Review 9：This was the worst experience among our trip throughout Toscana and I can only recommend not to go there, there are millions of better places for the same price. The 4 stars they seem to have from the past, but nobody cares about anything anymore now. It´s mass tourism and far from quality. Breakfast is terrible, the cheapest from the cheapest and they want to make you pay extra for Italian capucino and tomatoes! It´s a trap for tourists. We wanted to speak to the Manager because the junior suite was sold to us on booking with a lounge area, but in fact it was 2 single beds pushed together. The staff at the front desk couldn´t seem to care less and we were directed to the manager, who was on holiday and there was no representative, I have never heard this before! So we had to pay the entire bill, they wouldn´t even deduct the 2 drinks which we had at the bar as a gesture of compensation. I was supposed to write an e-mail to the manager who would get back to me, which I did twice, but in fact, I never heard of him! It´s sad to see how hotels can be destroyed by poor management.

Review 35：Wasn't what we were looking for. We preferred a room with views of the hills and countryside. We were given a room with pool view and we requested to change to a countryside view, but was given a room facing the woods/forest, like literally tall trees right in front of the room.

Review 37：When you choose a quin size bed it's to single beds attached. You do not feel Toscana from the hotel ( No views, no vineyards ) just a very nice resort. The mixed grilled meat was very poor (but once we said so we got a plate of good cheese instead ). WiFi in the room didn't work. Be sure - the spa is all foe extra money !! Bottom line - Go elsewhere if you are a couple on a vacation who wants hotel for few nights to enjoy the Tuscany views and atmosphere

Review 44：The hotel is very grand and we just loved the decor. There was a huge pool outside although it was too cold to make use of it. The staff was very nice and friendly. Our room was really nice and we had an outdoor little table and chairs which was great. The breakfast was really nice.

Review 45：This is definitely not the Tuscan dream on a remote hillside. It is located just off a main road and felt very much like a conference/business/bus tour hotel. Our room was 403, it was clean and roomy but the noise from the conference suite right below it and from the reception and our neighbours was rediculous. You could hear full conversations from people in the room next door. Ear plugs are an absolute necessity if you would like some sleep. We were very surprised to learn that there was a (substantial) cost to use the spa facilities, even the jacuzzi, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on the description and the bar prices were high I.e. 10 euros for a glass of house red. The room was very clean but old fashioned and the bed was extremely hard. Not a 4 star hotel. If you just need a base in the area, get a last minute cheap deal (we paid 49 euros a night) and take earplugs it is not bad but we wouldn't rush back.

Review 46：We got a really good deal on our room as a last minute booking so can't be too picky. The pool was lovely although in need of a good clean and the breakfast was excellent. The location was also good for visiting the fort and Siena.

Review 49：It's a little remote and involves a lot of driving up and down the windy mountain roads to sightsee. Great for cyclists, Trekkers and people wanting a quiet retreat. Not the greatest base for touristic pursuits.

Review 50：The apartment was very stylish, spacious and clean. It felt very Italian country chic. We loved the decor. It was great having the small kitchen with all we needed to cook when we wanted. The only downsize was the hard, uncomfortable bed. The breakfast was wonderful every day with very helpful, friendly staff. Dinner in the restaurant on the Friday night was amazing and very good value. Overall a fabulous place to unwind in the Umbrian hilltop countryside. Check the directions as it is in the village of Avendita which was not made clear to us.

Review 58：Location is just off a main road, rooms are not soundproofed, wedding on Saturday very noisy, took over the restaurant and half of the pool area, pool sunbeds are green, and need a good clean, first room we were given was dirty, second room better but found dirty sock under the bed, we were supposed to have room overlooking courtyard, eg pool, but were on the other side, some of the reception staff are rather cold, well one woman in particular, hotel looks lovely, but it is a bit grubby when you look more closer.

Review 64：The pool was not clean-there was green algae on the sides of the spa chairs in the pool. We were there for just under a week and there were 2 evening events that went on until the early hours of the morning resulting in a lot of disturbance for the guests; we were not told about these when we checked in. As many rooms open out to the pool area the parties being around the pool at 1am was very noisy and the hotel did little to resolve complaints from guests. We were put into a room near the breakfast room and reception which was very noisy and resulted in us being woken up each morning when they were setting breakfast up. We did move rooms and this was then quieter. There were no spa facilities: we were told we could use the sauna if we pre-booked but no other facilities were available. The shuttle bus to the local resturant mentioned was also not available. Overall we did not get an experience equivalent to the hotels description and were rather disappointed.
