Reviews for Hotel Pietra di Luna
Review 1:In a Delux double room, single blanket was given. I called at the reception around 10.30PM but no one picked up the phone so I felt cold the whole night! Was disappointed! In the most expensive rooms available, single blanket for two people even though the room had three beds.
Review 2:The wifi in the public areas was poor and unreliable, no wifi in the room. The bed was too firm.
Review 3:Excellent location, beautiful views, access to beach and free sunloungers. The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was good.
Review 4:Tune the piano or stop people playing it!! Would have benefited from tea, coffee facilities in room without having to call room service.
Review 5:Friendly staff, Excellent location, Pool large.
Review 6:-The service in general: The most memorable example was the extremelyrude staff in the hotel restaurant that did everything possible to chaseus away. When we entered and were still standing, we were asked inbroken English: "Pizza? You want to eat pizza?" and after myanswer "Maybe" the waiter explained they do not offer pizza(so I guess this was a "catch" question just to get us outquicker if we do not guess right even before having seen the menu?).Funny way to treat hotel guests that are about to spend eur 3,000 inaccommodation and definitely the worst restaurant experience I have hadwhile travelling in Europe. Then we were just left there to stand andwait. After some time our son sat at a free table and the waiterreturned to tell us we cannot sit there and should stand up and wait forhim to accommodate us. This was the end of our visit in the restaurant.-We were forced to pay eur 480 for an additional bed, which we hadcancelled upon arrival and never used (and which was taken out of theroom at the moment we checked in). After I raised my concerns and wasasked to express them again on the next morning, the receptionmanagement designed a clear lie to justify their claim.
Review 7:The room was cleaned properly, frequently twice a day and not during theafternoon rest time.
Review 8:Can't think of anything I didn't like.
Review 9:We had a large room which was cleaned daily and towels changed twice a day. The bed was hard like some reviews suggest but for the first time in a long time I didn't wake up with aches and pains. The hotel is dated but has been very well looked after it would be a shame to replace the tiling that is so fashionable now. This hotel has to have one of the biggest pools which was empty most of the time. There were plenty of sun loungers to go round and the sun was out from early morning to late evening. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful you could order hot food which was brought to you fresh having just been cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful in all departments. Towels for the sun loungers were available behind reception and the hotel had its own private part of the beach. Location was perfect. Bars, restaurants, bus stop and small market just yards from the hotel.
Review 10:The bed was rock hard - it was the worst bed we have ever encountered in all our travelling! It is such a shame because the hotel otherwise is perfect. Having a room facing the sea does mean that there is quite an amount of traffic noise but it is worth it for the view. Lack of free wifi.
Review 11:Our room had a balcony with a view to the sea. We had free parking and it was just a short walk to the Main Street of Maiori. The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and well fitted.
Review 12:This hotel is all you would expect from a 4 stars hotel, nice, clean and helpful staff. Staying here gives you the possibility to explore the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
Review 13:There was nothing that we didn't like.
Review 14:The location. The beautiful view. The wonderful memories. The extremely helpful staff who accommodated us with a room to wait in as we had quite a late night flight. Thank you very much for all your caring assistance.Would love to stay here again.
Review 15:Matrace & pillows too hard, not comfortable
Review 16:Convenient location, great beach, promenade, not far from Amalfi, friendly staff, good breakfast selection.
Review 17:Lack of concierge/booking services; needed to find local travel agents. Wifi only in lobby and was inconsistent.
Review 18:Helpful staff. Breakfast variety and service. Balcony and view. Pool and beach access. Room was spacious.
Review 19:Breakfast could have had a few more options and stopped serving at 0930. Bed was very firm.
Review 20:Proximity to the beach (one of, if not the largest on the Amalfi coast). Balcony was nice, room very clean. Great location, not far from beutiful drives and the magic of the Amalfi coastline.
Review 21:Mattresses were much too hard for a comfortable sleep.
Review 22:The room was airy and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped us with providing a parking space for our large van.
Review 23:Whilst it is on the beach you will get the road noise as well all throughout the evening
Review 24:Superb location and was right across the road from the beach Private beach seats to which you have access to Large Room and Bathroom Friendly Staff Breakfast was good
Review 25:Would have liked to have made tea and coffee in the room. Only hot food for breakfast was scrambled egg/toast. Few extra choices like bacon and tomatoes would have been nice.
Review 26:Very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Excellent room with view of sea from front and side windows. Can't fault this hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff and very clean. Towels were checked/changed twice a day. Definitely recommend.
Review 27:Nothing.
Review 28:The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They could not do enough for us.
Review 29:great location and very helpful staff
Review 30:Loved the lovely comfortable sun loungers and large swimming pool. Staff just can't do enough for you and this made our stay very relaxing.
Review 31:Beds are so hard and walls paper thin
Review 32:Staff, beach, pool, lunch at restaurant
Review 33:Public facilities need updating
Review 34:Location Staff Sea view room Good beach area
Review 35:The only thing I'd like to have seen was tea and coffee making facilities in the room so we could make our own drink first thing in the morning.
Review 36:Having arrived at another hotel only to find they didn't actually have a room for us despite having our booking, Hotel Pietra di Luna was a breath of fresh air. Extremely helpful staff and the hotel has a great location.
Review 37:Rooms are of the 80-s design I think.
Review 38:We've ordered a side sea view, but actually got a bit of frontal sea view as well, which was absolutely amazing. There are 8 such rooms, which have balconies to the side and to the front, on the 1-4th floors. Ours was 308. The rooms were clean, staff very professional, excellent hotel.
Review 39:The hotel would benefit with having tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Review 40:Excellent location with good sized comfortable rooms. Free internet access was a bonus. The staff were all polite and courteous.
Review 41:Great location
Review 42:The extremely limited chose of TV programmes. The switching off of the aircon during the nights, madness.
Review 43:Location, service.
Review 44:Very helpfull staff.
