:Very modern, very nice hotel. Staff was really helpful. Real ferrari as part of the decoration at the reception area. Lovely personal touches. You get discount if you go to visit the Ferrari museum, which is a fantastic place.
Review 68:Lack of eating facilities nearby at the weekends but the Paddock did amazing food
Review 69:Reception extremely helpful / The room were fantastic with the layout that was perfect for family with an older child / The whole hotel was amazing to look at, clean and perfect for a Ferrari enthusiast
Review 70:Small room and beds for two people. Below average WiFi, at least in our room. Restaurant closed on Monday. Far from the city if you don't have a car.
Review 71:The hotel is very impressive and reminds you where you are : Home of Ferrari. Nice staff and rooms. Very quiet area.
Review 72:To start this place should not advertise that they are a hotel...it is more like apartment buildings. Breakfast was served in a different building which meant you had to go outside to walk to this building in the winter. They turned off the heating from 7:00 pm-7:00 am at -4 C temperatures. The room was very dirty especially the bathroom.
Review 73:As my experience this and last few times, room service members just took used shoes polisher away, but they didn't leave replacement. That's the only problem I got, all the rest are very good.
Review 74:Cafeteria was a bit utilitarian but the food was good. Restaurant was closed.
Review 75:Very helpful staff. I needed a new compact tyre for my spare and the lady on reception sent me off to a local garage complete with map.
Review 76:Breakfast is not included ... Difficult to open the doors when electronic keys
Review 77:Gave us 2 single rooms for a family of 3 with great connection between the 2 !!
Review 78:Gym was open only to Ferrari employees. This was not made clear in brochures. Also, Since Ferrari funds this, they should really have a shuttle to take people from Modena to the Vilage as well as to Maranello and the museums. We had to walk a long way just to get to the museum, which was a long distance.
Review 79:Attendant at front desk was very helpful. She spoke English which helped us tremendously. Room was very clean, but smelled of cigarettes. Facility was neat and clean, restaurants were very good and priced right.
Review 80:We were under the impression there was a gym and laundry room at the hotel but this is only for Ferrari staff.
Review 81:Loved every part of this hotel. From the F1 car on the reception desk to the memorabilia scattered all through the hotel to the decor and cleanliness of the rooms to the breakfast spread. It was great!
Review 82:Felt like the place was dated , pool in a very very sad state nothing for families , kids to play do , outside looking very tired, garden poor especially outside apartment
Review 83:The racing theme
Review 84:Not much, campus layout only slightly inconvenient from parking but OK.
Review 85:Clean, all the right accomodations. Very affordable food service right on campus.
Review 86:No complaints whatsoever and a few minutes drive to the museum as well
Review 87:What a lovely new complex, great attention to detail, friendly staff & great Ferrari related fixtures and fittings. Stay here!!
Review 88:The personnel was excellent, the site is very nice and the rooms are impeccable. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Review 89:What a shame to waste such an iconic brand identity as it is Ferrari, for a complex of almost "military style" buildings, which at best could be classified as 2nd class motel in terms of architecture. Very unfriendly and arrogant reception staff, obviously bothered by our questions about where we could have dinner (the hotel restaurant was closed).
Review 90:A good location for those who for one reason or another, must come to Ferrari factory or Ferrari museum.
Review 91:The Sink was broken, the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor, Breakfast was very very poor, we were offered coffee we asked for a cappuccino and got a cold cup of froth each, the bacon was boiled in fat and the scrambled eggs were hard, Dry & disgusting by far the worst experience we have had in our travels
Review 92:Because of service there weren't wifi at all during our visit.
Review 93:Very unique hotel close to Maranello and Ferrari factory. Breakfast was more than enough, it was really delicious. Every racing and Ferrari fan must stay here at least once in a lifetime. We had paddock club accommodation and got special price dinner in restaurant Paddock. Dinner was also very good.
Review 94:One of the coolest hotels I've stayed in a while, the staff is very efficient and friendly, the checkin was fast, checkout even faster. The rooms and facilities are very clean, hallways are themed with ferrari posters and smell very nice. The breakfast was very rich, with served cappuccino and freshly squeezed juice, fresh variety of fruits (kiwi, pineapples etc.), great variety of tasty pastry. The wifi is free, and worked well also in our room.
Review 95:The hotel is located in Possa not Maranello so even though Ferrari museum is only 3.5km away it isn't really walking distance (especially in 35 degree heat with heavy bags). Also no restaurants or stores around except for the ones connected to the hotel
Review 96:Very professional hotel for such a cheap price. Very good value for money. Staff friendly and helpful.
Review 97:Wifi not working for 2 hours (but a router failure can happen to everybody) Else no "no likes"
Review 98:Good design - Great with Ferrari inspiration Clean Friendly staff Good cafeteria
Review 99:The location was far from the city center, a two mile walk. Also, the staff was snooty and unhelpful.
Review 100:This was a comfortable and updated hotel. The breakfast was an extra cost but a very nice breakfast.
Review 101:Nothing. n
Review 102:location, value for money, interior decor, safe parking, clean, ... every thing was great, thanks Maranello, i wish to come again and again.
Review 103:Incomplete service as self- service restaurant, bar and lobby were closed especially as it must have been known that almost all restaurants in the area were closed too for holydays.
Review 104:comfort and tranquillity
Review 105:On site restaurant open a little late on an evening, minor observation.
Review 106:Ferrari theme, superb design. Excellent staff Great rooms & facilities Good location.
Review 107:The Wifi was not available at all. We did arrive quite early, but the dinner time was already over or so were we told by the not very friendly restaurant staff.
Review 108:I liked the interconnected family rooms.
Review 109:A bit out on a limb but fine for an overnight stay if visiting the Ferrari museum. lack of seating in the sun if having a drink.
Review 110:location for Ferrari Museum value for money themed nature. Paddock restaurant parking friendly helpful staff.
Review 111:The location is a bit far off from the centre of Maranello. Ideal to have a car to go to Ferrari museum an centre of the village.
Review 112:This hotel is perfect for Ferrari fans, love the reception area, and rooms all in red with ferrari pictures, both cars and F1 vehicles.
Review 113:Not much really.
Review 114:If you are a 'petrol head' and like Ferrari's then this is the place for you. Close to the factory so its a good base. Also a good location for business with other 'similar' companies in Bologne.
Review 115:Being woken at 06:20am with workmen washing the roof of my building with generators, loud boots and jet washers going after a long drive from Naples with a further long drive to Basle afterwards.
Review 116:Nice rooms, Ferrari themed,
Review 117:This is definitely not even a 4-star hotel. When I asked for the wine gasses to drink some previously bought wine in my room, the receptionist told me that he's alone and can't come to my apartments. He advised me to ask for the empty glasses at the "bar"- of course, nobody gave me any. Also, their English is very poor. All the room numbers have terrible smell of some cleaning fluids. The room on the photo on booking is not what you really get- aware of the panoramic iPhone photos. We expected way bigger number. Also, their double-bed was just made of 2- very uncomfortable. Souvenir glasses are with scratches and tbh are just expensive fakes. Near Maranello museum there are lots of hotels better and cheaper than that. Disappointed.
Review 118:Ferrari style
Review 119:Be mindful that the standard breakfast is typically extra (10 Euros). Frustratingly, Internet access was not working when my two daughters and I visited for a one night stop-over. Also be aware that the location is 'a bit off piste' if you want to visit the wonderful city of Modena or check out the other Italian automotive superstar factories - such as Lamborghini or Pagani (they're all a good 30 - 45 mins drive away).
Review 120:Nice feature is that a family of four can have two adjoining rooms divided by a common lobby/dividing area. I'd happily recommend this clean, comfortable, efficient & friendly hotel.
Review 121:We spent an awesome short holiday in Maranello, everything was fantastic! Next time we're sure stay in Maranello Village, where everything is about Ferrari!!!
Review 122:Nothing
Review 123:Was fabulous, clean, comfortable and great value for money. I highly recommend it. We had the interconnecting family rooms and they were excellent.
Review 124:For Ferrari fans visiting Maranello this hotel is perfect and surprisingly reasonably priced. The room was very modern and clean. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 125:Would have liked to spend another day there!,
Review 126:Clean and modern complex, large rooms, good food, air conditioning, staff very accommodating, room set-up was excellent for traveling with older child.
Review 127:Wasn't easy to find but that could have been the way we approached.
Review 128:Everything Ferrari! F1 car in lobby...whats not to like. The room is also very nice.
Review 129:the buffet evening meal looked like an IKEA dining area so we went local
Review 130:nice clean rooms and comfortable.the ferrari design was cleverly depicted.breakfast good choice good for italian standards.easy to get to museum.reception staff very helpful
Review 131:Hotel condition Room design Room size
Review 132:The rooms are small and cheap furnished. The breakfast room is having almost no design, even the ladies are very nice.
Review 133:Breakfast could be better.
Review 134:Nice hotel for kids.
Review 135:Everything
Review 136:Everything was perfekt
