Reviews for Villaggio A Mare

Review 1:Even wi-fi is offered, but I can't remember when I used as a slow net as they offered.

Review 2:Comfortable accommodation, with pool. Has sunbeds at the seaside, what else we need?

Review 3:No WiFi in room. TV screen size is smaller than a laptop screen size. Basics like toilet paper, washing liquid, etc are not provided. Swimming pool is closed between 1 and 3 pm because it is convenient for Italian staff and less focus on what customers would like - as explained by the arrogant manager lady at reception - who closed reception while having her coffee. Beach is a good 10 minutes walk (looks longer with stuff). Game room takes coin and doesn't work quite often and there is no staff to complain.

Review 4:Caorle is lovely. Supermarket is 1 minute by car. Pizzeria and coffe is available where staff is nice. Room size (we had in 60m2) good. Garage is available and surprisingly it is really free as in the advertisement. Take care of maintenance ( changed broken lightbulb as requested).

Review 5:there is a church next to the resort which could be quite annoying with ringing every quater of an hour (except for the night). There is only wired internet in the room. The bed are two single beds with a hole in the middle

Review 6:new, modern facitilies, no cars in the resort at all (each room has a garage) which makes it very comfortable for getting aroung. Kitchen is well equipped and the staff were nice. All was amazingly clean

Review 7:Cable internet - I understand it would be very expensive to cover the whole villaggio with Wi-Fi, the cable connection must be cheaper sollution. But why do you have to write down the password over and over again, when you are in the appartment, so it is clear that you are permitted to use the internet???

Review 8:Location - nearby parks for morning jogging, not in the rush centre of the town, but still close, for us simply great position - that is why we come back every year... Clean, spacious appartments with balcony, newly equipped kitchen, and washing machine, which is really important when travelling with a little kid... Swimming pool, gardens,... everything is well designed and maintained.

Review 9:We specifically booked a villa with garden and prepaid due to high season. Upon arrival we got an apartment on the 2nd floor right above the pizzaria terrace which was open till late. When we complained I was told in a highly arrogant way: 'in Italy that is called a villa', which led to an argument that was obviously quickly won, and was given a villa. At least so it seemed. After 2 days we found out that we were appointed a townhouse and not a villa which was bigger...and what was actually the accomodation we paid for. We were told that we should not use too much electricity or the amps would shortcircuit - so much for paying for luxury (dishwasher, washing machine, airco etc) because we had to choose between appliances to use. The swimming pool was ice cold, fountains were switched off most of the time, kids were not allowed to play with ANY toy and there were not enough beds. The beach is at some 30 min walk and the residents of the resort are 'kindly asked' to walk all the way to the end in a seperate designated area, far away from the only bar at the beach. The restaurant asks a ridiculously high cover charge without being able to explain why, and at the reception they produced another document that we had to pay additional tax for prepaying with a credit card - this was on top of the regular tourist tax. Upon asking what is was for and that I was never asked such tax in any of my previous holidays in Italy, again the same arrogant attitude: 'its the law and there is a first time for everything'. So much for a family friendly resort. Avoid this place, its a cashcow, not a resort.

Review 10:Clean and comfortable townhouses

Review 11:Towels, linens and toilet paper were provided but only if you paid for it. No towels provided for the pool either. Internet in the room only by direct cable, no wifi. Wifi in the area was very poor. The beach, though close, was a good 10 minute walk. Staff was not very friendly or helpful.

Review 12:Location was excellent. The town of Caorle is amazing. The beach nearby was nice. Rooms had plenty of space.

Review 13:Nice and friendly staff, peaceful surroundings, free wifi, garage for the car, delicious pizza store.

Review 14:No hair drier and the wifi could be improved.

Review 15:Very clean, very confortable and quiet, nice pool...

Review 16:There is no sheets or towels supplied. The WiFi is poor.

Review 17:The location was good, a little far out but quiet and peaceful.

Review 18:Very nice location, spacious villas and appartments with stylish interiors and all kind of comfort. Approx. 5 km from the centre of Caorle. Quiet, close to the beach. Aliper supermarket with rich assortment nearby. Ideal for families with children or couples.

Review 19:Facility maintenance is not perfect. One bedroom door couldn't close and the water tap in the toilet was running very slow. Bad connection to Venice or Treviso airport. The swimming pool is closed 1pm-3pm. The nearby places to eat (pizzeria, restaurant, snack bar) do not cook in the afternoon 3pm-6pm.

Review 20:Lovely architecture and design of the complex with very nice swimming pool. Family friendly accommodation. Pleasant staff.

Review 21:No vegetables in shop. Loud and late events. German speaking guests given more time attention and respect than non german speakers.

Review 22:Great pool. Great water gymnastics

Review 23:Despite all the positive aspects (see above) I believe this place isover-rated due to the poor service and several small details that aremissing. We drove all the way from dk and called them in advance to letthem know that were on the way and that we might be a bit late. Allwhat they did was to leave the keys in a nearby Cafe that closes at23:00. We arrived shortly before midnight and we stayed the nightoutside the village (we had small kids). They did not bother making amore suitable arrangement (E.G. other restaurants were still open whenwe arrived). When we complained the next morning, their answer was: wedo not have enough resources for such services. To my mind, this is avery poor service.Other points: 1- WLAN is only available at the swimming pool and the reception, which is outside the village. The WLAN coverage was poor and the internet connection was sluggish. They have only wired internet in the apartments (for charges). 2- Small hot-water capacity 3- No kettle, microwave, or coffee-maker. 4- No towels, bed sheets, soaps, ... 5- The air-condition was pre-programmed at 25 degrees (it was around 40 degrees outside). Fans would have been more useful. 6- They requested 200€ deposit, which was not mentioned in booking.com. We refused to pay it as it was not in our contract. 7- Only italian and german TV channels. I believe this place can be considerably improved and thus leaving an unforgettable experience by considering all of this, intentionally constructive, criticism.

Review 24:The village itself is very nice and secure. The apartments/villasare also nice, relatively new, clean and equipped with basic furniture, including a dishwasher and a washing machine. The atmosphere is relaxingand the village is family and children friendly. There are a fewshops/restaurants just outside the village, and the city center andbeach are also not far. There are sufficient parking places.

Review 25:Extra serving fees are charged in the restaurant. I believe they charge2-3 € / person but this policy is not clearly shown in menues etc.It is only shown on your bill that as a result of this gets higher thanexpected. It is better to pay more than not knowing what to pay for.Even if we learned this is a policy used also other places in Italy.
