Review 2：The owner Vittorio, Geremia who worked at the front desk and Maria Rosa who helped prepared breakfast were warm, very friendly genuine people who were very helpful in recommending restaurants and making a reservation for me to rent a boat. They were incredible. I speak Italian and it was a pleasure to talk with them. The BNB is elegant with a great selection of books. The breakfast spread was excellent and Maria Rosa would make an omelette on request. The bed was comfortable with a large shower and excellent air conditioning. San Marco is a very small town and from the BNB you can reach beaches, restaurants and anything else you may need within 5 to 10 minutes of exiting the BNB whether you turn left or right. Vittorios father is the director of a 4-5 star hotel, the Approdo, therefore for 10 euro you can rent an umbrella and sun bed for the day to be at the nicest beach in town where you can access by swimming a beautiful stretch of coast and see the walls under water from the ancient greco/roman port. The only way you can use the beach at the hotel is because Vitorrio's dad is the director, a coincidence which was awesome because I came to this town in part to swim distance in the open water. The hotel has a spectacular spa which you get a discount at by staying at this BNB- three hours of spa time for 30 euros otherwise its 45 euros which would have been well worth it anyhow. This BNB is a treasure that I look forward to staying at again when I return to San Marco and the town is great. This is the real Italy. I did not see any Americans and only several Brits at the hotel so it was perfect for full immersion in the language and very peaceful. The people in this town are so nice, genuine and friendly. I would not even consider staying anywhere else but this BNB. I was there 4 days, next time it will be longer.

Excellent service from the ever helpful and friendly Maria. Really good value. 5 minutes walk to a good beach, 3 minutes walk to bars and restaurants in the centre of the village and the port.
