Review 1：Nothing really, everything went relatively smoothly.

Review 2：Everything about this property was amazing. Beautiful interiors with a courtyard restaurant, great location with some good cafés, shops and restaurants within close walking distance. Hotel staff is friendly and courteous, plus in-house food is amazing! I very much enjoyed my stay in this hotel and like to come back to this villa during my next visit.

Review 3：All hotels in Pondy French Quarter say 200 mts from the beach. Beware its not the beach , its a rocky over crowded noisy waterfront.

He seemed to be personally invested in my sightseeing, and was ready to go out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my time in Pondy! The breakfast is fantastic, and the courtyard is lovely. Review 21：Hotel is not centrally air conditioned which means you would need to eat your Bf , lunch or dinner in the open air inside the hotel . It is amazing however it is difficult when it is scorching heat especially October month . They don't have room service option until you really need it .

Review 22：The best part about the hotel is the location - in the heart of French quarters . Walkable distance to the Ashram , Beach and also the Vinayaka Mandir . Rooms are spacious and has a heritage touch .

Review 23：The staff otherwise is a little stand offish.. Not very helpful, though extremely polite. I thought service was generally painfully slow till we happened to have a non Indian family sitting behind us one day for breakfast. Service for them was excellent. We were bypassed and Mr Ramesh at the coffee shop made sure they got their breakfast in good time though they came atleast half hour after we came. They were done before us. I did convey my displeasure as I felt this behaviour was uncalled for. Also if you are particular about being close to the sea, then this hotel may not be suitable as it is a good 5-7 min walk from the promenade. We didn't mind it as it was peaceful. Otherwise everything is within walking distance.

Review 24：The place is done up beautifully. Perfect blend of traditional and modern. Its very clean. We had a complimentary breakfast,which was good and freshly prepared. The general manager Mr Sunny is extremely polite and friendly and very forthcoming.

Review 25：Don't expect to have a quick breakfast. The staff whilst good, are not exactly quick, even by Indian standards. I fail to see how it takes 10 minutes to boil water for a pot of tea. The food is good, but it does take a long time to turn up.

Review 26：Very nice hotel, right in the heart of White Town. Aircon works fine, and the food is excellent. Staff we very accommodating when my friend and I arrived at 6:30am checking us in and letting us have out rooms straight away (we had expected just to drop our bags until check in), and we didn't get charged extra.

Review 28：In keeping with its French colonial design, the wc is separate from the shower facilities which is fine, but NO door in the shower area is an issue with small kids in the room, for family travellers this could be a downer. All else was fabulous

Review 34：The beds are supposed to be bQuuen size but they are so not Queen size. We had rather uncomfortable sleep both the nights.The second night the electricity in one part of the room including the AC went off. Basic courtesy would require that you shift us to another room. But no. The management was pretty indifferent in that it didn't even bother getting involved.Their breakfast is a sham. It's a serve-on-table buffet but it very clearly a way to serve less food mite than anything else. We indicated our preferences of the set menu and waited. And waited. And waited.. They didn't even get the coffee and tea till 45 minutes were past. Then started the cat and mouse game of bringing bad coffee and tea while forgetting the milk. And then getting the milk after the coffee and tea went cold. Then again going back for coffee and tea and so on. Believe it or not but this went on for about four times till we decided to just skip it. Then the eggs happened. Even after indicating our preferences of eggs and waiting for close to an hour they screwed it up. Looked like they were trying to go very easy on the cheese, butter and mushrooms. The cheese mushroom omlettes that were ordered had two slivers of fine mushroom slice and no cheese. The baked potatoes we got with our breakfast for four were two cherry sized potatoes. I even took a photo of it for posterity. We called the manager at this juncture and hoped for things to improve but we were quite foolish in expecting so. He disappeared into the kitchen only to appear after twenty minutes where he pretended to be in a hurry and avoided us completely. The only saving grace, if one can call it that, were their breads which were thankfully sourced from a good patisserie nearby.After all of this the least a manager is expected to do, if not outright waive the breakfast charges, is to apologise for the apology served in the name of french breakfast.

Review 36：Staff was extremely helpful, they handled every query with a smile and were super efficient. Robert and Partha deserve mention, but honestly all the hotel staff were welcoming and courteous. The food- both breakfast and dinner- were superb, the dinner especially was one of the best meals we had in Pondicherry. The hotel is always full up during dinner. Great location close to the promenade, and they give you free bicyles to roam around Pondicherry, which is lovely.

Review 53：While the chair in my room looked great it was not comfortable. That meant there was nowhere to sit and as the position of the TV was hard to see from the bed it was a bit of a problem. A peek into other rooms showed that the furniture was much more suitable, it might be just this room! Certainly not a big problem!

I was happy to note that the babble of voices and sounds of cutlery didn't affect the experience of living in one of the rooms on the 1st floor. The doors are sound proof. We had a ball at the New Year Eve party. The place has got a character.

Review 98：As soon as we arrived we felt welcome. The layout and design of the hotel is beautiful and carefully thought out. The room itself, although on the ground floor wasn't noisy at all. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was great and it was in walking distance from a lot of interesting sites. The staff were very helpful in helping arrange activities and they have a great bar area which we didn't see anywhere else!
